I had some video suggestions but then i noticed u already had videos on them! Thank you so much for all ur efforts please keep in mind how many people you are actually helping! Thank you❤️
Hi Rach! You are so sweet thank you :) I am seriously so happy that my videos have been helpful for you as you start your new freelancing career. It seems intimidating at first but you’re going to absolutely love it :) there’s nothing like it out there! I appreciate all of your love and support so thank you very much 😊
I have been a cosmetologist 17 yrs but switching to make up artistry. Starting out doing boudior make up. Would like to do bridal eventually. Thanks for the great video.
This video is probably one of the most organized kit tour videos out there (I've watched tons it's kind of embarassing) lol. Omg and I didn't even know olive adjusters exist until now, I'll definitely be getting one for my kit. Also Julie, you are such an angel for linking all of the mentioned products here, so helpful!

Your video is so helpful in having a makeup kit without carrying so much makeup. What are the basic foundation colors you carry or MUST have in your kit all the time? what do you suggest for Indian skin tone for a bridal party? I do a lot of bridal Party so the foundation is always an issue & heavy to carry so many different colors. Thank you once again for your help.
Hi there I’m glad you enjoyed the video!! It depends what foundations you carry in your kit specifically! Each brand has a different name for their shades. In general, I would always carry the lightest shade and the deepest shade in a range and then maybe 4-5 shades in between.
@@julieruby thank you so much. I want to do brides only but as I my passion is only makeup, it’s hard to find brides who only wants makeup done. So I end up doing bridal Party for makeup. (Going with others in a group, pay is less) Keep these videos coming though, it really helps. 🙏
Omg thank you so much for providing such a in depth video of your professional MUA kit, I’m a makeup artist from Sephora but planning to get certified soon and I’m researching how to put my kit together and what things I should have, so I hope you don’t mind but I’m using your video as a guideline to get me started because your kit truly makes sense and all great practical ideas and must haves. Love your videos. I’ve been a mua for about 3 years but you know, Covid and I had 3 kids so I’m trying to get more serious about makeup now. You have so many different brands of foundation; do you think it is necessary to carry so many?
Thank you so much Gabrielle! That's great that you want to start getting back into makeup artistry :) I feel like a lot of people were derailed after COVID as well and just decided to take an extended break. For foundations, I do think it's necessary to carry a variety of options for people's preferences. The ones I carry now differ from this video a little now since this is over a year old (I'm about to make an updated one for this year). However, I think it's important that you at least have foundations with different coverages (sheer, med/full) and also different finishes (dewy/matte). Most artists I know personally carry at least 3 different types to accommodate anyone that sits in their chair.

You're welcome thank you so much for watching the video girlie :) Yeah the CT concealers were honestly pretty disappointing! They definitely excel more at foundations and powders! Be carful using brow razors on clients. Of coarse do whatever you’re comfortable with but they are a huge legal liability. Even for licensed esthetician’s and cosmologists they are illegal in most states for public use on clients and fall under the legality of dermaplaning. I get a lot of questions about this so I should probably just announce it publicly 😂 I cheated and had my husband saw off the tops and I scooped the product out!
@Julie Ruby Do you think that that Artist Kit Company are worth getting? I had been looking at them but knowing the minimum to buy $350 i have been hesitant. I am condensing my kit right now and do you have any favorites that helped? I thought I was the only one that hated duo glue. I get strange looks when I say I hate it. Funny thing i I use the same Kiss lash glue and it is the best.
Do you live outside of the shipping radius?? If you are in the US, there is no minimum spend. If you are within the US, the definitely worth it! If you are outside and do need to spend the $350, I would just say go with the Inglot magnetic palettes. They're sleek and compact like the Artist Kit Company ones. When I was looking into the case it says the mirror isn’t included 💔
That’s super weird! Mine came with it! If it makes you feel better, mine doesn’t fit where it’s supposed to so it might as well have been a random mirror lol
@@julieruby I ordered it anyway cause I have the esum case that came with my airbrush machine so I hope it works out!
