    Those Sylvania for the most part where very good vacuum and sounded to me very fine in HiFi use.

    By using hot air on the grill cloth, is it in effect expanding it then contracting back further than where it was when it cools?

      It works a bit like heatshrink. Like when you throw a plastic bag on the fire and it shrinks to a little ball.
