Nice review. I have had 2 on order since the beginning of August. You should make an update though because it no longer comes with hydraulic brakes. I was pretty upset by this because when I ordered it stated hydraulic but now comes with mechanical. Himiway customer service told me the the change was made for safety. Hmmm. Not sure I believe that. Still looking forward to getting them.
Waited 6 months to get my bike then another 3 months for my basket and helmet. Still waiting for my free hat. Ordered it in May and got it in the fall, a month before snowfall in Sask., Canada.
Himiway makes some enjoyable stuff, and I think this is great for scooting around town. Class 2 is the sweet spot for me, and I specifically shopped for one I could ride in parks and trails. Downside is I had to mod it to keep up on group rides, lol. Thanks for the video!
The “twang” is from the sound bows make. ;) Family stuff means I can’t get to the range enough to keep up, so I’m focusing my time of creating content at home.

I know. One of those videos is mine. lol I always evaluate bikes with the pedal assist set up with factory settings unless the manual specifies the user adjustments. The adjustments to which you refer are “hidden” menus, so they don’t factor into my evaluation.
I like my himiway, the motor is really strong, especially compared to my juiced. I think where the himiway falls short is their customer service. I recently purchased a cruiser that worked for about 5 miles. 2 weeks and over 30 emails later, bike is still out of commission. The bike is a blast when it works. My wife actually likes the escape more as it feels more comfortable and manageable despite being heavier. Totally agree with you with the awkward pedaling.
Your story is not unique to Himiway right now, unfortunately. Every major ebike brand is struggling to keep up with customer service and parts. I do hope you get it sorted out soon, regardless.
I ordered an escape on July 18, 2021. Due for shipment to me in September. Still waiting yet they can send you one before the one I paid in full for? Great, wonder if I can get my money back.
Family stuff means I can’t get to the range enough to keep up with that channel. I’m focusing my efforts here until this channel gets momentum because I can make videos at home.

Added 17.5Ah battery which is much better. You can upgrade to hydraulic hybrid for 50-60 bucks. Which would have been better than mechanical brakes.
I have a 29” inseam will I be able to put my feet flat on the ground on the seat?
Juiced blows it away, just my opinion.
WOW!!, Can't believe how quiet it is even on the road, (pavement) on the trail, you couldn't even hear, it, am impressed..
This bike is so underrated. The fact that it has rims instead of flimsy spoke wheels, makes it a beast on any terrain.
the bike and it's manufacturer are substandard, support is non existent. Bad brakes, poor front shock, it's a $999.00 value at best and buyer beware!

Ha! Yes, it seems like a lot of the ebike riding groups are made up of speed demons. lol

Too bad they switched from hydraulic brakes to the cheaper mechanical brakes before I could purchase 1.
how do you adjust the rear suspension?
You can go into settings and change your speeds at 0-5 or 0-7 0r 0-9 power assist ~! There are video out their on how to do it .

This costs half what the cheapest used Vespa is listed for in our area right now. Most are 3x the cost.
I hear due to supply issues they now come with mechanical disc breaks.
You know, nothing surprises me anymore with the rapidly changing ebike parts issues.
