wow! Thank you SO much, Building Bearded, for your truly helpful answers! your explanations and illustrations were thoughtful, clear, patient, and easy for a ''dragon heater'' newbie like me :) thank you again! and thanks too for the email offer. Also again, i do love your cool little candelabra 👌, maybe i'd like to commission one once i get my heater all figured out and set up (it arrived a couple of days ago!) 😃
Thanks so much for your a amazing videos I want to put Rocket heater in my kitchen and I don’t have chimney how can I do that? Is possible to make a hole in the wall to put the pipe from inside to outside for the draft? Thanks again for all details
Thanks for watching. Yes, you can put in through the wall with a kit. It’s a stainless “through the wall” kit. It will have an insulated spool piece that goes into the wall. The pipe would go inside that so that the heat doesn’t come in direct contact with the wall material. After that you run the chimney sections, usually triple walled stainless, up the side of your structure. They are available many places, but as always I would suggest a local store that can help you with the details. Good luck and God bless. Thanks for watching.
You can also remove a window glass pane and run the exhaust through 2 plywood wall peices where the pane was. Still need the spool piece thru the window space, though. ^^^ this keeps you from penetrating the wall.
Love the video man. Quick question. What did you put on your rocket heater where the outside air intake is? Looks like some kind of cover? I’m interested….
My apologies to everyone for the volume of this video when played back on a television. It is low and I realize that now after a helpful watcher let me know. I’ll attempt to fix it and definitely verify it’s correct in the future. Thanks again for watching.
It floats a little over the 400 degree mark. Right now, on Christmas Eve it’s 450 degrees three inches down the side from the top. Right in the center on the top it’s near 480. It’s been near zero outside. The house is 74. Merry Christmas! God bless.
@@Myneighborhoodsolution thank you. I contacted liberator and this was their response: I just thought of a quick and easy solve of a problem it may be. The pellet tube into the pellet hopper should be 19" from the collar on the pellet hopper This should leave something like 1/2"-3/4" of 'meat' for the set screw in the feed tube collar to hold on to. If yours is pushed all the way in, or is too far out, this could cause something like what you're describing. The distance is important because if it is pushed too far in, too many pellets can fall down on top of the burn grate and block the air, and choke the fire. If it is too far out, then you won't get enough pellets and will have other problems.
No sir I have not. It would be nearly impossible with the dimensions of the feed tube versus the size of the pellets. It’s a free fall to the burn cage. Thanks for watching.
If you had a background in welding and fabrication, absolutely. It’s a pretty straight forward design. You could scale it up or down as needed. Thanks for watching. Merry Christmas!
Wow you mean you actually built all of that with a beard??? That's incredibly astonishingly wonderful!!!!! You've a really cute beard by the way!!! Also I've got the volume turned all the way up and can barely hear you sweetheart just saying.
Yes. It’s another one of those things in life that isn’t for everyone. I’m sure you could find something that works for you and pleases your wife. Thanks for watching
@@Myneighborhoodsolution Youre design is incremental but not there yet. Again two things missing. It's gotta fit in an existing fireplace and show a fire.

Just a damper that closes the fresh air intake after I’m done burning so that the heat in the house isn’t drawn out of the house when I’m not burning.
Is that something I can buy somewhere?
Possibly link?

volume sounds great, here on UA-cam 👍
Ducting cold air as fire feed gives you 5-30% more heat inside your space. Dont loose your btu's to create fire
Ten four. Good info for viewers and readers. Thank you.
What kind of temps do you get at the top of your liberator typically when burning pellets.

Is that running wide opened or damped down,exhaust/intake
How long will a liberator last when a burn barrel is only good for 1 year of daily use. 🤔
Considerably thicker than a burn barrel. I think under normal use it should last indefinitely. Thanks for watching.
Ever have issues with smoke coming into the pellet hopper?
No sir. The draft keeps the smoker traveling through the stove not back into the hopper. Thanks for the question.

What about the part that looks like a grill?
Thats my heat battery. It stays hot long after the fire goes out. Thanks for watching.

If I told my wife I was going to put that in the living room she would freak. Needs fitting into room structure, and a visual fire.
