Came from your DoorDash video and I'm hooked! I have an insane amount of respect for the time that goes into your editing and all the small things you do for your content that really add up. You are going to be huge one day man!

I like how he doesn’t give up I would’ve gave up half way
I'd think of it as a project that needs be done so I can get cash for a burger or something.

There's no reason to give up. Logic and other people's proven designs both say it should work. If you know something should work then you don't give up until you figure it out.

As a Fishkeeper you just saved me from drinking many more gallons of fish water
You just fill the hard plastic part with water, raise it above the edge of the tank until water goes through hose, refill hard plastic part with water and it'll start the siphon. Easy.
Lol

That thread is for threaded pipe like threaded pvc, not “flexy hose,” but if it works, it works. Prolly wouldn’t hold an pressure though. Pvc is also made to be glued, if you needed it to hold much anything you have to glue it.
So many dads are furious that he used duck tape on pvc pipe where tf was this mans dad when he needed him
he left him to get milk
As a tradesmen I'm over here like "bro just go get some pvc glue and cake that up. "
Like he had to pass by a the primer and glue bottles of he went through the PVC aisle.

Great Stuff!! Aside from the sealing of leaks, the reason you pipe worked when it was shorter was related to 2 things. First is the inertia of the water moving down the first leg, it's kind of a balancing act to get enough downward force to push back up the pipe towards the drain. and second, is the angles. Your pipes with the clear tubes made essentially right angles which reduces speed and requires more force directly against gravity to come back up. This is why the smaller straw ones work as they are more a V than a U.
Thats a great explanation! thank you! and LOL it was so hard to figure the right lengths and stuff, it took me like 7 hours i believe
@@ChayDenne I really dig your efforts. That is the coolest thing about science and study, Sometimes you have to do things many different ways to find out the precision needed for the best chance of success. Someone should put a syphon in a lake, that’d be funny.
It is done all the time. Lakes and reservoirs are often *siphoned out so they can be dredged. They take cap each end and fill the pipe with water from the top then close the top and open the caps.

When trying to bend pvc pipe or tubing, fill it will sand. The sand will help keep the shape of the bend when bending
When you don’t have pipe cement, duct tape.
Aye bro, keep it up. Once you start gaining traction and start making some more money. You’ll really be able to step things up to the next level

Back in high school (94) We were tasked to make a siphon that self starts and I had seen this one in a PBS documentary. All I did was buy 20ft of clear thin wall 1 1/2" tubing and 12ft stick of 2" PVC. PVC cut to 2', 2.5', 3', and 4', ran the tubing through each PVC in that order and I was done. Took 45 min tops. Soup to nuts.
Your happiness when it worked made me subscribe
I was watching this man abt a few weeks ago when he was around 20k and now he is 80k that’s crazy how fast he is growing
remember me when you’re in Hollywood :D
hell yeah!!👌😁
After watching several videos on siphons I learned you need to have the hose air free. Some submerge the hose in water to take the air out. Others seal both ends after submerging.
do it 1,000,000 for the 1,000,00 your going to get with this amazing content
Subbed before 100k gang
Nice work man, I like your enthusiasm. Reminds me of the first time I got fire from rubbing sticks together - pretty f'ing exciting. No cameras though, and no UA-cam to post any video on anyway. Then again, it's really not that hard, just technique. You might have fun trying it. I experimented with a lot of different fire making techniques and let me save you and your eyebrows the trouble of taking a bullet apart and using a magnifying glass on the gunpowder inside. A small pile of powder flares up nicely - I don't remember, but a foot or two high at least. That a fire does not make, so I put the powder in the "bird's nest", the ball of papery bark tinder with a dent pushed into it to hold a spark from whatever process you're using. You'll use a bird's nest rubbing sticks, because you just make a "coal", not an outright flame at first. You carefully put the coal in the bird's nest and blow and blow until that thing is smoking like a steam engine, and you're wheezing like a steam engine without enough steam, and eventually the air, heat and fuel decide to do what they're supposed to do and ignite into flame. Hope you have the beginnings of your intended campfire ready, because you've got a ball of fire in your hand and the last thing you want to do is drop it and have to start all over. Anyway, I digress, back to the gunpowder. Once I saw how easily the powder burned with the magnifying glass, I took apart another bullet and poured the powder in a perfectly prepared bird's nest. Well it lit just as fast, but it flared up more than "a bit" more than before. I hadn't considered gunpowder does its best work under pressure - literally. Some of the powder had fallen into the tinder fibers, plus I'd kind of squeezed the nest in a little tighter, closer to closed, and it acted similar to how it does in the rifle. It wasn't nearly the pressure it would have had from being capped by the bullet and the riflings of the barrel, but it WAS plenty enough pressure to blow that bird nest into a thousand flaming bits of tinder, all in the proximity of my all-too-closely studying face. Of course, eyebrows do come back, but not nearly fast enough when you're really wishing for some new ones. After dozens of experiments with wax, steel wool, sticks, batteries, glass and etc... I figured out your best bet in the wilds is a Bic lighter - ALWAYS have one, or better yet a few. Cotton balls soaked in petroleum jelly makes perfect tinder, even if it got wet. But back to your siphon, good job again. It sounds like it's most definitely the biggest one you've ever made, but you might not say a whole lot around anybody who understands how hydroelectric dams work. Engineers are the worst, they're real know-it-alls. As in, they really do know it all about dams and siphons. Otherwise, keep on experimenting, you might come up with something brand new. Like a way to grow back eyebrows overnight.
Love the story 😆😂 thanks for sharing! and you should definitely makes some vids about that stuff, at least tik toks! and yes maybe one day i could invent such a thing

Okay wow. People who don’t believe u are just people who are jealous love ur vids keep it up
Pex pipe would’ve been the best choice and you can actually bend it when you heat it up and it doesn’t burn. I did one out of pex to drain a swimming pool and I simply put it completely under water then pulled it out of the water very fast without taking the whole thing out and it began to drain and continued to drain
This is some good content I can't wait for you to get big.

Present year 2020 : ape stick make water go vroom vroom
Here before 1 million subs
Where’s all the views you deserve amazing job!
Problem with your mark one was the diameter and volume of air inside of the pipe. The problem with your mark two was shape. Your mark two could be done much easier, (or upgraded) by ading a bendable wire/rod to the hose. Obviously, if you only attach hose to the bended rod, there will be no cuts on the hose, and the hose will hold its shape even when already falling into the watter, just thrown by your hand. And finaly - the best sollution would be having a hose with one-way valve on its end, and fill the hose by jerking it up and down in the jug.
Cool videos man! Never saw anyone "thread" soft tubing before lol.
You deserve wayyyyy more subscribers
thanks bro!! 😆🙏
You growing subs fast!!!!!!
You should make it so it shoots water back up into it so it’s a fountain
that would be sick
Thanks Guy!
Now I am gonna use it to distill water
You’ll make it big one day keep doing what you’re doing
thank you! working hard 😆
Why not make it from one long (airtight) clear plastic hose and then use some external PVC piping to keep the straight parts straight?
4:05 well it was almost working ,well I almost won the lottery
lol true🙄😂
I LOVE THIS

I just couldnt believe i got it to work... 😂😂 it took 7 HOURS 🙄 and yeah i do i think they're awesome 😂
The first elbows you used might have been thermosetting plastics that’s why they burnt when you heated them so next time when you are getting elbows that you want to bend get thermoplastics which can be remolded
