  • Aiki-waza is nothing magical nor mysterious, but it is the ultimate form of the joint-lock which locks up the opponent’s whole body through its joints without twisting them or delivering pain. Aiki-waza never works without a solid unification with the opponent’s body. If you see someone throwing an opponent without first locking their body, or not to mention without even touching the opponent, it is a pure show or deception, it is never genuine Aiki-waza or Aikido.
We make series of these Aiki-waza tutorial videos, self-defence tutorial videos, and grading syllabus videos that cover all the techniques you need to know in training Yoshinkan Aikido . It looks easy when a real master like Mori shihan performs Aiki-waza but we need to be his uke to really learn this! After that, lots of practice is needed so that it can be done automatically and naturally. There are no shortcuts.

Well, really loved this. Finally somebody shares and explains aikiwaza. There really is not enough material about subject or people, who actually can do this. So far only Ikeda, Saotome senseis have tried to demonstrate and explain. This Mori-senseis's explanation is most thorought. Thank you!

A lot of what passes as "ki" is actually correct body mechanics, correct spinal alignment, balance, timing and the focus of the power of the whole body! The arms are merely the extension of the body. It looks like magic but we need to be his Uke to actually experience this. We learn through feeling ...... it's tactile and not visual. Aikido, Aikijutsu and all the classical martial arts were transmitted personally from master to disciple. These arts cannot be learnt through books, videos, youtube etc. Nowadays, there are some masters wanting us to pay to learn through their videos!
