I think it's really good! the only thing I don't enjoy is that the harmonies on the final run (0:39) are way too strong and cover up the bass and the other floaty melody. But the instruments themselves are great, and I feel like just balancing that part out would fix it (assuming that I'm not grossly oversimplifying the process due to my lack of music production knowledge)
Honestly, I think this is a banger. The only thing I really dislike/miss is that at 0:39, the slower melody to counteract what was originally the sub-melody is completely gone. Tho that may only be the case cause you seem to compose *with* SNES limitations in mind, so 🤷🏿♂️
Yeah it does sound off, especially the melodic part at the end before the loop, the instrumentation doesn't do that part justice. But this is not to bring you down nor anything, I love your work, and to be completely fair with you, Sand Ocean theme is peak and it's hard to work on changing or improving perfection :^) That said, this is not a bad track, you still did pretty good all things considered, and at the end of the day, it's still pleasant to listen to, so it's not like an ear piercing experience that makes one physically cringe, it's still pretty good, I like it. Sincerely, the one and only Sand Ocean enthusiast. PS: Is this on the drive alongside the other two?
I wasn't feeling this one when it came out, but upon revisiting it I kinda dig it, especially when the melody switches up. I think switching up the melody is a good thing honestly, for theming like this
I see you tried to mix White Land II's percussion with Sand Ocean. I'd say the beginning works pretty good, and I think the second half is awesome until the very end where the loop happens and that part sounds a little odd to me, but I'd say you did a pretty good job remixing a theme of a hot place turned cold.
I'm 100% fine with criticism for this one btw I'm not too fond of how it sounds either
UPADTE (2 days later): Stockholm syndrome is kicking in I think
For what it's worth, I actually quite like the way you made this one
Sounds like frozen knight league

Idk, I kinda love it
I really love this, my only criticism I would have is the choice of lead instrument.
Sand Ocean's planet experiencing one hell of a climate change
Could you imagine Fire Field?
@@mechaspyder179 hah
stone field
@@G0NNG_official1360 or, Fire Ocean?
I can imagine the shock of whatever creature lives in those super arid conditions. This cover feels like that feeling to me, strangely.
Sand Ocean's looking a lot more like Snow Ocean right now.
(Distant sandworm noise)
(Sonic sliding down sands)
Like my brother said when I mentioned this track to him:
Sand Snowcean 😂
I liked when the background of the rocks and buttes were covered in snow
Like they covered dougnuts in powdered sugar
Honestly, I think this is a banger.

the people and creatures of Sand Ocean seeing snow: *what the fuck is this?*

I think you've fallen into the same type of stockholm syndrome that I have for this one lmao
Finally!
