As much as I'd love another "Supernatural" length show for Lucifer, I also have faith in the writers. If they are happy with having the story they wanted to tell conclude in six seasons, I'll be satisfied. Having a planned end isn't always a bad thing.
As a writer, I found Ellis's description of building Michael's character surprisingly relevant to creating a character on the page. I especially liked the discussion on establishing his physicality. Excellent video.

The character of Michael was so interesting. The closed up body and the American accent and Michael was not the 'sexxy' that Lucifer was. It was brilliant!

I watched Miranda before watching Lucifer and when I realised he's Gary from Miranda, I was like "What????!?!" and I instantly binge-watched Lucifer. I love Miranda as much as I love Lucifer. Both are great shows that I enjoy very very much. Tom Ellis is truly an incredible actor.

Really really interesting, it was very nice to be able to 'enter' in Tom's creative and professional mechanism, thanks to his usual fluent and interesting way of speaking.. And I can totally relate to the Shoes Anecdote, since the first thing I notice and watch when I meet a person is their shoes..
It really was interesting, not many actors are able to explain the science behind the acting process. They usually get asked such silly generic questions. It certainly does helps that he can articulate himself very well.
One of the interesting details with Michael I noticed right off was how he holds glasses when he drinks. Lucifer often holds glasses from above or the side, while Michael grasps glasses from below. It is a very interesting detail.
before, the devil faces in tv and movies are just to scare us. now, even the actual devil would copy Tom Ellis because of envy he is getting all the girls / women / gay men because of how charming he is ( undeniably gorgeous ) and could really convince everyone he is Tom Ellis 😘😍 Tom Ellis, you kind of changed this biblical characters ( and dc comics as reference ) the other actors who played him is freaking scary, but you made him adorable that even his ( Luci ) origins were eerie.

If you can get hold of British shows, try looking up Miranda, a comedy show, he plays Miranda's on and off boyfriend and he is also in the last two episodes of series three of the new doctor Who.

He played the role of Michael well. I'm thinking Michael since doesn't age, will Michael end up with Trixie in the future? I'm thinking Trixie is Michael's gift from God. When Michael leaves hell after thousands of years of being there, he will see a grown up 40 year old Trixie on earth and fall in love with her. So Trixie will be the one to change Michael into a good person. And she will fall in love with Michael too. Maybe this will be in a Lucifer spin-off series? 🤔

I didn't get the show at first, but I watched more episodes with my partner, Jenni and I was drawn in by Tom Ellis, he really is perfect for this role. I have to give credit to the writers as well. I'm not a professional writer, but when I can get into their minds and predict the shows moments, I know they are making the right choices. Now don't get me wrong, they've created some moments early on that I couldn't possibly see coming (like the very first time he meets his "dad" after all those centuries). I had no idea Tom has three daughters! No wonder he's so normal around Trixie. He's probably been enjoying his greatest role yet...being a great father and husband.

I loved the beginning of one of the episodes in Season 5 where he kidnaps this doctor to get rid of his demonic looking wings and asks him if he can remove those warts from his back or if he can tattoo them to make them look better. When the doctor looks puzzled he shows his visual aid of what a 5-year old would draw and I just cracked up so hard and spat my tea all over myself literally. I LOVED that transition from a very serious looking scene to a very funny scene :) Love the sense of humor Tom is bringing to the table with his incredible acting...

And I can totally relate to the Shoes Anecdote, since the first thing I notice and watch when I meet a person is their shoes..
It really was interesting, not many actors are able to explain the science behind the acting process. They usually get asked such silly generic questions. It certainly does helps that he can articulate himself very well.

Just finished S5.Pt1 last night and adore him personally and professionally.
One of the interesting details with Michael I noticed right off was how he holds glasses when he drinks. Lucifer often holds glasses from above or the side, while Michael grasps glasses from below. It is a very interesting detail.

Tom Ellis, you kind of changed this biblical characters ( and dc comics as reference ) the other actors who played him is freaking scary, but you made him adorable that even his ( Luci ) origins were eerie.

Awesome interview! Tom is such a great actor, and you really can see how passionate about the craft of acting he is! And it shows through jis work, especially in season 5! I found myself completely forgetting that Lucifer and Michael were played by the same person, cuz they were just so different that my mind was totslly convinced they were 2 different people! Awesome job Tom!

Having watched "Lucifer" I got to watch "Miranda" and I must say, I love it! Could anyone doing interview with Mr Ellis please ask him, which character: Gary or Lucifer does he identify with more? Or has this question already been asked somewhere?
I went back and watched Miranda too and loved it! I’d recommend Monday Monday too. Not as good as Miranda but fun to see Tom young and with his curls!

If you can get hold of British shows, try looking up Miranda, a comedy show, he plays Miranda's on and off boyfriend and he is also in the last two episodes of series three of the new doctor Who.

I love how Tom Ellis is so humble and gives so much credit to others, like his acting double and the tech / special effects people and his various directors and fellow actors.
He is one of the best actors I have ever seen. The way he is showing his emotions and feeling through gestures and through his eyes in this series of Lucifer is spectacular.

I'm thinking Michael since doesn't age, will Michael end up with Trixie in the future? I'm thinking Trixie is Michael's gift from God. When Michael leaves hell after thousands of years of being there, he will see a grown up 40 year old Trixie on earth and fall in love with her. So Trixie will be the one to change Michael into a good person. And she will fall in love with Michael too. Maybe this will be in a Lucifer spin-off series? 🤔

I didn't get the show at first, but I watched more episodes with my partner, Jenni and I was drawn in by Tom Ellis, he really is perfect for this role. I have to give credit to the writers as well. I'm not a professional writer, but when I can get into their minds and predict the shows moments, I know they are making the right choices.
Now don't get me wrong, they've created some moments early on that I couldn't possibly see coming (like the very first time he meets his "dad" after all those centuries).
I had no idea Tom has three daughters! No wonder he's so normal around Trixie. He's probably been enjoying his greatest role yet...being a great father and husband.

I loved the beginning of one of the episodes in Season 5 where he kidnaps this doctor to get rid of his demonic looking wings and asks him if he can remove those warts from his back or if he can tattoo them to make them look better. When the doctor looks puzzled he shows his visual aid of what a 5-year old would draw and I just cracked up so hard and spat my tea all over myself literally. I LOVED that transition from a very serious looking scene to a very funny scene :) Love the sense of humor Tom is bringing to the table with his incredible acting...
