The magnus ability to stand absolutely still that you start questioning is that a statue of him
He is still thinking in chess
magnus woke up today and chose violence in last round
“I’ve done this before” powerful words 👏
4:29 somehow i'm yet again amazed by his honesty and transparency. magnus is always praised for his mental strength and ability to bounce back from losses, but here he does not hesitate to admit to the contrary. "a serious blow can break me" i mean who else would say that and show their vulnerability just like that? but magnus just always seems to speak his mind without holding back - one of the many things i admire about him.
HE CAME BACK!? Dear lord, this man is a deity of chess.
He never left...
This guy is the greatest chess player
Of all time . Period . Move on .
Not classical chess
@@mrtfc3734 How so
@@mrtfc3734 Troll
I think garry , Fischer and magnus are all the goats bcoz we don't know what they cud have been had they all born in the same era or the former had the help of engines as The players of today have.
@@juliocadavid6640 Kasparov has a higher percentage of tournament wins. Very similar peak rating with much less rating inflation. More rating difference between him and other top players. Kasparov dominated prime Anand and Kramnik, lost match against Kramnik but no doubt he was the better player and always was clearly above both of them rating wise. Magnus himself said that Anand was not in his prime when he face him for the WC.
0:44 that smile on his face😂😊❤
Bro keeps winning
What's so confusing are people who say Magnus is washed. If magnus is washed, this performance from him means that everyone is lost out in the bottom of the ocean.
the results in last 12-16 months look like kids trying to play their teacher in an afterschool club.
What i learned about MAGNUS:
Magnus loves chess
Magnus loves to play chess
Magnus loves to win chess
Magnus loves to win the game
4:40 "I usually do play well." Magnus Carlsen 2024
I know this sentence is out of its original context, but it seemed kind of legendary to me.
The undisputed GOAT! 🐐
7th tournament victory in a row. 17 time world champion. Nobody can match his prowess, consistency and greatness.
And this isn’t even peak magnus . Peak magnus was a different kind of beast
Magnus is the GOAT of speed chess, Garry is still the GOAT of classical chess.
@@mrtfc3734 Troll. Magnus has highest ever classical rating. Garry was a great attacking player, but not as universal as Magnus (just look what happened when Kasparov faced the positional Kramnik). Magnus is beyond doubt the strongest classical chess player ever.
In terms of overall career (classical tournament wins, how long being #1 on rating lists, etc., NOT pure playing strength), Garry had a long impressive career, but it can be argued that Carlsen has eclipsed him. Even Hikaru has said that he considers Magnus to be the GOAT.
@@GensUnaSumus09 Garry was only 30 points below peak Magnus when ratings were much more deflated. Kasparov dominated prime Anand who was not a weaker player than Fabi or Aronian by any means. Magnus himself said that Anand was past his prime when he faced him for the WC. And he was still 2800. If 2010s rating inflation had happened in the 90s/early 2000s, Garry would have peaked above 2900.
Garry 10 years post retirement was still as strong at top players in blitz lol, beating Fabi and Naka among others.
@@GensUnaSumus09 Magnus is close to having as many WC's as Garry was nr 1. With Garry it was further between tournaments, weaker opponents etc. Magnus with 17 WC's and countless tournament wins is just the undisputed king in the entire history of chess.
I know you agree with me here but i felt i had to sum up 😂
Chess is truly so fortunate to have such a great champion
I was rooting for Wei Yi but Magnus deserves absolute respect. This shows why he's the GOAT. He has the mindset of a true champion.
Incredible that he won wow
congrats to the viking!
Besides Magnus brilliancy Magnus also thank to Pragg who beat Wei yi from a completely losing position😂😂
But Pragg did also beat Magnus in their game yesterday
Prag beat Magnus yesterday. Today Magnus wiped the floor with all of them.
Lots of losses from winning positions in this tourney.
@@johnrichardson7629Haha it's blitz for a reason never give up
0:06 magnus remembering some absurd line he played in 2015
Incredible win
Congrats Magnus!
What a guy . He really inspires me to push my limits as well .
That wont be very difficult
@@zatoichimasseur6767 You know cuz you already reached it 😆
"If magnus didn't exist, either me or fabiano would have been world champion long ago."----- GM Hikaru
He said Levon too.
GOAT 🐐❤🔥
Magnus makes every tournament special ♥♥
this guy tried his best to be humble
"I did this before" literally who can say this but the GOAT??
#1! Nice job again by Magnus!
GOAT
If Wei Yi didn't pull off this performance, tournament will have been over by day 4 😂
Like Magnus said, Wei Yi was on the defensive kept making draw like ian was while leading on candidates. Lmao.
You can afford a second microphone, guys.
Goatnus 🐐
Today was only warm up xD
Pragg is good, really good 🤔
Kramnik where are u now when u r needed the most
How can he only win 40k ? That’s crazy compared to other sports etc
It's not really a major tournament tho
That is the biggest problem in chess. Rapid and Blitz tournaments bring a great number of viewers and can be great for sponsors increasing the prize fund, but they don't.
@@jokerryt2503 even the major tournaments pay peanuts for these prodigious talents. It’s criminal. Levy and Hikaru/Botez/Cramling making major bank comparatively. Magnus is worth 20 million but an NFL QB makes that per year
He won again? Shiiiii
No surprise there
@@joykenn9772 well, considering his position yesterday, it is kinda XD
@@DutchDread Not really he's the best player in the World and it's not even close. He did the same thing in 2017, handicaps himself and disgraces his opponents. Goat Doings
A genious chineese plays the tournement of his life and yet it's Magnus who wins in the end 😂
Who is gonna beat this guy
Magnus is getting older, but he's still a pretty big deal.
It's really easy being a magnus fan.
the guy is too good.. can do or say nothing about it.
In 2 days he will win 8 tournaments in a row.
If Magnus starts a tournament slow, he can still close. If he starts fast, he leaves no chance for the others.
why I feel Magnus is using some performance-enhancing drugs when required during the tournament. his level of play is not the same in the 1st few days and even title Tuesdays especially for his nervous system, Was there any doping done before the games?
Better trophy than wooden carve out next time please!
hala madrid
Magnus needs to thank pragg for this win😂
Even then he wouldhave won
@@afterneet4421 no bro if wei yi win against pragg then wei yo win the tournament
Nah, Magnus always works his socks off and play to his max potential. He had done it countless times in all time firmats in pretty mosaic events everywhere. He is a goat and a God of chess
he would ve tied for 1st place@@anishmandal7371
@anishmandal7371 That would have been a tie breaker at best. Also, Magnus stopped trying once draws would be enough, especially since Magnus will always be the favorite in the head to head.
And then we have the indian prodigy "candidates winner" in last place 😂😂
Gukesh is much stronger in classical, rapid and blitz is his weak point.
@@compositeur8455Yeah obviously..
17yo Gukesh > 17yo Carlsen
Please don't do this, please don't,this actually sounds and looks so bad. Please for god's sake.
Maybe.
Also 17 yo Carlsen hadn't as much technology as today we have. And in 2060 there's gonna be a 17yo that's better than any of these 2 at 17. But still Magnus seems to be the GOAT
Gukesh never touch Magnus legacy
I am really very worried about the involvement of a betting sponsor in chess. This in the time of worries about cheating ? At this level accuracy of 90% loses the game. Throwing a game will be untraceable. It is in total contradiction. Gukesh, rank some 20, wins the candidates ? Yi leading by 2,5 points at the start of the last day and then only scores +1 ? Some more and tongues will start wondering aloud.
Congrats Magnus!
Imagine you are having a tournament of your life beating everyone else, and then there is this guy named "Magnus" just playing his decent games and still won the tournament somehow.
