Selecting quail eggs for incubation

- Here are some criteria for selecting quail eggs for incubation:
Age: The eggs should be no more than 7 days old. Older eggs have a lower hatch rate.
Size: The eggs should be of uniform size. Large eggs may not hatch as well as small eggs.
Shape: The eggs should be smooth and oval-shaped. Eggs with cracks or deformities are more likely to be infertile or to hatch with deformities.
Weight: The eggs should weigh between 12 and 14 grams. Eggs that are too light or too heavy are less likely to hatch.
Shell quality: The shell should be smooth and free of cracks. Eggs with rough or cracked shells are more likely to lose moisture and to develop bacterial infections.
Breed: Some breeds of quail are better at hatching than others. If you are new to hatching quail, it is best to start with a breed that is known for its high hatch rate.
