May the Lord continues to bless Pastor John because for years I followed false teachers and but I knew something was odd, I found the truth about our Lord through Pastor John, Pastor Vodie, Justin Peters, Paul Washer..these men have refocused my life and everything that I believed it was the truth. Now I see, before I was blinded, and now I see.

Praying has always being so difficult for me. It was holding me back, last night said a short prayer that I needed to change. Now I found this sound, biblical teaching! Glory to God!!!
MICHAEL Mullan - Brother - Praying has been hard for me, too.... probably for everyone, I would imagine. He already knows what is on your heart and mind, before you begin your prayer. So.... Begin with "Holy Father".... thank Him for the blessings He has given you, ask Him to forgive the sins you have done (there will always be some) then.... just talk to Him..... like you would your earthly father. He will listen to a sincere prayer or sincere conversation. Always end "In Jesus' name", Amen. The prayer can be short, long, or anywhere in between. Sometimes the pain or fear is so sudden or overwhelming that going straight to the point ..."Holy Father help me"...... "Jesus Help Me" is all that might be needed. He is your father, THE Father. You are His son..... talk, just talk to Him. Blessings, Bro!

Good sermon overall but i observed how his calvinistic perspective caused him to replace the word "all" with the word "choosen"" when referencing those who God wants to be saved. Its still mind boggling to understand why a Pastor of his stature believes that God can determine from eternity past to send most of his creation to hell and still be a just God and sit in the seat of judgement of the whole world. Paul in Romans ask the question: Is there unrighteousness with God?. With the God of calvinism most definitely.
I ask the Lord to teach me how to pray in every circumstance that I need. He tells me how to pray every time according to the situation. He knows what's behind every struggle. He is the Head and has intelligence! He know how to bring down any attack. We need to persevere having intimate communication with our Lord and Father. He is the way and He is ALIVE! How can we function properly as a body if we don't ask Him? Just reading the Scriptures is not enough. Remember Ananias when the Lord sent him to pray for Saul!

How Should We Pray?
No matter where we are, whether we stand or kneel, whether we pray vocally or silently, whether we pray privately or in behalf of a group, we should always pray in faith, “with a sincere heart, with real intent”
As we pray to our Heavenly Father, we should tell Him what we really feel in our hearts, confide in Him, ask Him for forgiveness, plead with Him, thank Him, express our love for Him. We should not repeat meaningless words and phrases (see Matthew 6:7-8). We should always ask that His will be done, remembering that what we desire may not be best for us.
At the end of our prayer, we close in the name of Jesus Christ

I pray the Lord's Prayer every day I start my praise and prayer time in the morning before anything. It puts EVERYTHING into perspective. Number one He is Sovereign. Whatever He says goes....period.
If "sovereignty" is the number one attribute of God that "puts everything into perspective" why is the word "sovereignty" (as Calvinists define it) not used in scripture? God's omnipotence is written about but omnipotence is not sovereignty.

And Jesus didn't stop in his answering the question how we should pray. He went on, giving more than what we know as The Lord's Prayer.

Met Jim Bowers years ago at a church in Michigan. He was there with his son Cory at the time. He spoke and then played "Give me Jesus". Certainly God used this senseless loss for His glory and these two angels are in Heaven. I just wish we knew all the people that were touched by their life and testimony in their passing.

I also can’t pray long prayers as others can do, but what I’ve decided to do, just simply talk to Jesus as often as I can, few words, like: thank you Jesus for …(name it: coming home safely, for strength to accomplish…etc),or Jesus , you know I struggle with…etc.

This pastor is confused with works. Throughout Pauls teachings he is speaking to the new churches that just started after Christ was crucified. So the early churches were all converted jews, this is why Paul in his teachings, Romans 6 in particular, Paul's salutation begins "to those familiar with the LAW. Hes speaking to the new convert Christians who are falling back to works of the law of Moses, or all of the manmade rituals, and not relying on faith in Christ "exclusively" by following Jesus's teachings of righteous works/deeds/actions ONLY... Jesus said, John 4:15 - “If you love me, keep my commands." But this pastor does not teach that. He teaches you can keep sinning and you only lose a reward. The following are the rewards this pastor is referring to. Now keep in mind, these are Christians Jesus is speaking with......
Matt 25:26-30 - the servant didnt use his talent and was cast into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matt 25:10 - Jesus to the bridesmaids at the wedding feast, "I do not know you." John 15:2 - Any of my children who do not bear fruit, they are thrown away like a branch and burned up, (cut out of the vine). Matt 24:45 - to the pastor not guiding the flock correctly, "I will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites". Jesus said we can lose our salvation, Revelation 3:11. " "Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown."
The biggest problem is many pastors do not understand there are 3 possible destinations when we die. (1) Blotted out of the book of life Genesis 6, (2) saved directly into the Kingdom of God into the Priesthood, (3) or the saved elect placed in the 1000 Year Millennium with all nations including the disobedient Christians who will be taught by Gods Priesthood to get cleaned up for the Kingdom Age after they are tested one final time when satan is released from the pit just before he gets cast into the lake of fire.....
Revelation 20:6
6 Blessed and holy is (the very few in the narrow path) that hath part in the FIRST resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, BUT THEY SHALL BE PRIESTS of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."
Reign who? The disobedient placed in the Millennium.
We are not "saved" until Christ returns....and then at that point, its all about where you will be saved to......
Matthew 24:13
"13 But he that shall endure UNTO THE END, the same shall be saved." Therefore, if you are not saved unto the end based on your faith by actions, you are not saved. What do you think the judgment is for. To see where Christ will place everyone. So mostly everyone is saved, just where is the question.

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it."
Paul says only the Sanctified will enter Gods Priesthood in his Kingdom in Zion. The problem is most Christians are not sanctified. They dont pray daily. They dont talk about God daily. They dont set their minds on things above daily. They dont present their bodies a living sacrifice to God daily. They dont carry their cross after the master daily.
Paul said in Romans 2 that EVERY man who is in pursuit of righteous ways by nature although they may have never heard of Jesus will receive immorality. But most pastors teach if you dont profess Jesus specifically, even though uou may have never heard of Jesus, they go to hell. Does that sound like a loving God? A God that you would be proud of? This is Paul telling Christians that people who dont know God and pursue good righteous works by nature are in better standing then the lukewarm Christians who get vomitted out of Gods mouth......
Romans 2:13-16
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the DOERS of the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles (dont know Christ), which have NOT the law, DO BY NATURE the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, ARE a law unto themselves (they are in good standing with Gods law):
15 Which shew the work of the law in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."
This is why once saved always saved teachers teach no obedience because they know everyone sins and cannot justify how we are saved into "heaven", when in fact, we are basically all saved, but either into the Millennium where most everyone is going or the exclusive Priesthood of God, the few who follow Jesus's ways on earth by their righteous works and not simply with their mouth....
