I have these head phones, I use them as my workout headphones, they are great for that, but if they had 2 more clicks of volume these would be perfect. In short, great for quiet to low noise from outside but only good when your mowing the lawn and loud outside noises.
Just bought brand new on EbayUK. for £46!!!! A bit heavier than I'm used to. Good at cutting out domestic noise ( dog barking, wife yakking, hairdryer, TV etc!!) Looking forward to a peaceful flight on holiday! Sound wise , for me I could do with clearer highs. The bass is, well, enough.
The sound quality is indeed very good. However, being a basshead (& being used to Sony's Xtra Bass headsets XB950N1), I would love to have even more bass. Also, the headphone size runs big, coz with my head being S size, this headphone slides down whenever I look down; no problem with my XB950 though.
First i got AKG Y50 and those were really nice. Tight fit and didnt fall off my head even i was working in different positions. Then I got Y50bt and i was disappointed. Y50bt is so much heavier and the band isnt as tight as Y50. Y50bt falls off all the time when i tint my head, but Y50 doesnt.
Of course the bluetooth ones are heavier! The battery is giant! They work for days on just one charge! :D I have a tiny head too, but i anchor the headphones under my hairbun xD
They are the best. Period. I have used them for five years almost daily and the battery still lasts for days. And they charge easily from a battery pack on the go. Best part is that they muffle outside noices just the perfect amount.
I bought the exact headphones in blue for my baby brother and this video really helped because I couldn't figure out what button to press to connect to the tablet but thanks to this video it has worked and I actually listened to you talking with them on. Great 👍Thanks.
Can you PLEASE compare AKG Y50BT with AKG N60. i heard $300 bucks worth akg n60 headsets are loose and easy to fell off when you bend down to left something
hard to avoid with on ear earphones I guess.. the recording of the output actually sounds decent in the recording.. which is surprising .. cadeau to your mike :-)
great sound, but mine broke after a week :( the right earphone detached and the loose piece inside hit some components that stopped the left driver working.) It only got pulled by my coat, nothing very shocking.
Sorry for being pretty late to the video, but how do you adjust them? Is there something you have to do? Mine don't adjust the size when I pull on them to make them larger.
I don't know how to turn them off, because my brother gave them to me after he got AirPods. He had lost the manual, so I don't know how you could turn it on and off. I might try asking him, but if anyone could tell me how I could turn them off, it would help a ton!
i have had 2 pairs of the Y45BT and the sound is great in bluetooth mode and its nice and loud. but the way these headphones are made is shit. thats why ive had 2 pairs. the stitching or glue on the ear cups comes apart after so long. my first pair akg told me to send back to distributor as it was under a year. the second pair lasted me a bit longer but still happened within a year and i didnt bother taking them back to the distributor. now im skeptical about getting the y50bt, theres a few comments below saying there y50bt headset broke. basically because of the poor design. but the sound out of these headphones is good. also if i was to upgrade to the y50bt then i would be losing less impedance bass and other shit compared to the y45bt. i wish pioneer did a nice small on ear bluetooth headset that was good quality and price.
Hmm. Just got the Y50 non-bluetooth version of these headphones. Really wanted wired ones as I'm going to mainly be using them with my main hi-fi (which only has Bluetooth in, not out). Didn't realise the Bluetooth versions also included an audio cable, thought they were Bluetooth only. Annoying as having both wired & Bluetooth connections would have been great. Bah! Still, the Y50 phones do sound pretty good once they've been run in a little.
I love my y50bt, amazing sound for the price. I got them used on ebay for far less than the prices you quoted.

They actually last about a full 24 hours
