Glad you’re making doll videos again!!! When I started collecting I would watch you, BrokenDollyTV and others, hoping y’all would come back. Got my wish! Since the doll world is being flooded with new dolls, it’s been so exciting. I just ordered these two dolls from Walmart this morning. Like you said, they can’t be found elsewhere.
I haven't bought either one of these dolls. However, I do agree with you. I grew up playing with Barbies from the 90's and they were much more better quality in terms of faces, hair, and clothes than the ones that are being sold now. And it's really annoying and disappointing as well. I usually just give my Barbie's yarn hair and hand sew their clothes just so I can be absolutely satisfied with how they look and so I don't end giving up on Barbie in general. They did a much better job with the Monster High, Bratz, and MyScene dolls than they ever did with Barbie other than the fact that Barbies now has Made-to-Move bodies and that's it. And thats what infuriates me the most about Mattel and has me looking to other manufacturers for better quality dolls. I even have 3 BMR1959 Barbies and I have to give two of them yarn hair because Mattel did a crap job with it. And the clothes were okay at best and I definitely plan on making my own clothes for them. So, yea, I'm glad that you were completely honest with your review and that you did a side-by-side comparison with your other dolls. Not many people do that, and I hope that you keep it up for your future videos.

I'm not into OMG dolls but looking at the comparison I definitely see the difference in quality....and that's very disappointing. I don't feel like that's petty,sis. If you know we want to buy the dolls and spend money put them on the shelf. Thats very frustrating! I get frustrated too chasing Barbie at times.I feel like the Barbie Extra dolls are definitely overpriced. They should absolutely have a made to move body at that price point...just period. Yeah, Barbie hasn't been doing great financially in recent years, so they absolutely cut corners in an effort to pad their financial troubles. That's why all the printed denim, front side only pattern screening and dull plastic jewelry. I get it...but if you're going to overcharge make sure that I get a mtm body, good hair quality and facial screening on point. I can live with the less than stellar fashion and accessories.
To get the earrings out you could use hot water (either with her head in a plastic bag like froggy does or just straight, but that might wreck her curls)
I agree with you 100% on this review.... I just got the same two Barbie Extra dolls today and I am not impressed at all with their quality for the price. However I do think that those two are pretty.... Not worth the price IMO 👎🏾
i agree that Mattel needs to do something with their styleing of barbie...and hope these dolls go to the 15$ price point they should be at i got the afro puff and purple pink haired ones they have definite potential
I think now Mattel is committed only to make dolls for children and I believe that the quality dolls for adults are the Barbie collectors line. In the end, a child doesn't care about the qualities of clothes and hair. I never thought that Omgs are intended for an audience of children but more for collectors and slightly older girls. Mga however has always made quality dolls. Barbie extra dolls are a way to launch a product related to Omg. In the end Mattel has always done it just think of My scenes dolls with Bratz. But the comparison as always does not exist. Thank you for your honest review. ^-^
Yeah I order them on Walmart and they arrive super fast and early. They say 29 and I got them 23 omg 😱 I love these doll but they are so extra and I love extra. The flat feet is cuz she suppose to be on the skateboard. It make it easier to skate. Another issue is the hair is really thin. I can see bald spot on the rainbow One which is kinda sad but these are still so pretty imo and worthy he $26

Girl you aint never lie. They look cheap! i'm mad they didn't put them on M2M bodies. All this color and iron on fashion with fake denim and print..... They wanna be in the MGA lane but refuse to upgrade their quality in dolls. Even the hair feels terrible.. 24.99 and they not even fully articulated?! you might as well buy those 15.99 fully articulated Barbie's instead.
Mattel needs to stay on this course and do away with the Fashionistas. Maybe make the Extra dolls into the new Fashionistas and turn the Fashionistas into budget dolls.
I love the hair & face on Doll 5. I was most excited for Doll 4 but after unboxing Doll 3 I don't know I think my excitement diminished a bit for these dolls. Hoping for a sale then I might collect more.

I personally love the bmr barbies I think they are such great quality dolls.These new ones are nice but i think the bmr are better.The best barbies i think at the moment are the star wars ones .
I tried to get into OMG dolls. I really don’t understand why everyone brags on them. I discovered I don’t like the big head, big eye and disproportionate bodies.
Their quality is excellent, especially for the price. Barbie has better portions to me but the lack of quality and articulation is a huge problem for me.
The Quality in the clothes is stunning, the sculpt un those bodies it's so detailed,the hair is soft too... if You want paper/fabric clothes who looks unfinished, and 5 points of articulation try Barbie fashionistas.
Barbie isn’t anymore proportionate. Anyway, OMG dolls have excellent quality (most of the time 😅). I've also dressed other dolls in their clothes (some items fit well)! 🥰😆
The 3 main dolls are the most common dolls in extra i only could find those 3 in stores!Like those 2 you got where so cute i feel like they went to clown style though,It is perfect for a barbie circus!
Idk I've bought two of them, well 3 and have gotten 2 , last one ships in a week or so from Amazon. I have my complaints, but I like that they have moveable joints and their outfits are super cute. Mattel needs more quality control with some things. My fave are #2-#4. #5 is cool, but#1 looks kinda boring in comparison, but still might get #1 anyway. Honestly the one you hated is probably my fave, idk i love the cloud top and everything and the green hat.

The reason you don't see those 2 dolls in this collection is because, when they come to the stores in shipping boxes, only one of each of those 2 dolls are included, meanwhile 6 each come of the other 3, so the ones you bought are limited
I agree with eeeeevrythjng you said!!! Mattel's quality has been sucking. That printing thing they got going on is horrible. I am not too impressed with the new Barbie extras at all. To be honest if I buy them I'll only be buying some of them for the fashion. And I just recently discovered LOL OMG and I absolutely love those dolls. The details are amazing. And Barbie definitely copied these extra dolls off of LOL. And that song and music video they just came out with is straight copied from LOL extra music video. I'm a Barbie girl for life too. But they are seriously lacking. And right now I am ok with giving LOL my money. And let's not even go into the diverse skin tone that LOL has going on that Barbie lacks.

I want to make a doll. I used to collect porcelain fairies but had mixed feelings about collecting things like that. I found 1980's Mattel barbies at the thrift store. Love u Pretty boss. I totally agree that the quality is poor, but I readily admit that I don’t know what actually is a fair price. As an adult, I’d rather pay $5 more, lose the pets, and get better quality in the doll. Then it’s probably not appealing as a kids toy, so it becomes too niche to be profitable. Like someone else said, Mattel has had some financial problems, and they seem to be trying different things to see how to increase profits. I don’t think you are being realistic expecting this for $10. You can’t compare an Integrity doll that costs 5x as much to these dolls.
The curvy dancer barbie was extremely difficult to get.I was really lucky to walk in Target one early morning and she her physically and put a small dent in my budget and bought her.I didn't realize shopping online was a pain in the 🍑
It's refreshing to hear your honest feedback. I agree that on Instagram, it's like every doll page has been talking about these dolls with mad praise. I agree with you. There are elements that I like but I really would only purchase #5. I do like Barbie but not enough to get her right now. I do feel like there is a little bit of this mentality that when something comes out that is super loud and new from Barbie or MGA, everyone FREAKS OUT in mass hysteria. For me, I just need an honest look at the product without all the hype.
Too bad about the flat feet. I think I like the corn rows doll most. This line reminds me of the old Barbie Style dolls but tacky. Barbie's clothing has nothing on MGA's and definitely nothing on Integrity's, especially the guys. Why can't we get some nice fashionable Kens?

I like your honest review. Yes they DEFINITELY could be much better and have more quality items. But we also have to remember these are kids toys not something made for us adult collectors so some things we can’t be that hard on Mattel about because it’s made to be “cutesy” for kids. I don’t think they should be worth as low as $10-12. You are getting a lot in the pieces, hair, outfit. Maybe more towards $15-19.
Adult collectors are the market now, Mattel can't continue to overprice and deliver less than the competition. Kids are playing video games and using tablets, Mattel has become dated and if they don't step it up Barbie won't save them.

So girl that's why we are entering a new day and era with Barbie BML made to move I think the BML line is by far by far you say it again by far my go-to Barbie doll now for the rest of my life when I first seen it BML dolls I knew I wanted to collect again I got out the habit long time ago because I got tired of the stiff bodies once I seen that Ken doll I knew that I was going to start collecting again because I just got back into it maybe last month I had a couple of Barbies maybe like five and when I seen the new made to move Ken it was a wrap I kind of like this line but the only person that I'm buying in this line is the one that's coming in the mail and that is Barbie pinkalicious I said that I wasn't going to buy another White doll but that's the only one I'm buying out of that line because I feel like she got on better clothes than them her hair has pink in it pinkalicious
If you want to know if Mattel is going bankrupt, you have a whole internet at your fingertips to get more details; there are lots of articles. Reading more might help explain to you why they don’t make dolls like they used to. I respect people who are opinionated, if they are informed. Your comment about the BMR1959 dolls ticked me off. A copy of the designer’s signature: Carlyle Nuera is on every box, and he is the same guy who designed your beloved Ella doll. It baffles me that you would buy these dolls and not even check who designed them. There are people behind the designs, and they are tasked with an objective within a certain budget, so I wish you would consider that when ragging on the dolls. That doesn’t mean you can’t be honest.

I can tell you for sure... Mattel is having deep financial issues. They have laid off TONS of employees and barely staying afloat.

I totally agree that the quality is poor, but I readily admit that I don’t know what actually is a fair price. As an adult, I’d rather pay $5 more, lose the pets, and get better quality in the doll. Then it’s probably not appealing as a kids toy, so it becomes too niche to be profitable. Like someone else said, Mattel has had some financial problems, and they seem to be trying different things to see how to increase profits. I don’t think you are being realistic expecting this for $10. You can’t compare an Integrity doll that costs 5x as much to these dolls.

It's refreshing to hear your honest feedback. I agree that on Instagram, it's like every doll page has been talking about these dolls with mad praise. I agree with you. There are elements that I like but I really would only purchase #5. I do like Barbie but not enough to get her right now. I do feel like there is a little bit of this mentality that when something comes out that is super loud and new from Barbie or MGA, everyone FREAKS OUT in mass hysteria. For me, I just need an honest look at the product without all the hype.

Too bad about the flat feet. I think I like the corn rows doll most. This line reminds me of the old Barbie Style dolls but tacky. Barbie's clothing has nothing on MGA's and definitely nothing on Integrity's, especially the guys. Why can't we get some nice fashionable Kens?
Like someone said, she’s on a skateboard. Why would she have heels? Then again, the could've made her “made to move”, or given her articulated ankles like another Barbie doll I have.

I like your honest review. Yes they DEFINITELY could be much better and have more quality items. But we also have to remember these are kids toys not something made for us adult collectors so some things we can’t be that hard on Mattel about because it’s made to be “cutesy” for kids. I don’t think they should be worth as low as $10-12. You are getting a lot in the pieces, hair, outfit. Maybe more towards $15-19.
Adult collectors are the market now, Mattel can't continue to overprice and deliver less than the competition. Kids are playing video games and using tablets, Mattel has become dated and if they don't step it up Barbie won't save them.

So girl that's why we are entering a new day and era with Barbie BML made to move I think the BML line is by far by far you say it again by far my go-to Barbie doll now for the rest of my life when I first seen it BML dolls I knew I wanted to collect again I got out the habit long time ago because I got tired of the stiff bodies once I seen that Ken doll I knew that I was going to start collecting again because I just got back into it maybe last month I had a couple of Barbies maybe like five and when I seen the new made to move Ken it was a wrap I kind of like this line but the only person that I'm buying in this line is the one that's coming in the mail and that is Barbie pinkalicious I said that I wasn't going to buy another White doll but that's the only one I'm buying out of that line because I feel like she got on better clothes than them her hair has pink in it pinkalicious
If you want to know if Mattel is going bankrupt, you have a whole internet at your fingertips to get more details; there are lots of articles. Reading more might help explain to you why they don’t make dolls like they used to. I respect people who are opinionated, if they are informed. Your comment about the BMR1959 dolls ticked me off. A copy of the designer’s signature: Carlyle Nuera is on every box, and he is the same guy who designed your beloved Ella doll. It baffles me that you would buy these dolls and not even check who designed them. There are people behind the designs, and they are tasked with an objective within a certain budget, so I wish you would consider that when ragging on the dolls. That doesn’t mean you can’t be honest.
