Oh Dela, girl It fills me with that cute relatable joy that your with someone who helps you feel in a safe space. Mourning is a subjective process, do you. Nobody can dictate how or what's the 'correct way' to mourn. Rejoice where you can in the memories that you shared with your dad. Oh hun, I feel for you and am so, so sorry for your loss x
It was YOUR Dad, not theirs. If you want people there to know that you are mourning, then do whatever is customary. Otherwise do what you feel. A color of clothing doesn't change the fact thay your loved one is gone
Yall are cute together.☺️ Mourning is not a science, do you D, everyone is different, doesn't make it right nor wrong, just different. Very nice place❤

@@eileenwatt8283 Stressful to you. Ghana and Africa are no picnic either. Just be honest with people. Nowhere on Earth is perfectly peaceful. Now with Ghana and most places in Africa, you won't be able to go anywhere with that much poverty and inequality and live in perfect peace and prosperity. You can find and make peace wherever you are.
We are not doing anything like that😂Dela there is nothing wrong doing such either in my opinion. Your boyfriend has a free spirit. Thanks for the vlog.
Yes you are no longer a child so do what aids you to cope with your grief each person has a right to do what's best for them,Death is not a time for mourning but a time to be joyful as your dad lived a full happy life, and he is not in any pain or misery.you said it yourself you don't want to.and people must stop telling big people what they should be doing and how to do it.and I don't think your dad wouldn't want you to still be mourning.
Sis when my sweet brother transitioned his favorite color was purple so that's how we showed appreciation for him. You wear what makes you feel at peace. Black is indeed classy but in these modern times and knowing our love ones transitioned to higher heights, we should celebrate that they earned their wings. Well at least that's how I see it. You do you hon. Uhmmm, tell Mr. that you packed your chastity belt. 🤣

It's good you are moving on.Where is this spot, Dela? YWhen you wear black you are doing that for the deceased, my dear. Its probably for about 40 days or so. Those who see you in black will mourn with you in solidarity. They will comfort you and help you through. If not, some may see it as uncaring.. In some cultures, sons and daughters shave their heads when parents pass away. Tradition tradition tradition
I watch your progress in Ghana and the informative videos. Now, as much as I understand you want to move on, what you are doing is wrong. You need time to heal and if want a rebound relationship keep in out of socio media. It just feel like you want revenge and want to rub it in his face.
@Dela, people are moving away from that dark gloomy wearing black when someone dies. When one of my older sibling died 2 years ago noone wore black. That was her wishes. She left money to have a party on her. We invited all her friends and played reggae music. She loved the clubs. We had a ball. It was like being at the club. She use to take me clubbing with her. You already mourn your dad for 7 days and wore black. Life goes on if you feel it's time to move on then it is. Don't live to please others with rules that makes no sense.

Culturally you wear black till at least after the funeral. Those that say to wear what you want do not understand cultural expectations with regards to mourning. I would also minimise public exposure of “fun” such as romantic getaways whilst your dad is yet to be buried. I know that it’s time away from all the sadness but showing this publicly minimises your grieving and would be frowned upon by the community. That’s my humble advice.
@@brownbabygirl When Queen Elizabeth died, our nation (the UK) went into a period of mourning. TV presenters wore black. Members of the royal family wore black.
