- 2024 Republican presidential hopeful Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis tells "Face the Nation" that if the upcoming election is about former President Trump or "religating the past elections," it will be a "really nasty election."

Re immigration:
1) Sweeping immigration reform is overdue, but funding shouldn't be withheld until our dysfunctional congress agrees on reforms since funding is needed immediately!
2) A combination of Federal involvement AND State immigration policies (in compliance with the same International Humanitarian policies all U.N. members are held to) should continue, because;
a) States need Federal funding help to accommodate legal immigrants, and
b) an "all hands on deck" response is needed (incl the Coast Guard, involving Mexico & other Gov'ts, scholarships for law students to fill legal immigration processing positions, co-managing inter-state relocations and venue transfers, Etc., Etc.).

personally address all voters DAILY to update which daily tangible actions they've taken (& update results), both the ease citizens' anxiety and to counter the negative spin that their political opponents are capitalizing on! Please. Thank you.

A concerning question-DeSantis and Abbott are flying and bussing immigrants to other states. I realize DeSantis does not want Hispanics in his state. But he doesn't seem to be dealing with the solution at the border.

You need to check your sources and also check in your racism at the door. Almost a third of the population of FL is Hispanic, and in some areas, Hispanics are the majority. Next, do you think FL and TX should house and provide for every criminal that attempts to cross our borders illegally? No. They shouldn't. And because our Federal government is doing nothing to protect and defend our border, where does that leave Abbot & DeSantis? Up to their own remedies, and both of them have done quite well in spite of the ridiculousness that is our current administration.
