      Would imagine downunder quite practical and if you doing a really long trek add some extra fuel tanks. Thats prob a good 350/400 miles if you chugging at 60 ish...

    I literally just bought the Himalayan and rode it home today! It's a fun bike! It's going to take me a little getting used to, but I bought it for Vermont dirt road riding. Also female, a bit shorter than you and it's SO comfortable and manageable!

      Hows it going so far on the bike? Any engine lights coming on or anything misaligning itself on the dashboard> engine is probable good but how is everything else?

    Nice review....when I ride my 411, the bike appears to give you such a comforting ride....its an unbelievably soft and safe experience. Like Mum's lap 😁. the servicing costs here in India @10 Eur/GBP plus cost of spares is astonishinhly low.

    I loved your review because I have exactly the same bike, same colour, and have came to the same conclusions you have.
    I have a couple of sports bikes in the garage, but love the character of the Himalayan and the thump of the single cylinder. It's a great bike for riding alone and enjoying the scenery, but the weather is definitely a nuisance as the bike gets filthy every time on the wet and mucky roads, but at least my expensive sports bikes aren't subjected to that and the Himalayan is so much easier to clean.

    • @Sunz-me5mo
      @Sunz-me5mo 6 місяців тому

      If you love the character of the Himmy thumper, what are the sports bikes doing in that garage? LOL. Make up your mind. You either love the slow and inexpensive Himmy or you love your expensive sports bikes. Which is it?

    • @Apollo949
      @Apollo949 6 місяців тому

      @@Sunz-me5mo I don't need to justify myself to a creep so do one. The Himalayan is an off-road bike. I'm not going to take a £15,000 sports bike on a dirt track.

    Hello from France ( Brive la Gaillarde, ... as always)
    I thank you a lot for this review, and for me, who hate adventure bike , it' s a real discovery , thanks to you
    But this bike ( simple, reliable, light weight, mono cylinder, with off road capacities) remind me the bike invented in the beginning of the 80's.
    We don't talk about " Adventure bike" at this time, but we called it... the " Trail" ( So, the Yamaha XT 500 or 600, the ténéré, the Honda XR, and so on...)
    And finally, the Himalayan, is like this sort of bike , who were capable to do ...everything on road or off road, because there performs were very homogenous in all the department of riding,
    History is always restarting , no ?
    Have a nice evening,
    Ride safe
    John Christopher

      @@tomboyabit My 2008 Buell Ulysess cost me $4,500.00 it had 14,000 miles on it. It came with side cases and a Top case too. I spent $700.00 on a new rear wheel ..that has 3 larger bearings instead of two small wheel bearings. I paid $245.00 for a new LED Headlight shipped from Italy,, I had to replace both tires .. Oil changes ect .. Oh and $250.00 for a better and adjustable windscreen set up .
      I'm not into riding motorcycles with forward control pegs or no rear suspension either. I really don't know why anyone would ride a Chopper or a Bobber. I guess if you want to have spine pains, go for it .

    golden lesson learnt on my himalayan when i have to pull it back if im stuck is
    step 1: hold the front brake and push the bike down (front)
    step 2: when the suspension pushes back (at the same time) release the brake. This gets the bike moving a bit more faster.

    Tomboy
    Another wonderful review from you. Your Mud pedaling part was Epic! Love it because you show reality not hype. That is Real World stuff. Just like you mentioned, the Himalayan is a quirky and very "Niche" bike. The beauty about it is, it can do just about anything without killing you weight and sizewise. I agree, at first the display looks confusing but you quickly start to like it after a while. Weird! The 2024 is so far away from the previous generation on just about everything especially power. Now it is much more streetable. And it is more off road capable. I rode one in some gnarly single track muddy places and it just motored right through. The nice thing was the weight that gave me more confidence than on bigger ADV bikes where you have to worry about dropping the bike. and picking it up. The Himalayan was like a toy that loved being thrashed! Amazing bike. I can't wait for your next video. I Love your channel Lady! 👍👍
    Ride SAFE and BE safe! 🌹

Not very powerful (or may be enough?) and I'm worry about the brakes.Riding position would be important( 1'86 cm ,240 pounds,had a hip replacement ,must be careful with my knees also).I'm trying to find a Hymalayan near here to try,but is not easy,some dealers just have the new one, which personally don't think is the same.I watched all your Hymalayan videos and are very useful,but still can't decide 🤦🏻
