It's definitely better than 4D. Rather than buy 4D, better save at least RM10 per month and get 1 entry. You get to keep your money, and stand a chance to become a millionaire...
If lottery, you lose money after each round. SSP saving is still in the account and eligible for draws according to your savings until....Take note there are conditions such as min amount and waiting period to eligible for certain categories of draws. Always believe it is possible to win great prizes in 2022.

Allocating your emergency fund here instead of regular savings acc would be a great idea, since it offers the same liquidity but with bonus benefits
I would put my emergency fund in a money market fund instead.
This is like buying a lottery with your ssp interest generated. Although you might think the interest is a very small value, but when the certificate number come to 15digit, you can imagine the interest from the pool of money is certainly very grate and the chance for the winner is definitely very very low. By giving away luxurious car the bank should consider boosting local economy like giving away more prices but local manufactured car or some other local property or product.
What kind of the SSP is eligible for the millionaire draw, SSP premium or SSP platinum?
I think, putting aside some money into the SSP SE optiom may be good. Just treat it like an FD, which has the chance to give you a bonus price..

I dont like how the bank trick my mother to join this SSP. His face and behaviour when try to convince my mother to join SSP is annoying, they clearly just want commission when customers join the SSP.

Ya! A lot of people do not know about it! I guess it's a good saving tools to save your extra money, diversify for a chance to win something at least, rather than putting it in somewhere with low interest. For me, it's the same thing, so I would rather consider putting it here.

Not to my knowledge, no. Not so far.
Most private banks are not this generous or if they do have such a plan, the odds are even more abysmal to win.
But what are the odds? And also, you don't get interest on the savings. It's using the concept of some savings in some banks in poorer economies where people only have small amounts of money. This is because the interest on a small capital is not life changing, but the chance to get life changing money is more meaningful for these people. So, essentially, it's forgoing small amounts of interest for a potential of getting life changing money.

Well yes its really a game of chances... no guaranteed here... if you want a chance to win something you can consider but do remember theres no guarantee of winning anything.

why bsn is giving away so much money. whats is the benefit to the bank. how can they profit from this. whats the catch? isn't it just too good to be true?
The interest rate is so low and you need to keep the money in the account for long periods. That’s how they benefit. They have a bigger pool of money to reinvest.
No thanks Peter! Forgoing a little interest for a chance to win a million dollars is like paying a small amount for a chance to win the lottery. Playing the lottery is not financially wise and neither is this. I expected better from a financial education channel like yours.
Hi Brian, thanks for the comment. As we have mentioned in the video, the returns is not a great one. That's why we are not talking about this as an investment tool but rather a place to keep your money that you dont really bother about returns. So if anyone wants to try this, they can do it with a small portion they feel comfortable with.😀

by the profit from managing your cash... most bank make money like that, use your money to make them money ...
their return rate are very low also like 1.9% in video.. while TH and ASB give 3% and 4%..
those 2-3% different is a lot of money for banks , so i think that how they got money ...
