Most of these beats i made over ten yrs ago yet my last upload and future vids sound the same in the sense the producer kept his sound and never strayed from that 'Wu shit ".Why was rza only able to keep the clan afloat with that golden wu sound for 5ish yrs then lost it ? Yes he evolved and changed his equipment but when his team is saying wtf on forever ( too clean ,only a few signature rza sampling ).He created a sound that cemented them forever yet lost it as fast as they blew up imo .
By 2000 i felt that classic rza sound that made the clan was long gone so i started to really listen\study his technique and sound .I started to make a few remixes with other producers instrumentals and wu accapella"s and around 2008ish i started making my own beats .I have never lost my spark or urge to make that shaolin shit ! Never going to stop .
I dream is to get a wu member to hear my sound and maybe bless a beat .I would love to share with the rza with high hopes of him going back to the golden wu sound and let me become a listener again .Dont get me wrong the clan has always been on fire but without rza keeping it rugged it has not been the same .In closing i miss that old wu shit ..Peace... rip odb , poetic, popa wu
Wow that is so inspiring. I am sure that Wu tang members have heard your stuff.I have been following you for about 5 years now. No one compares to RZA and when Wu Tang Forever came out it was a different sound but that what happoens when we evolve. RZA has produced the beats for Gravediggahz, Sunz of Man, Killarmy and for many of the solo albums of various members of wu tang. That signature RZA beat I call the RZA heartbeat. RZA still got it but I do love that old wu shit and many of the radio show freestyles are great. Shaolin runnin this shit!

Exactly! I feel the same way about his sonic evolution as a producer. I remember being confused when bobby digital dropped and hes talking shit about "mfs still looping breakbeats and shit". Like wtf man.haha. His early work took those machines and the genre into a new lvl, its painful he abandoned the grit as he got better gear. You could never expect a genius to stagnate on one thing though. As fans we have an insatiable appetite for more of what we want. Good thing so much dropped during that era.

That Wu sound changed my life when I first heard it from NY back in like 92-93. And it keep getting grittier until about like what 97-99 it disappeared. I always thought it would come back with the Cure or something but that never happened. I just gave up on hope years ago and that hardened my heart.
