This was the hard honest truth. It never feels good when your name is called . My team always did similar exercises. But it is very important to weight the good with bad. It’s very healthy for these young ladies to share their view points. Make sure these ladies always pick each other back up & come together only way it will work.
this was a very hard watch, eniyah im sorry u were called out in such a negative way infront of your peers. The notes should not have been read aloud it will just lead to resentment amongst themselves. How do u expect that poor girl to b confident in herself when yall just read every negative review abt her. this peer review shouldn’t have been done anyways bc 85% of these girls dont have the adequate skills for a level 3 team. yall are barely doing level 3 stunts. and when u say “ some ppl arent ready to pull their peers aside “ what makes u think a little girl is ready to hear that basically the whole team doesnt want her there. its sickening, hiw could yall continue to read all of those notes seeing that little girl crying. i feel terrible for her. these are the things that make ppl quit what they love to do, it doesnt help being called out in such a way. and i cant stand yalls pity excuses after the fact.
No this is an exercise that should have been written by the girls and talked upon BY THE COACHESSSS and the coachesssss should have addressed the girls privately and said you have this many votes and majority of your comments were about such and such . This is not how it should’ve went at all even they realized how fucking terrible it sounded and tried to sugar coat it at the end nah it was handled completely wrong in my opinion these are adolescent brains they are impressionable these aren’t grown adults smh I wouldn’t be surprised they didn’t wanna do the shit no more you have to approach and adolescent mind in a different way from a psychological standpoint
I definitely agree. The idea it’s self I don’t love obviously the coach’s can see who’s not ready. But this seems like it’s going to turn the team against each other. But it was really sad to watch this this should’ve been a coach’s discussion
Exactly ! I understand hearing the girls opinions about what can be better and what needs to change amongst their peers but it should’ve never been discussed in front of them period this should’ve never happened
And then the coach/ team mom gon say “yeah I would bring my whole” meaning she wouldn’t have wrote anyone’s name… like huhhh y’all literally instructed them to write down names so now not only are the girls who got negative feedback probably hurt but now the girls who wrote it also probably have a guilty conscience for doing what they were told to do🤦🏽♀️
@@brooklynqueen4767 my exact thoughts “I would want my whole team to come with me” saying it all condescending as if they weren’t told to pick out certain people who shouldn’t come like this whole thing was disgusting
Ain’t no wayyy Eniah got more votes than phoenix and a few of the other girls tbh. I don’t like that,I feel they only did that because eniah got called out at the beginning. Aww practically the whole team called her out I feel for her. On one hand YES she needs to work on some things but clearly her skill level is there so maybe try to TALK to get and get to the root of the issue, but on the other hand I feel like she didn’t deserve all that she’s a sweet kid I can tell, and she’s always respectful🥺
Not doing your tumbling skills just because you don’t want to do them is never okay, especially when the team is losing points for them. They say she have one of the best techniques and form so it’s no reason to why she’s not attempting her passes. I wouldn’t want someone like that either cuz it’s like you completed your homework and it’s in your backpack but when the teacher takes it up you decide not to give it to her so now you have a zero🤣🤣🤣it makes no sense
Being sweet and respectful doesn’t help win on a competitive team. The bottom line is that she has to work on some things as does some of the other cheerleaders. Eniah is the main one that continuously makes them lose points when it comes to competitions and her peers were just letting her know that they notice. Talking to her didn’t help fix the problem so maybe this activity will.
@@Kaedyn_dayeI literally just watched the last 3 comps and she hit her tumbling! one time she fell because she bumped into another girl and couldn't complete her pass other than that she's ATE with facials everything! she may have mental blocks during practice but she does good on the floor better than others! so many other names should've been called.... I see the favoritism..
@16:49 now Coach Nicole u can’t be like that, your daughter only had 2 negative comments (I personally feel she deserved more) but maybe a lot of people held back because your her mom.
Next season if they split the team and have a level 2, and then the most committed and confident keep as a level 3. Even if it’s a small or a x-small team! It will then give the other girls something to aim for and not just getting a place, they will need to work hard and commit to get on it!
yes!! I feel like they feel entitled to be on a certain level just because they meet age requirements and they got tumble! but they don't have the DRIVE of a level 3 team!
This needed to be done honestly. I'm 50/ 50 about whether or not it should've been filmed or not, and my reasoning is because I would have honestly liked to know what the athletes opinions were; but I also felt what the coaches could have done was spoken privately with each athlete and those with the negative votes have a serious talking to. This session should seriously be a teaching lesson too, for a lot of the girls to use proper grammer. So I hope coach Black was serious about what she said about a camp for them to reinforce practicing the phonix, grammar and penmanship. I'll be honest, some of the girls called out besides Eniyah( I'm sorry for spelling her name wrong again) should have gotten more votes in my opinion. I personally feel that one of the athletes who did not get a vote should have because although she does her job, she goofs off at inappropriate times and doesn't take the coaches critique seriously unless its a negative critique. I noticed Taylor was mentioned on not getting any votes, so why wasn't Williams (Londyn) not mentioned? I was curious. I thought they were mentioning those that were present at that practice, but Taylor wasn't present. Aslo, Demi should've been on the list to get votes tbh. Eniyah seems like a genuinely kind soul and seems to get along with most persons if not all in the gym. She also seems respectful. I hope she get's the confidence to really speak with the coach on why she wasn't doing her pass, because it was really unacceptable that she continued to not do it. Just as the coach said, her technique is really good when she does her jumps and tumbling. I just hope she will be able to pull through, especially emotionally because even though they're saying she shouldn't take it in a negatie way, she's a child and for her, it's still harsh. Especially when some of the girls she may have been close with, wrote the comments.
I find it funny ( not in a laughing way) that these athletes had a lot to say about one athlete. Yet, more than half of the team does not bring energy or positive presence DURING PRACTICES and sometimes when they compete.
I say this because I remember thae coaches had them do an activity to display what they part take in during the routine, and most athlestes had at least a half to more than half of the stck figure they were to draw for that activity. I feel like other than what they see for themselves, they are just calling out Eniyah because the coaches mentioned her many times and confronted her earlier in the practice, yet some athletes who were mentioned many times too were given at least 3 votes.

As a man I have to agree with coaches and team members, you all have to take accountability for your actions and move forward. It's all good to help each other out. What ya'll should do one day without the coaches around call other and practice by yourself. The only way to learn is practice. I wish you guys the best but I want all of you young ladies to do your best
taking accountability is not picking and choosing who you want to call out especially when the one who really need to be called out didnt get nun but 2 votes
19:58 and now i'm invested and confused because I just looked at last comp and if that's eniah that was looking at coach when she was speaking then how could they say that about her? last comp posted she ATE! had facials, was clean and hit all her tumbling!! I pray she doesn't let the haters shake her! i'm pretty sure that's why most old team mates left this team because they feel the favoritism and hate from other mates... it hurts & it's only so much you can take.
and also last video she was called out infront of everyone for having a mental block for the first time ever & said to be "always lying"... that right there might have gave the girls motivation to pick her... they probably already didn't know who to choose but chose her mainly because coach's had called her out right before the voting
You have to also remember the comps and practices they’ve had/been to that wasn’t recorded. Just because she did it on camera doesn’t mean she does it every time and if the past few comps they said that she hasn’t been doing her tumbling then what changed between her doing it on camera and her not doing it on camera?
Ngl I don’t like this…. I get the intent but it was carried out horribly. These girls already have an attitude problem, now imagine how they will really feel now when they realize the entire team doesn’t like them. Some of the comments were petty. “She doesn’t do much”… are you kidding me? The entire thing was wrong. Let’s not forget this entire team has issues. It’s not just a few people. Let’s remember that these girls are in middle school and already are messy and petty. The question should’ve been something along the lines of providing feedback, not “who don’t you want to be on the team”
Idk why yall think “babying” these young ladies their whole career is going to help them or make them better athletes. If they can’t take the hard cold facts/constructive criticism from their teammates and coaches, what makes you think they’ll be able to take it from ppl they don’t know in the real world once they get older?? This exercise was great! The coaches tried pulling the girls to the side and tell them the things they need to work on and do you think they listened?! NO! So now they are hearing it from their teammates/peers,the same ppl that have to suffer the most from them not doing what they are supposed to do! Instead of babying these young athletes, how about we hold them accountable. Eniah was named the most because she don’t do her tumbling skills because she don’t feel like doing them and that hurts the team tremendously,so how are they supposed to depend on her if she can’t hold her part of the stick?! She’s a great athlete when she wants to be but she have to be that same great athlete everytime she performs.I highly doubt that she will make the same mistakes over now that she knows she’s holding the team back for her actions and I hope she’s not the only person who learned a valuable lesson from this, even the ladies who wasn’t named still have things to work on! AND all the bad attitudes GOTTA GO! For the comments of the girls who “don’t bring anything or do anything” BRING PRESENCES! BRING A GREAT ATTITUDE! BRING POSITIVITY TO YOUR SISTERS,let them know they got this and you’re there for them no matter if it’s on the floor or off the floor!
it's too many people that ALWAYS half ass the routine for eniah out of all to be the main one called out. i'll say it again I think it's jealousy because I just looked at lost comp video and eniah hit her skills so i'm confused to where they getting it from.
I feel so sorry for Eniah! This was truly a hard thing to witness. This exercise seemed misguided in my opinion. Ideally, coaches should handle such feedback privately to protect the athletes' mental well-being. Feedback is important, but it needs to be given in a supportive environment, not one that subjects young athletes to public criticism for their perceived flaws. While fostering competitiveness is important, it must be done with care and compassion. This approach fails to create a safe space for athletes to address and work on their challenges with adequate support.
