I run both. Gloves 3 to Core, Amulet +5 to core, Harlequin Crest +4 to all, and Starless Skies +4 to Core = 20/5 after adding the 5 skill points to each. Kapalrke converts all to basics. Basic damaage tempers and a Shroud of False Death for fun and +1 to all passives. Pit 101 so far with it
I’m in the same boat! I have both on my skill bar, mainly because the speed of the quills can help proc lucky hits and also keep enemies vulnerable while I also pound them with Crushing Hand. 😎👍🏽
Crushing seemed to be better defensively for me, but the amount of quills that hit a single enemy at any given time always managed to deal more overall DPS, even though the max hits were lower. It made it clear that Quill was better for overall damage and for bosses.
I'm having so much more fun running CH over QV. Doing 99% of content, i never need the extra damage from QV. For my builds, QV does 3-5x the damage, but CH simply moves faster. Also, i love vortex to pull everything in so i can hit them harder, and don't have to chase them down.
Hi @Megitsune33. They are very nearly the same build, so they are probably pretty similar in terms of difficulty to get going. For some people, you might find it a little easier to get started on crushing hand because it's a little tankier. There's a point as you're climbing up torment ranks where it feels like you're really squishy. A crushing hand build could make that slightly easier. In the end, when you have the gear for one of these overpower builds, you kind of have what you need for almost all of them. I'll think about also doing a video where I talk about the progression, and how you have a build that feels good while you're trying to gather up the stuff to play one of these builds in the end game.
@@BiglightGaming thank you for the response i just swapped over to crushing hands cuz i was noticing quill volley i was dying a lot but now i was able to get up to torment 4 with crushing hands it does seem a bit better.

is crushing hands easier to get going than quill volley or are they about the same?

@@Megitsune33 That's so awesome! I'm really glad this helped. You're on your way now!
Good video, just a comment to gain traffic and get recommended to more ppl.
Yes, mainly because you need much less barrier generation, which frees up gear/gem slots.
Your build is also wrong too, could be killing stuff a lot faster with crushing hand.
Hi, I just came back to D4 and want to try Crushing Hand. Whos build would you recommend i use?
@ I like goblin inc build for crushing hands
@@fluffy4149 Thanks mate
@@fluffy4149 did 145 with a friend with that build, not fully optimised yet though
