Another good example of why this country is in such a mess. Rather than focusing on the important issues at hand, we have idiots like this in parliament, asking questions in a language only a handful of people can understand, then wasting everyone's time debating about how he asked the question, rather than discussing the question itself.

Waititi belongs in the days of the musket wars when land was grabbed by warring tribes and the mindset was take what you want from whoever you want and the the biggest bullies, most threatening, fierce and vicious won - the weaker tribe had to roll over and accept it.... now Waititi is ragging utu on the nation expecting to get all he wants and the nation to roll over... you may regret what you have started Waititi...the nation is in no mood to roll over. Thank goodness Winston doesn't beat around the bush. I noticed also when Nicola Willis was giving her speech, the majority of the left side had left the chamber. Perhaps this should be a course of action to take when no English is spoken. Just get up and walk out. Seems to me that there should be a requirement for all parties to at least have 60% of each party remain in the house when an opposition party is speaking. Are we really paying $160,000 a year to see politicians leave the chamber because they don't have the courtesy to stay and listen to all speeches?

No way should any of the debates etc be in Māori it’s ridiculous. English is the language that should be used not Māori. The Māori are being racist no one else. Māori are behaving totally unacceptable. Im of Māori decent and I’m totally fed up with the Māori antics all New Zealanders have to put up with. They are just ridiculous. Winston is so right thank goodness he’s there.

Hi, I am so pleased I promoted NZ First to so many people, my feedback from them is very positive about the coalition and its competent agenda.
Attention Deputy Primister Winston Peters. I wish to push my agenda on the Marsden Point rebuild as we need our petrochemical production if we are going to be a first-world country. All food in our supermarkets and roading has a fossil fuel element to it. I would push for China to be the contractor in this endeavor as they have a successful professional and proven track record of quality infrastructure projects internationally, on time, and within budget. We need a sober view of China's human rights issues that are falsely claimed to be by Western propaganda. China respects the sovereignty of all nations The US bombs and China builds! China wants to trade not war and will be the dominant economic superpower. There are over a thousand petrochemicals we use unknowingly.
Historically, the destruction of Marsden Point was a politics of tyranny.

An attention getting stunt by Rawiri Waititi asserting the theoretical right attached to New Zealand's "bicultural" principle. If it were a genuine rather than a tokenistic national policy he certainly would be entitled to speak or write anywhere in NZ in the Maori language and get a response in the Maori language. In a nation that sincerely applied bilingual and bicultural principles every sign, every document, every book, every TV or radio communication private or government, would have to be available in the 2 acknowledged official languages. Every communication effort between individuals would become a power struggle for dominance. Do we speak Maori or English, who submits to who? Do you want to be seen as weak or dominant? Nothing is more divisive than language. Biculturalism is as nonsensical as multiculturalism, the attempts in the West to force these agendas on national populations through foolish political actions including mass immigration from culturally incompatible regions of the world are resulting in ethnic conflict, racial separatism and nations at risk of falling apart. Good to see Winston Peters respond sensibly.
