-You can call Jimin Mochi. You do whatever you guys feel like
-Up to like a June 2022 (we call chapter 1 and BTS) they did not do full solo concerts. This is a BTS concert but the members performed solo performances or sub units during the concert. However at Lalapalooza this year Hobi became the first BTS member to perform a full solo concert. Hobi also became the first Korean headline an American concert like that. Their are chances that Chapter 2 other members will do full solo concerts but we shall see.

You can see Hobi's concert - it's available on the BangtanTV UA-cam channel in its entirety. I was there and it was AMAZING. One of the best concerts I've ever been to, and I've seen a lot of concerts. Hobi did songs from his first mixtape, Hope World, and from his new solo album, Jack in the Box, as well as a few surprises. I can't wait to watch you guys react to that concert.

Jimin can do everything. Contemporary, hip-hop everything and even if he isn't in the centre he is giving his best. His solo performances are just other worldly You won't catch him slipping. Except when he isn't dancing he is clumsiest.

I definitely agree with Jimin having a contagious smile! Just some quick information, Jimin is widely regarded as Korea's It Boy, mostly because of him constantly ranking 1st in Brand Reputation Rankings, which measure idols' popularity in Korea through their brand power. Another interesting fact about Jimin is that aside from being the top student in his school for dance and having a blackbelt in Taekwondo (+plus training in other martial arts), he also excels in other sports too, being a member of his school's football club, billiard's club, and track. Not to mention he is class president for 9 years.
Thank you. I think many people overlook those facts. Jimin worked so hard during his school years, all while being a top student academically. And that commitment, dedication and, insane work ethic continued over into his professional life. He has always been incredibly driven and puts his all into everything he does.💜
We talk about Namjoon being a genius - and he definitely has the highest IQ - but tend to forget that several of the others (Jimin and Tae immediately spring to mind, though they are not the only ones) have fairly high IQs as well. Certainly higher than average. They just tend to express their intelligence in different ways 💜
The Brand ranking is not a good metric as it relies on fan votes more than actual demand from brands and the company running it is aligned with the right wing political parties in South Korea. Because of this people from certain areas of South Korea are discriminated against in their rankings. Solos use things like brand rankings for fanwars within groups and with other groups.

As I said it is used for fanwars, and pushed by certain companies (who have business relationships with the creators of that brand reputation company). Are you voting right now on idolplus and for the AMAs? That's more valuable to the members. The speeches from TMA recently showed how much love they felt. The members have never posted anything about that brand reputation. It's just a bragging right for fans that is empty.

Throughout some of their albums each member has a solo song. Ex: each member had a solo song in the wings albums, each member had a solo song in the love yourself triology, and each member had a solo song in the map of the soul albums. At the concerts for these albums, each member will perform their own song at each concert. For example, this is Jimins solo song from the love yourself series. He performed this song at each concert for the love yourself tour. Each other member performed their songs at every concert as well. Hope that helped💜💜💜

I think a lot of people here have answered your questions so I just wanna say that I hope you will all react to each of the members solo performance?? :D I think it's worth to checks how even though they're a group, each of them do really well on their "own". Like they all have different colors to them and different messages in their songs that most of the times are very personal to them. The reason why BTS is such an interesting group for one to follow their career is because not only they improve musically as a group but also as individual artist. THERE ARE SO MUCH to them that you'll never exactly ran out of things to love and scream about lol

This is PERFECTION right there. JIMIN's live performances are the most overly choreography heavy. Interestingly, his solos are way different to each other. My favourite solo bts song and Jimin's song is LIE. Please react to Lie and Filter too on his birthday day. Park Jimin is perfection 🔥

To answer your question - Yes they all do their solo performances at the concerts. They'll perform 3-4 group songs then 2 members do their solo performances then more group songs then solos and so on. Their recent concerts were NO solo songs it was PTD (Permission to dance) and since it was their last tour for a while they wanted it to focus on all 7 of them only

I also immediately thought that it was going to be Serendipity watching the teaser. Everybody was writing in the comments that it was going to be the performance for the MMA 2019, so I discredited my intuition. But I was so surprised when I received the notification and saw that I was right all along. When they were talking about smiling, charisma, the "he knows what he's doing", sweet high voice, I just knew...

So glad you enjoyed Serendipity! Jimin is just a beautiful person, inside and out. He is so caring, and is the first one to reach out to other members who might be having a bad day, just to make them feel better. He is beyond talented, both in dancing and singing. (Happy early Birthday Jimin!) And then there is that smile...just incredible. What a cutie pie! If you want something more sensual from Jimin, check out Filter. I also love Moon by Jin = it's a great tune. Jungkook's Euphoria is really awesome. Trivia: Seesaw by Suga is also great. JHope's Hope World is awesome, RM's Bicycle, and V's Christmas Tree are some great solo numbers. Each member has such incredible talent on their own. I read/heard somewhere along my BTS journey that members practice singing while running on the treadmill to build up their stamina so that they can dance and sing simultaneously without sounding winded. Unbelievable work ethic these guys have... Another piece of info on Jimin = I was lucky enough to see BTS last Dec in LA in concert at SoFi Stadium. At one point in the concert, the guys are pushed through the audience while on big carts to get closer to their fans. The carts went right in front of our seats, and Jimin was in the front of the cart looking out at the fans and smiling. He really is that beautiful in person...💟💜💟

As you mentioned - singing while dancing is super hard, but the boys used to train by singing and running on a treadmill. Great stamina builder. Look forward to seeing what you watch next. I hope you check out all of the members solo songs, they are all amazing. For a unit song with a nice jazz/R&B vibe, I suggest House of Cards. It is a vocal line song - so Jin, Jimin, V and JK. they don’t have full on solo concerts but they do have solo performances. the only person who’s had a kind of solo concert is jhope w lollapalooza but otherwise, they often have solo performances or subunit performances (vocal line/rap line) to let the other members rest and take a breath in between songs😄😄💜💜

This choreography is one of the most covered in kpop, lol. Jimin's dancing is truly mesmerizing. Actually many rookie idols cover Jimin's Serendipity and Lie. The funny thing is very, very few rookie idols who attempted to sing while dancing Jimin's song, haha. Usually they do dance choreography only, especially Jimin's Lie because it's a really challenging choreo. Jimin's also known as Rookie's Bible because of this. Also Idol of Idols because many idols especially the younger generation name him as their role model

They probably are gonna react to each member but from the title it says Jimin week pt 1, so they’ll probably post again on his birthday and then maybe next week switch to another member?
I scrolled through the comments and didn't see where anyone explained why Jimin is singing solo. BTS concerts are 3 hours long and do not have opening acts (I don't think Kpop groups have opening acts at their concerts.). The group, as you know consists of 7 members that break into a rap unit - RM, SUGA, and Jhope and into a vocal unit - Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. During their concerts they have whole group performance,s and they go all out, hard. Then the units, perform, and then each member has a solo performance not necessarily in that order. But they do this so that members can take a breather and re-energize, but also to showcase the rap line with strictly rap songs and the vocal line with powerful ballads, and then individually showcase each members talents. Some of the solos are showcases like with J-hope and Jimim performing a special dance number. It just depends on how they and their team managers decide what they want to do for a particular concert.
Jimin is a sweetheart, but also knows he is cute and uses that cuteness and sweetness to hook people in (sometimes subconsciously and sometimes unconsciously.) Even men just immediately like Jimin and want to be his friend. You've seen it called "The Jimin Effect" in other comments. Jimin is most definately cutey, sexy, lovely and a sweet guy. He recently added sweet guy. LOL He never calls him self handsome because he doesn't see himself that way in comparison to some of his members or other male Kpop artists. But I've always thought Jimin was handsome. Jimin is my "bias wrecker." Jungkook is my bias. But they are all likeable, loveable, and adorable in different ways. If you don't know what a "bias wrecker" is let us know and will be happy to explain. 😁 Sidenote, Serendipity is my favorite Jimin solo. Thanks for watching this one!👍

Jimin is captivating and mesmerizing when he performs. They do solos between their group performances. Both Hobi and Jimin are amazing dancers with different styles. Jimin with his contemporary background is fluid in his dance lines and graceful. His dancing was the reason I got into BTS and went down that rabbit hole 💜 and of course that ethereal voice is always recognizable. 💜

They are all so vocally stable most especially Jungkook. You can't hear them catch their breaths during live performances. It's mind blowing!

Being a male Army, it's hard to have friends who love BTS the way I do, but with you guys I feel at home, laughing, and enjoying the music, and my man Danial you can sing if you want, even if you think it won't sound good, we would love that, because that shows how comfortable you are with us. yes he is singing live but he does have a backing track too which in this song is pretty strong. In BTS group songs each members part is 1/7 of the song so they can catch their breath in between and focus just on dancing. That's part of the secret behind ''how can they sing and dance at the same time'': yes it's high skill but it's also seven people performing one song lol. Having to do hard choreo while singing the song alone is another house number. So it's really impressive that he does not just lip sync but instead works with the backing track. BTS always place high value on actual live singing in contrast to other acts
(well the vocalists part is probably way more than 1/7 in group songs but you get the gist, it's never more than 1/4)

*** FYI: On BTS concerts, they would usually perform 8-12 group songs first, then each members would take turns & sing their own solo song from BTS newest album & Jimin’s beautiful ‘Serendipity’ performance is one of them.
And this performance was done at BTS Japan concert & most Japanese fans are bit different, more quiet, not overly expressive, not like the enthusiastic fans from rest of other countries & because of that reason, we could hear BTS’s singing & rapping more clearly & that is why many fans would recommend them for reaction video & that is why BTS Japan performance videos has higher number of views in Utube as well.
Up until now, each member has 3 solo songs that they all have performed at BTS concerts & non of BTS members has their solo concerts yet, except Jhope who has released his first full official solo album(But Jhope, RM & Suga has released 2 mixed tapes already) & last August, he has performed fantastic, energetic 1 hour mini solo concert at Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago.
And You guys are right that Jimin is the most artistic performer in BTS but also in whole Kpop industry. They started to have a solo song within the BTS albums in Wings. Each of them have a solo spot in the concert tour that supports the album. This is from their speak yourself tour. Usually in the tour they will mix in the solo performance with group performances...give everyone a chance to rest. I’m really enjoying the contrasting reactions of the wives with the cousins! The video of serendipity is really very sweet!

Yes, to this day, it still amazes us how they can sing and dance at the same time. But that’s thanks to the training they underwent before they debut. I think you’ll see in Rise of Bangtan Chapter 1 how intense it is in the Kpop Industry.
