Save Notch Forest Informational Meeting 9 27 24

After being refused the ability to host a speaker with a different point-of-view at a pro-timber industry forum at the North Adams Massachusetts City Hall, members of a citizens group called Save the Notch Forest Coalition held their own public forum with a pro-forestation point-of-view. We believe in keeping middle-aged, mixed age, and old forests intact to combat climate change, support wildlife habitat, and peaceful human recreation. Our group is working to save our town forest, the Notch Reservoir Forest and historic Bellows Pipe hiking trail, which are facing the threat of logging as early as November 2024.
