A good option for both flood and throw, but I liked the M1 and hoped they would release a cheaper lep version.

I have all my fingers and toes crossed that LEP lights become the new norm for throwers and they manufacturing costs start to drop. I haven't tried one myself yet and am itching to get one out into the woods to test out. I think M1 vs M2-X piece of content would be prilliant

Agreed, a comparison would be great. Maratac have some more reasonably priced LEP's, but if you import, you could be liable for horrendous duty costs. Thus has put me off buying the latest DX Reach.

How do you pre-select the mode BEFORE you turn on the light, just to be sure you're starting either the flood or the spot mode?

If you do a momentary on press there's an LED on the side that shows which mode you're in

@@MoorlanderEDC Sounds like you can't avoid turning on the light then if I understand you correctly. I understand momentary, but that still would turn on the front light just to check the side LEDs?

Hey Corey. Yes, there's two versions. The M2 and the M2-X. This one has that side switch whereas the M2 has the switch on the side of the body 🤙
