Cat Thy’s Progress in Meeting the Milestones

Cat Thy was born with Down Syndrome and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and infantile spasms. She was hospitalized at 3 hospitals for a total duration of 9 months. She has a gtube and is trach & ventilator-dependent. Due to long hospitalization and low muscle tone, at 9 months old Cat Thy had no neck control, poor eye contact, had not yet reached any milestones. She spent the first 6 months at home adapting and adjusting to the new environment. Once she turned 14 months old, she started hitting her milestones from teething with the first 2 molars, rolling over, sitting up, smiling, clapping hands, giving high fives, standing up and learning to walk. Cat Thy is a strong, smart, happy and beautiful girl.
