Another fun fact: Notice the plus sign next to the "d" in the second puzzle. In the Bean pilot, there was a red apostrophe. CC reused this puzzle and painted (actual paint!) over the apostrophe with a plus sign. This was a nod to the rebuses in the Norm Blumenthal era of Concentration. (That plus sign doesn't look like the others.)
At 16:40, Roger said Barbecue Spareribs. And, at 17:30, Roger said Barbecue Spareribs, again. And the latter allowed Linda to eliminate Roger by saying Barbecued Spareribs.
The second puzzle was used in pilot #1 with Orson Bean from 1985.
