I’ve followed/watched a number of Mog sites focusing on those building from scratch. Not taking anything away from what all these adventurers have achieved, this is without a doubt the most incredible Mog fit out I’ve ever seen. Not only that, you have a number of ‘manual’ backups in case electronics fail….and so few people do this. This is built for Oz conditions and the level of day-to-day practicality is amazing. Designed by someone who knows what it’s like to camp day in and day out. Just stunning. You should be proud.
Bloody hell, that is in-flipping-credible! May I ask, are those little pull out platform and steps that are on the two rear storage areas a custom build or purchasable? Thank you 👍🏻
09:55 2003, we built our ExpeditionVehicle with a rear entry. We travel internationally, often in areas of RHD alternating with LHD. In many areas, your entry would be next to passing traffic.

She's beautiful and I would've loved to have that instead of the miniscule campervan I've got now, btw. It's 2 berth ford transit custom lwb with a multi fuel stove.🙏👍
SNOW, This rig U430 can handle snow trails wet and dry all day, not winch necessary, leaps and bounds capable. Hopefully, they can address this in future videos: Us, snow-storm hunters, know that A sustained cold front is a force of nature to be reckoned with...some fellows do not make it. even fire runs away from it. U can always lower the top to circle the heat better in case of a suden extreme drop in temp. My concern would be the cabs, they are not that well insulated from factory, the hoses, water valves etc, special windshield wiper fluid etc,...DO NOT KNOW if box built on a metal frame, wich is great, but it is a pain in very cold environment due to the metal cold transfer and more....
Am watching again Mark🤠. You guys do awesome work. I love it so much 🥺. Let's say I have the mog, how much is the cost of everything else? Because this is the best set up period 🇿🇦
We run these in -70 degrees celsius in Siberia and North America, no problems, the curtain material is made from triple block PVC and with the heater on the lowest setting, it is still too hot without cycling (thermostatically controlled ON/OFF)
You make Aussies prowed. Just a quick question, this bike looks like it is sitting more than 60% rule. Is that because it is removable item this rule doesn't apply?
Yes it is over the 60% overhang rule and therefore it enters a grey area, as it is removable some states allow it others will fine you. So then the customers play the numbers game, have it for 10 years get fined twice $500 = $500 divided by 10 years = $50 per year to have a bike rack (not actual figures and I am not suggesting you break the law). Not a perfect solution but as the customers don't have the bike/s on all the time, that makes it workable. Also some states view Registered Motorbikes differently to Push Bikes and to add to the situation it depends on the Police Officer or Scale Officers
Thank you so much for your interest, all our vehicles shown or pictured are bespoke built and owned by customers, if you would like pricing please send an email to: susan@earthcruiser.net.au Alternatively send us your email.
The U430 has a narrower track than the U530, allowing it to fit into containers more easily. The more important fact is when you order UNIMOG you can spec what thickness Chassis and what Suspension you require, the U430 has better options to achieve our 12t requirement (the U530 can't be "turned" down enough)
#1 on my dream list. The UGE is more my kind of thing with my home on the back. I'd hate to see the state of things in the back rock hopping in one. Is this sitting on 2350 rpm at 100 or does it have the higher speed axles bringing it down to 1900 to get those fuel returns? My cruiser towing a small camper uses 18's at that speed so amazing stuff really. Great work and world class mate.
@Quack, Our rig -- 1996 Ford CF8000. Cummins 505ci/8.3-liter (litre) mechanical, no computers. Allison 3060. At 52mph, we turn 1,825rpm. We rarely get better than 14mpg. GVWR -- 29,000#. Weight across the scale -- 14,000#. Nearly two decades full-time live-aboard.

i dont understand why people take this unimog- the work vehicle- instead of the off-road/military Unimog??? this one has a terrible angle of approach, and the radiator right behind the the front wheel....its not meant for off-roading!!!???
Says you. This Unimog has plenty of clearance and a simple guard protecting the radiator solves that problem (we can jack the truck up under the radiator if need be). Then you have the most advanced cab on the market all composite never rusts and very quite with a very large windscreen allowing for a fabulous vista while ever you are driving. The 400 series allows for bigger motors such as a 350hp coupled to the all new Automatic. Using this doner vehicle allows for use of far more real estate for tanks, step, jacks, batteries etc. The very big plus is the Vario pilot - this facilitates the vehicle to be driven left hand drive or right hand drive in 27 seconds allowing far better world travel. As to its off-road capability, it will keep up with and surpass any other 4wd and overland any terrain it needs to
@@earthcruiseraustralia1823 says Unimog. this work macine is not meant for off-road work. sure, for travelling over tracks it will be ok. but for heavy off-roading a truck with an angle of approach of 26 degrees is just not suited. traveling, i admit, is another thing. in the end most people decide by the looks of a vehicle, and aparently there are people who think this thing looks great.

Too much onboard electronics, in my opinion. After more than 20 long journeys around the world, I learned it's very hard to get electronics support in many parts of Asia, Africa and South America. That's why I prefer easier solutions, an engine not controlled by electronics, no touch screen but electric high quality switches, less electric devices (no electric stairs, for example, but manual) . Less devices = less chance of failure, less maintenance and easier.
Thanks for your input - we know if you are and "Overland" Earthcruiser customer just simply if you understand the inside toilet and shower, I guess you don't. Sorry.....
Just shut up and take my money already! Seriously though, I wish there was a bit more information about cruising speed on the 'Mog. How many RPMs at 100km/h in top gear? And what sort of range do you get from the two tanks of diesel, and how often would you need to refill the adblue tank. Presumably this rig would fit in a standard sized shipping container....?
110km in any direction including straight up. It uses 19lt per 100km on the Highway and Off-road depends. We fit a larger ad-blue tank which needs filling every 10,000km (Hwy use). It will fit in a High Cube Shipping container once it is dropped onto its container rims

Easily compensated with a heater for the quarters circulating through the engine radiator.
