However when Dame said he told Irv to stay out of his business once he found out that Irv put together the Jay's Got ur self/super ugly freestyle the thing is that wasn't Dame's business it was Jay's business that he had with Nas.

They were in the business of selling “music”. They literally make money selling music. The two are not separate. So, If Irv put the battery in jays back, to make a dis song (music), without Dames consent or knowledge, that’s literally interfering with Dames business.
And, music is based on coolness and reputation. The moment an artist loses their cool factor, their music stops selling and they make no money.
Example: vanilla ice and hammer both sold millions of records before the public perceived them as corny.

So, in the 1990’s era of gangster hiphop, taking a loss could’ve chipped away out the public perception of rocafella.
Which, in a round about way, that loss was a part of its demise, and why Jay jumped ship and sabotaged the brand and threw Dame under the bus. Their visions were no longer in alignment. And both of them chasing Aaliyah didn’t help either.

There was Street close connected to hip hop the flag girl in fly Guy we're always fashion icons if they wore dapper Dan originals from back in the 70s and 80s or any other of the individuals throughout the country that would doing clothes that were specifically under a hip-hop genre then you have the b-boys and b-girls who were dressing you know for their dance and breaking competitions those crews dressed very Urban but there were no labels that specifically did that because even designers like Willie wear didn't have the Morro Bay nor hip-hop centered stylization yet
