Once you start working on labs and gets some experience in network systems and engineering, all of this will make sense. Even for me, at first, this sounded very complicated but in fact it is not bad. Keep going and you will be fine. :)
These slides are from Cisco and I have modified only a bit. Lots of people asked if I can post these to my website. I am trying to get hold of someone from the NetAcad to see if I am allowed to post them online. If you Google it, you might come across websites with these slides already posted online. If I get the permission to post them, I will do it as soon as possible and make a Community post about it to inform everyone.
Unfortunately, I do not have the right to distribute the slides. But if you Google it, there are some school that have posted these slides sets online. You may be able to download them from those sites.
