Got a Yamaha Yzf600R as a first bike and it’s been nothing but smiles. Unfortunately I did go down and didn’t have full gear on but I didn’t break any bones so I’ll be back soon. All I can think about is getting back on this bike.
I wanted a R6 real bad cuz it’s my dream but but I came a crossed a 2007 Yamaha fz6n for 3k with only 25k miles and I’ve been loving it and was such a steal in my opinion and love that the motor is based off the R6s
I bought a 2006 yamaha r6 50th ann. edition, and its been one of the best bikes ive ever sat on. Every bikes has the goods the bads and the uglys, but its what you are willing to tolerate and sometimes the good way out way the bads.
100% agree on the bang for you buck, zx6r honestly performance wise is a much better bike to and considering it's usually cheaper i'll always go with a zx6r
I wish I bought one when I heard early that yamaha were going to discontinue the 600cc class. In the UK the price for a Used R6, even the old shape, is more than the asking price for what it was originally worth brand new. Would have been an investment.
I want a R6 so bad and eventually a 2008-2014 r1 eventually but im slowly leaning towards the 636 just because there the only 600 in production (for major brands) and the r6 is now discontinued so I feel like it will skyrocket in price but im not sure yet and the 636 (like you said) is better for the bang for your buck kinda deal but I deff will get one eventually :D, also your voice is so soothing when your not yelling lmao
the 636 can't easily have auto blipper, unlike the R6 which can readily accept up/down quickshifters. The 636 electronics is also a little less basic than the R6. so yeah.. it's cheaper for a reason..
@@KimmyR3 actually it can, especially the newer models and its not hard to install one if theres not. The R6 is expensive because its made for track and that they stopped making them a while ago so there harder to come buy, the 636 is better then you think it is
Any info when the yzf R9 will be introduced (same engine from Mt09)? it should replace the R6 beacuse the R7 is just too weak to replace the old 600cc class.
Make sure you get a power commander or tune on it for the full system. Im hearing ALOT of pops and bangs on your decel. Might be fine, and some pops and bangs are nice, but it sounds like you have alot.
I’m upgrading from an r3 I had for two years that I just sold. R6 will be my next bike. Like u said just a matter of finding a good one. Loved my r3 fantastic starter bike. Yamaha has The best looking newer bikes which is why I want to stick with them. Nothing compares to the new face lift of r1,6,7 😮💨
i've been saving for an r6 for years and then they delete production on them for the r7.... guess i'll get an r3 and learn better with less speeding tickets
@@johnathonkeith4798 I’ll assume you meant the r7 instead of r8. The r7 and r6 are VERY different bikes. Unless you plan to track the bike a lot, the r7 is plenty of fun and a great bike. It’s really an MT07-R tbh, which will be more practical and fun on the streets. You should not even be considering an r1 if you have no specific reason, or purpose in mind. 89% of riders never even need to go past a 600c or maybe 750cc class. 99% of riders will never even ride a 600cc to its limits. You can always upgrade later, but r7 and r6 would cover all of your bases. Plus, in certain situations choosing an r6 over an r1 might save your life. There is really no margin for error when on a liter bike. Ride safe!
Hi, im planning on to purcahse a second hand new gen r6 its been a dream of mine from its launch... As my first own bike... I have ridden 700cc bikes of my frnds... What do suggest...?? About pricing how much should it be?? For a used r6..?? I need your help guys...
@@wishesm3 🥲 how much is a track day where u are? Seen your track vids, In Aus it's like 300 bucks but if I had an r6 and no twisties I'd go track at least once a month despite the ridiculous cost

Worked my ass off for 3 years and only I can afford is an R3! This one is a beast but would take a couple of years again to finally afford it.
R3 is just as fun! Love that bike

I would NEVER pay 14k-15k for a R6 lol. If you add a few thousand to that, you could buy a new 1000 lol. But great review!
1000cc bikes use double the fuel of a 600cc one, not sure if thats worth it..

buy 09 and up ONLY best bang for buck you'll thank me later
Just keep it under 6000rpm if you scare. Under 6000 rpm it’s very weak and easy for new riders

Isn't now illigal to drive r6 on street?
no
no but the new one is track only but the others u can
2020 is the last street legal year for the r6, anything onward is track only
