The film you purchased, if you would have put it on underneath the glass, would it have given the same color effect? I have beveled glass I want to apply it to on a cabinet but haven’t yet ordered the film, and wanted to know if the color would work if applied to the glass underneath instead of top.
The pink is RUST OLEUM Ultra Matte Interior Chalked Paint in Blush Pink, and the pearl is Rust-Oleum Metallic Accents Water Based Metallic Finish in White Pearl

I don’t see why it wouldn’t, would probably look better too, the film is supposed to be safe to remove if it doesn’t look right
