My dad use to heard this song when i was a child, i'll alway thought it was an old rollling stones's theme, but never found it in their discography., Then I realized why... it wasn't from the rolling stones, it was from the creedence musicians in a previous band
Before Creedence Best rock & roll
The first pre-Creedence song that isn't painfully boring.

My dad did studio recording for the Dave Clark Five it's amazing the treasures that are here.
Swamp with Rockabilly, great song!
Maybe both bands heard Don Covay roughly the same time. Swamp def, but blues w no 'billy in earshot.
This planted the seed of what would lay ahead and by late 66 when they released their seventh single they found the swamp sound.
Ohhh una gran rola, ya se sentía el potencial vocal de John Fogerty y esa harmónica estremecedora
love it...
muy buenoooooooo
Great band before Creedence
Amen 🙏
¡Año 1965 ya era CCR!
Yup, john had the sound
Tom is singing on this one. He did most of the vocals during the Golliwogs years.
@@Dulcimerist Nope. Version 1 is indeed Tom, but Version 2 is John on vocals
@@Apo458 This one IS the first version, as clearly stated in the description.
@@DulcimeristLol so true, I had two tabs playing both versions and commented on this one. Sorry for the confusion
The intro sounds like part of a Chuck Berry song.................
sounds like the Yardbyrds
Not bad
"Can I Get a Witness" by Marvin Gaye has a similar tune. I like the Golliwogs song better, though.
