It's a charming ad and of course the moral is about giving to those in need. I don't understand why the Gran's family couldn't have just visited her instead of waiting for her to receive phone data in order to video call. What if she didn't have a smartphone? This ad is wonderful but if could have been bolder if it were advertised for something else, to show the thought of giving to someone else be more meaningful and with a better reason than giving a SIM card, it's encouraging people to assume how someone's life is going and if the deed is going to benefit them in a way you expect it to.
