- #HubbellPartner - I’m genuinely a huge fan of Hubbell’s new EdgeConnect receptacles.Where terminations on standard receptacles will loosen overtime when subjected to vibrations, these will actually tighten, ultimately holding up to 60% tighter. They’re quick and easy to install, which will save you time and money. And they are very safe, as there are no exposed terminations.

At $11 a piece, it's hard justifying the cost
Right the good old fashion screw on the side is still my go too. Just tighten the screw up nicely lol
good products are rarely cheap
@@lilmaimaiexpensive doesn’t always mean good… they just want their money back from R&D
Leviton edge
I just got a 10 pack of the Leviton edge for $24 I love ‘em. What do y’all think about ‘em.
Also I think you went to the Neca 2023 convention in Philly? You were the reason I chose to go Union and start my Electircal Journey all over And though im still 1st year from what i hear it's the best decision ive ever made ❤!!!
That’s what they said about back stabbed receptical’s , yeah I remember.
I will not use these.. but hey I’m old nd I’ll still strip , turn , nd screw my conductor’s down.
Good luck. 👍
As soon as the yanks get dragged into the 21st century, you’ll have to use them.
Unless you inspecting every connection and talking it down exactly to a specified rating, you are likely going to have more deviation in connection quality than something like this. The US is one of the only countries who has not been using push connections.
Bet they are costly as hell to. Be cool to see a pull/ weight test on these compared to the backstabbing receps. Not only that you should make a video on it torn apart, that would be cool.
Good for homeowners !
Thanks for showing these. Saw these on Dustins channel Electricians U, but he doesn't really explain it in a way i understood it. ❤😊
That’s because he sucks at showing or explaining stuff. He just goes over sponsored stuff quickly and that’s it.
@@FishFind3000 Ye true 100% agree feel like he's like that now maybe the money changed him.
If wago made a receptacle device or had someone who could think ... "inside" ... the box😮
Can you remove the wires easily after they’ve been in?
EVERY THING WORKS GREAT. TILL IT DONT
This is true ⚡️
WRAP ER AROUND AND TIGHTEN ER DOWN
Screws also loosen over time with vibrations
Levington came out with their own version. I still don't trust using that method the scrub terminal is still way safer and its way cheaper
Leviton has had a very similar product for years
Couldn't use them here. Inspector didn't like them. Same as Wago connectors.
New here, im wary trusting someone with "Troll" on the sweater
And at 25 dollars a device they’re a real bargain 😂
I rather wait a 5-10 years period to see if it really works as advertised
A new way to start a fire?
In germany, thats official standard since 30 years +
Are they 5 dollars each?.
The cost is what makes the US a little slow to catch up. Our normal outlet cost maybe a dollar each.
This product is designed for builder's convenience so homeowner or property manager won't pay double for it
GFCI receptacle has its own reason cost triple while this one doesn't
Exactly the market for these won't pay extra, electricians can bill hourly and materials are a client expense
Laughs in Australian 😂
If you’re losing money on the time it takes to install an outlet, you’re doing it wrong.
Go paint a house.
You obviously aren't a service electrician. Otherwise you never would have made this video.
Looks like an outlet had a baby with a wago,That's a hard pass!!
Fire starter!
This isn’t the same “technology” as back stabs. (which I’d never use). Much better design and most definitely not a fire starter.
@@MadElectricianThese are too new for you to have any evidence they won't become an issue in the future.
Its not worth is Edge outlets cost 12$ and regular ones cost 60 cents à piece
Still have the issue all back stabs suffer from and thats poor connection. Which means lost efficiency through thermal waste. Who cares if it doesnt back out if the wore still has poor connection.
People trying to reinvent the wheel. Stick to gd hooks screws.
Or u could just put a fat log fire starter in the outlet
This isn’t the same technology that back stabs use. I wouldn’t ever use a back stab. This on the other hand is solid.
Trying to reinvent the wheel actually just created more E-Waste GG Hubbell 🤡
They aint slick. You need to get out more...
Neat more trash for DIYers and hacks
Made in China and UL
these start fires. no thanks.
Junk
the wago ones are cheaper
