This video will be good for anyone who searches in the future. Unfortunately a year ago when I had to take the heads off my tiburon to change the valves I didn’t have a video to watch for any help on them. So it will be good for anyone in the future needs. Also for anyone who watches this the bolts for the cam caps snap very easy. Had a hard time finding replacements for them but got lucky and a buddy had some. So anyone who dose this use care.

That reason I make videos for Tiburon community because there none. You broke your bolt I thought would strip first then break. Why you need Change your valves I'm just wondering.

@@Lilmiddwest lol I broke 4. 2 removing them and 2 cams went back in. Bought the car with 140k ordered new gates timing belt kit. Came in mail decided to change it when I got home from work. Went 2 miles down road and snapped old timing belt on my way there. I was pi**ed. So had to tear it down and only bend the valves was so glad I didn’t destroy the piston heads. Car now has just rolled to 160k and doing great since the rebuild

@@Johnnycarrot81 oo I see snapped your timing belt when you order a new timing kit. Well at lest you fix it o see ppl on Facebook just sell car when rimming belt break. I'm just want to built my engine for making more hp for my turbo kit.

@@Lilmiddwest yeah I love the car but normally anything I fix what I break. There not fast at all stock but when you build it they can be nice. What power was you making on the turbo. I want to boost mine in the future I’d like to start of with a supercharger for now might move to turbo. Where I’m at the damn super chargers are hard to find only once in a while they pop up lol.

@@Johnnycarrot81 well I don't know yet because I have an oil leak I have to fix first then take it back to dyno. I'm running standalone and I'm doing body work on it. I'm trying get my other Tiburon run right first then supercharger it.

lol like how you apologized to the butterfly.
looks like you got some serious cleaning ahead of you, might just be easier to replace if you can find aftermarket.

Yea if I have money to spend but I have time to clean and port out the heads. I'm not rich just poor guy likes to do extra work.

Are the head bolts torque to yield? I just did a head swap 500 miles ago (new head bolts after I stupidly let the belt snap) and I think I didn't torque a cam bolt completely tight. I'm assuming it slipped timing because of my mistake (couldn't spin the engine by hand, but once i removed the heads, its easy to spin it over). I plan on just putting new heads on it again, but do I need new healf bolts as well?

I never rebuild this engine yet still waiting my engine from machine shop been over almost year and half. I been rebuild hemi and Chrysler 3.6L most my time. You could buy new valve if you want to save some money.

@@Lilmiddwest I was thinking about replacing the valves, but I was weary of getting into something that I haven't done before plus the heads would only run $50ish each. Would you replace the head bolts? They're only $30 from Rock Auto, but didn't know if needed to. Do you have a video of you replacing valves? Really appreciate the input man.

With cylinder head bolts, I didn't see any about reusing them. For Chrysler of bolts are not scratched you can reusing them. If me and $30 for both heads for $30 I'll buy new ones.
My first time replacing valve it was on GM V6 3.6 because timing chain was scratch and bent the valves. I replaced them and engine runs good. You only need time and patience. You need PerMatex Valve Grinding Compound, small hose go over valve steam, drill help seat the valve.
