For some reason I forgot SAN MARINO! There goes my explanation: In Italian, the term "San Marino" refers to the (potentially mythical) stonemason named Saint Marinus, who sought refuge from Roman persecution by fleeing his home on the island of Arbe in modern-day Croatia to Mount Titano in the region around the year 301 or 305.

Very disappointed that you didn't explain the native name of Germany! With all previous countries you did. But not with Germany! WHY???

I didn't expalin Germany because the origin is uncertain. Since im replying, i just found that it could be related to the Celtic "gair", meaning "neighbor"; "gairm", meaning "battle-cry"; or "gar", meaning "to shout". But very few sources give an actual explanation, without any referrence. My apologies!

@@HideInKilimanjaro79 Ger is the ancient germanic word for spear.
But that is not what I meant.
I asked why not explain where the native name Deutschland comes from?

@@ralfhtg1056 Oh, i apologize for that. I just want you to understand it is not my goal to offend some countries🤣. I tried my best with my research. I have done some quick research towards the word Deutschland. It means "The people's land", from Old high German "diutisciu land". I hope that helped!👍

@@HideInKilimanjaro79 No worries! I took no offense. When I watched the video I was impressed when you walked the extra mile (or km?) to indulge into the native name of many countries, like Austria or Albania. And when it came to Germany I was like "erm... what? He explained it for other countries for the name used in english plus the native name, but not for Germany?" If you would have limited your explanation to the english names only, I would most likely not have commented at all.
But kudos to all the effort you put in there!
