Good work, looking forward to the build. Im about to park my tibby. It has 206k on the engine but is still running strong. I know it fwd but i want to boost it. Im going to have to do this kind of work and your videos help. When I start the work I will leave you a comment.
This video will be good for anyone who searches in the future. Unfortunately a year ago when I had to take the heads off my tiburon to change the valves I didn’t have a video to watch for any help on them. So it will be good for anyone in the future needs. Also for anyone who watches this the bolts for the cam caps snap very easy. Had a hard time finding replacements for them but got lucky and a buddy had some. So anyone who dose this use care.
That reason I make videos for Tiburon community because there none. You broke your bolt I thought would strip first then break. Why you need Change your valves I'm just wondering.
@@Lilmiddwest lol I broke 4. 2 removing them and 2 cams went back in. Bought the car with 140k ordered new gates timing belt kit. Came in mail decided to change it when I got home from work. Went 2 miles down road and snapped old timing belt on my way there. I was pi**ed. So had to tear it down and only bend the valves was so glad I didn’t destroy the piston heads. How did you pull the engine out?from the top or bottom?I got a 4wd tucson 06 with the 2.7 in it that blew heads gasket and I'm thinking about just rebuilding it .anybody?thanks
Quite nice! What do you think about it? Seems like a well engineered unit. I'm planning to get my hands on a Hyundai Coupe with the 2.7L V6 after I finally get my license.

Are the head bolts torque to yield? I just did a head swap 500 miles ago (new head bolts after I stupidly let the belt snap) and I think I didn't torque a cam bolt completely tight. I'm assuming it slipped timing because of my mistake (couldn't spin the engine by hand, but once i removed the heads, its easy to spin it over). The hyundia 2.7 is a delta engine , that's pretty much indestructible if they're left in stock normally aspirated form .
