I believe that those with black blades are actively hunted down by Kokushibo and Muzan because they had the potential to use sun breathing. This is why those with black blades never last long because they refuse to have a second Yoriichi.
Sun breathing was also lost to time until Tanjiro came as while those with black blades have the potential to utilise the other breathing styles they cannot master it as it is not their true style.

Black blades were seen as jack of all trades, they never mastered a specific breathing, they were probably meant to learn sun breathing but couldn't, and because they couldn't master their taught styles they probably died faster, and they were probably targeted for their potential
It's also likely a superstition that arose because Muzan might encourage demons to actively hunt demon slayers with black blades due to his ptsd from Yorichi, similarly to how he sent 2 of his lackeys after Tanjiro after seeing his earrings.

@@oscarhinojosa9265 some people strong enough can create enough friction through grip strength to turn their blade to a hot burning red that slows down demons regeneration also the black blade absorbs the most sunlight which makes it even harder for them to regenerate (you dont have to have black blade to turn it that burning red its just even more effective for those with black blade)

It’s theorized he lived so long because he was born with the mark I simply believe it’s a superstition they were born when twins was thought to be a bad omen why wouldn’t they think the same way with marks they knew basically nothing about i honestly think they just died from strong demons or muzan since he said breathing styles no longer interest him that may be because he already met Kokushibo or he’s just met other slayers before hand and it’s likely they were marked slayers another theory I thought of was because of sun breathing it’s the strongest breathing style and puts a huge amount of strain on the body it’s possible that because of this strain yoriichis body became strong enough that the mark didn’t harm him it’s a hope for tanjiro honestly cause I don’t want him to die in the end just after getting achieving his goals

Everyone else who unlocked the mark either died of other reasons or died offscreen. However, it is heavily emphasized throughout the manga that time DO die at 25 if you unlock the mark

Black Blades meant Early death or Bad Luck. In Tanjiro’s case it was an early death.
No because in the manga he died from the fight with Muzan but was revived as a demon but was cured so he trick the mark and lived to old age

Here’s a random thought I had. So Tanjiro died when he became a demon. Then came back to life after being turned back human. Then there’s a chance he could have lived a full life span having already fulfilled the curse mark’s death requirement.

This is completely wrong. Rengoku said black blade users didn’t know which style to master. This is because there was no one to teach them Sun breathing. They died young because 1. They weren’t using the style they were supposed to be and 2. Muzan specifically targeted black blade users out of his fear they’d become as dangerous as Yourichi was.

I’m pretty sure that it is stated in the anime or manga ( not 100% sure) that people with black blades are destined to wield sun breathing but because yoriichi didn’t have any heirs they couldn’t learn it but the kamado family did the kagura ritual because yoriichi showed them all 12 forms, so Tanjiro just copied the kaguro which is pretty much sun breathing, so the reason people with black blades die early on might be because muzan doesn’t want another yoriichi and th people with black blades can’t and don’t use sun breathing.
Or maybe because of the iconic color Muzan hunted then almost as much as He does those with hanafunda earrings and those with something similar to demon slayer marks

I believe that black blade users were supposed to learn all breathing styles. I say this because black holds all the colors, though the video is also correct. Because sun breathing was the first breathing style, that means that it is just as powerful as all the other breathing styles put together. So if someone where to learn the Sun breathing style, they would have to learn at least some of the others first. That’s why Tanjiro has water breathing and thunder breathing too. So therefore 2+2=3

Black blade shows that someone is more suitable for sun breathing and they die young because when they try to use other breathing style they arent able to use that style to its full potential hence dying young. Sun breathing is extremely rare, Yorichii and the Kamado family are the only ones seen in the serles, and the Kamado family has train for many generations to create a child that can use the breathing. Sun breathing is extremely hard to use and is locked for way to many people. Black blades probably could learn múltiples breathing.
