I bought a 17’ Sunrader with only 52k miles about 7 years ago for $1200. It had the rare 5 speed factory manual. I replaced the fake duallys with a one ton rear axle. Gutted the interior. Desmogged it and replaced factory carb with a new Weber. Unbelievable how much more power it had! Repainted the exterior myself and then had to sell it before finishing the interior. Got $10,000 for it with the interior unfinished but was really sad to have to let it go.

Had a Dolphin. The truck was a lemon, hated it and lost money on it. It was a pig to drive too, so slow and dangerous.

The - Why is there "quotes"? - on the clock comment cracked me up. I hope he was kidding. I know that analog clocks confuse the younger generations that grew up in a mostly digital clock era but it can't be that bad...can it?

It's amazing how many of these Toyota campers are still running around. A testament to the durability of the 22R and the transmission behind it. That's a lot of weight to lug around.

Any RV based on a Toyota truck is a 10/10

I swear shag carpet was an actual fungus in the 70's ....would turn up on the daftest of places (up the side bath panel😳) but be considered luxurious 😂

Nice video Chuck. I’ve been a big fan of shag carpet ever since I converted a 1966 Ford Econoline laundry van back in 1974. Long live van life!

My favorite travelling memories as a kids are from laying in the over the cab bed of our motorhome. It felt like we were flying. Your Toyota camper actually has everything that everyone is trying to put in a van but can't...bath, fixed bed and the u-shaped seating.

This video brings back so many memories of my dad's 1979 Mazda b2000 pickup with a viking pop-up in bed camper. Traveled around north America in that.

Definitely on my list. I’d love to pick up a sunrader but all I keep finding is the larger dolphins.

Looked at a New Dolphin built on Toyota in 1993 out in Las Vegas. It had the larger rear bath but a cramped side dinette.
