@@matthew8153 this. I usually side with house, because I'm not gonna backstab Odo, he kept that station running, he deserves a win! I would have liked a robot voiced by Nana Visitor (Kira) for extra nerd points.
Victor is not the 2nd sex slave. There was a 2nd character marilyn meant to be in the game. Due to time constraints they cancelled it. The model for the 2nd girl is in the files.
Same. Libertarian and Autocrat (more like a monarch by any other name) ideologies are literally the opposite of eachother. The terms don't belong in the same sentence, if you ask me. Mr. House's plans amount to little more than making himself into some sort of new age King. There's an old saying: "If your ideas require violence to enforce them, your ideas aren't worth a damn." Need I say more? A Libertarian wouldn't feel the need to have thousands, if not tens of thousands of heavily-armed and armored combat drones at his beck and call.
@@MFKR696 that saying is ungodly dumb absolutely everyone needs violence and the threat of violence to enforce one's will. Anarchists, libertarians, even pacifist socialists. Unless your ideology gives you absolutely no directive to impact society in any way, it is fundamentally violent. But even then it could still be argued that it is violent since it is complicit with presently occurring violence and agreements that are solidified by the threat of violence.
@@leathery420 Kinda, yeah. Although, the first time I met House, I already had my suspicions that he was some kind of cyborg or android, the game throws a lot of hints about him, and even if FNV was your first Fallout game, you wouldn't be susprised if that was the case, either. I know I wasn't.
"only to be done in by a mail carrier with a grandiosity complex" thay should have kept this in the game, it fits house perfectly and would have been hilarious
I still didn't like that they cut the BOS house alliance. You say it is because it is out of character to have house compromise, this I can agree with normally. House is a genius who has run the numbers and determined the brotherhood to be at best a nuisance or at worse a serious threat for his post Hoover future, I don't deny this either. But I had been hoping so MUCH for Hardin replacing McNamara to have some sort of big game change at the end, and this would have been such a clever way to have the choice. NCR and a peaceful brotherhood House and a true techno raider brotherhood allied to the greatest mind alive. (Unrelated skip, I really figured it would be a Hardin BOS/ Caesar symbiotic relationship my first time I ousted McNamara. The BOS want tech, the Legion abhors it, Caesar needs some smart people to run the background tech he will use to empower his legion, but it can not be legionnaires as it might "corrupt" them. The western BOS have no history of land grabbing, just tech hoarding/prevention. If they could agree to aid in tech seizure and run some power/build aquifers or such, this relationship could work. Furthermore the BOS doesn't intermingle with society, if the legion treated them with some sort of "tech priest" DO NOT INTERFERE WITH class of society, this would work amazingly well) Bit back with house, how would you convince him? To me that is the best part, they could have taken this as an opportunity to have a high QUEST related science check and a brief humbling moment for house at the slight underestimation of the skills of his human agent. Talk to house and tell him you have managed to get the brotherhood Elder replaced, something statistically improbable to the point house would not have predicted it, and thus he would have to spend weeks redoing his calculations, or...just trust his top field agent's judgement (high speech pending). Instead, we ended up with house inevitably being forced to kill the BOS who just sit in their bunker all day...and come out rarely at night, such a threat. (Having said all my rant about that, what I recall from a forum post back in the day however, another reason BOS+House was cut was because, WITHOUT house ordering the BOS deaths, his ending is borderline idealistic if you make appropriate story choices in other areas of freeside and the game and the devs definitely went grey>happy with NV which overall I quite like)
deaths dentist you say that the brotherhood aren't a threat, but if you want to join the brotherhood, Hadrian literally sends you to go kill all of the van graffs because they have energy weapons.
deaths dentist 1. I don't think house cares about the van graffs, all the van graffs are is a mafia that only cares about money. 2. If the brotherhood of steel will send out someone to go kill all of there members because they have energy weapons, I'm pretty sure they won't be a fan of mr houses giant securitron army and will probably want to get rid of him, even yes man comments on this and you can also hear the brotherhood members talk about it.
As an additional note of something I have never thought about till now that is making me feel quite stupid... Why the heck does no one think the BOOMERS are a threat needing to be killed and that they are open to reason? Lore wise, no one lives to meet them, they are intensely tribal which in the real world almost inevitably is a bad thing, Pearl could wake up one morning and order a full bombardment to shell new Vegas to a pulp (as far as any faction knows they have full artillery shell stocks). And no one knows how their society or culture would react to a foreign emissary, they could see the guy as a harbinger of death and instead try to kill the faction that sent the courier, there is no real way to know. And everyone, even house, is like, yeah go talk to these insanely xenophobic tribals and convince them to shell the other guys or at least not shell our guys at the battle okay? I've never thought of how crazy the Boomer scenario is in comparison to the BOS and in retrospect it seems odd. NCR needs the help so this makes sense for them to send you damn the cost. Legion wants the deck stacked in their favor and a known threat is better than an unknown one, so it makes sense for them to send you. Independent is an I do what I want thing so obviously you do you. But for house in retrospect it just seems odd to let them live. One could argue House and his simulations would come to the conclusion "the only winning move is not to play" in regards to the boomers, as they have no history of outside aggression, or expansion from their base, but this would lead to him telling the courier just not to go. I really find it hard to believe he sees the BOS as a greater threat than the guys who literally are aiming their guns at New Vegas and would order the weaker ones death in all scenarios but not the stronger ones.
deaths dentist because the boomers don't care about anybody else, the boomers keep to them selves, while the brotherhood are hoarders of technology and basically kill anyone who has technology. Not only that, if the bombers really wanted to hurt people or kill anyone, you think they would have done it by now.
Me: [looks out my window to see America] Me: i see your point Mr House...we frakked up the dream..... House: we can save it.... Me: naww, better to burn it all and start over fresh House: ahh tebula rasa then.... Me: I hate tablets House: it means blank slate Me: ooooooohhhh, yeah that lol House: let's begin then shall we?
He was a great actor did a lot of voice acting in some good games and cartoons and was in some awesome movies but of course he was probably best as Odo in Star Trek. He'll live on in all of them.
You should really submit your cut content documentation to the F4NV developers. This stuff is really good. While they're remastering New Vegas in Fallout 4, they also want to reimplement some of the cut content.
That's a really good idea. I'll have to do some serious reformatting first though. I have 20+ google docs for various aspects of F:NV's cut content and all of them are littered with annotations for video ideas, geck notes, etc.
Mr. House won't do shit for humanity. His plan is literally just tax evasion. He waited 200 years for others to do the hard work of rebuilding civilization, used his robots to steal land from the locals, and now he's trying to pull a coup with his robots so he doesn't have to pay back into the NCR, all while they do the hard work of ensuring society's survival and maintaining a viable economy. While House talks about grand plans, he's a terrible leader and is taking no steps to acomplish them. The Three Families say House hasn't done anything since setting up the Strip. He's not actually directing them towards anything. He's been imposing 50% taxes on the Strip for 4 years in order to finance the recovery of a software package. Meanwhile, the White Gloves are eating people, the Omertas and Benny are both independently planning coups against him, and Gomorrah is a den of slavery, even killing women for fun. The fucking Legion is more civilized than his tribes. All House has done for the Wasteland is build a den of debauchery, another New Reno. Compare that to the NCR, which has government, security, infrastructure, healthcare, food, water, electricity, industry, working trains even! All by their own effort.
House giving into the NCR is likely related to the Substation being able to power the Strip. And it'd likely involve some sort of sale over the Dam as well. If the NCR gave House no reason to use the Dam and he was severely weakened (destruction of the army), the NCR could easily push into the area and compromise the Strip's independence. Another part of the reason it was cut was to give the player more of a moral dilemma as stated by Sawyer.
I do think the moral dilemma part is important, and NCR playthrough shouldn’t just be every single faction on board no matter their ideologies or motives
Marilyn and jane have unused reference markers in the suite Janes line "Perhaps we can entertain you as well" Gives an idea as to what they might be used for
I wish they had more time to make this game, then we wouldn't get so much cut content. I feel like Bethesda was expecting a sort of "large DLC" rather then a full game and the scope of the project just wasn't communicated right. Either that or Zenimax rushed em which wouldn't really surprise me either
Mods pretty much make this game perfect, because you can edit whatever you want and add a bunch of cut content. Roleplaying as a Legion soldier makes the game very hard, while roleplaying as a merchant with a Brahmin is just fun as hell.
I’ve heard conflicting stories of who was at fault including Obsidian, who underestimated the difficulty of learning the engine which took a lot of their time
My understanding is they could have taken more time to work on it. They chose not to. Besides, the main constraint wasn't time. You'll notice half of what Triangle says is "disabled" or "in the game files". This stuff had often already been done. It just wouldn't have added much and been taxing on the engine, consoles, etc.
@@ShamrockShows I know Josh Sawyer said that obsidian just bit off more than they could chew and that there wasn't any ill will between the studios. I don't know how much of that is true and how much of it is just trying to put the drama to rest but that's what he said. If anyone would know it's him.
I feel like in a very very late game NCR stage you could've made him begrudgingly accept a NCR alliance, but it'd probably have to be in a super drastic case.
Alreay exists. Sort of. Grab the Chip from Benny, go directly to the Fort, without letting him upgrade the securitrons, blow up his army, and he'll announce that the Strip is joining the NCR. Then they'll have you kill him anyways.
Ive played that game for many many hours and only know i learn that you can upgrade the suite at the lucky 38, this game has so much content its ludicrous and i love it.
There are so many videos about cutted content from NV and none of them are relatively even close to your one. Like god dame you have even conversations with developers. Very underrated video
@@TriangleCity I already watched a lot of your films. You are doing a grate job, seriously. I'm hoping you have some contact with team from Fallout 4 New Vegas because you have sooooo much informations that are not available on the internet. Big love from new subscriber
The more I play this game, the more I feel like Benny had it right all along. He was just playing the game to win, no different than House, Kimball or Caesar, but unlike each of them, he was a native to the post-war area, and was among the first to "convert" to a civilized manner. The NCR is safe, the Legion is powerful, and House is smart, but Benny understands Vegas better than any of them, because at the end of the day, House is a barely living relic, Caesar is an heirless dying weirdo and the NCR is full of overbearing squares. New Vegas deserves Benny in charge.
@Evilmike42 if you mod the game to include benny as a companion it basically feels like Benny's in charge. Of course you gotta get him out of the Fort which isn't easy, but the stealth boy helps. Also Yes Man is hilarious imo the voice actor was perfect.
@@Arceon55 I agree with that in principle but in practice land is only yours if you got the muscle to make it yours, which in every factions case boils down to whether the courier places their trust in them or not. House is smart enough to run Vegas but when you meet him he's little more than a glorified babysitter, and he barely does that job well enough, because none of the casinos are strictly loyal to him other than the Lucky 38 which doesn't make any money unless you add the mod. He doesn't have the spirit or the juice of either Old or New Vegas. To me taking out House is the same as the Pantheon taking out the Titans: a natural changing of the guard. He talks a big game like he'll lead humanity back into the future but he's done more to preserve himself than anyone else, and its doubtful that he actually rescues a civilization lost to nuclear fire. He comes off as a bit of a fraud and a bit like he knows the NCR/Legion can overpower him (without the Mark IIs).
@@geordiejones5618 Well, House never asked the casinos for strict loyalty. Only that they fulfill their part of the contract and in return, they're given relative autonomy. And I think the reason he might come off as a "glorified babysitter" like you said is because House really hasn't had the time or the resources to truly show the Courier his potential for the future by the time you meet him, given that he spent decades in a coma and had to revert to a primitive version of his OS after using all of his strength to defend Vegas. Everything that you see in Fallout: New Vegas is him basically winging it, which isn't his style. And aside from that, I would say that civilizations like the NCR and Legion aren't very special in the grand scheme of things. If they were to fall, eventually another society with similar ideals would replace them. But there's only one Mr. House, the only man with the sheer technical acumen and ambition to possibly elevate humanity beyond Earth. If he dies, that future dies with him, and so I feel it's only right to side with him in that regard. (Also I can't bring myself to make Victor upset, he's my robot buddy.)
Despite a few editing overlaps this was a very entertaining video. House has always been my favorite character/faction in FO:NV as he personifies the benevolent paternalism side of leadership: strict and condescending yet fair and rewarding. He may be cold and seemingly uncaring at times, but unlike the Legion this isn't out of abstract or arbitrary pretense, and unlike either the Legion or the NCR he lets people do what they want and maintains autonomy. Both he and Caesar have a lot in common, but their ideas of how to rebuild from the ashes (a hands-off guardian of a microstate vs. an expansionist empire) are irreconciliable as they are quite literally geniuses from different times. He embodies what Bioshock's Rapture would have been had the message there been less ham-fisted. I can see why they removed the cut content and honestly they made the best choices, but I still miss it. The idea of the lockdown is humorously appropriate as it's House's way of giving the player a timeout. For someone so "emotionless" he understands how to handle people very well (which is why he became a CEO rather than merely a scientist).
I can imagine the Lucky 38 lockdown working quite well with the wait time and sleeping system disabled for up to 24 in-game hours. That would've been awesome to see it happen on-screen.
The vocal tracks about House joining the NCR are fully dubbed and implemented into the French version of the game! It always troubled me why nobody/wiki was talking about this outcome !
I love this game, but I've never been terribly happy with the end-game options -- either I follow an order from the NCR to murder House, or I stick with House and wipe out the entire Brotherhood before turning on the NCR, or I do even worse in the service of the Legion -- or I never get to see the final showdown at the dam. At the very least, I felt that as I was standing in front of House, decked out in my Brotherhood of Steel power armor, as an honorary Paladin, I should have had some alternative dialogue choices when he tells me to wipe them out. (Or when it comes to killing House, when he asks WHY, I'd love to have the option to say, "You IDIOT. I'm a Brotherhood Paladin, and you asked me to wipe out the Brotherhood? What did you THINK was going to happen?") That said, this is still an amazing game, and I go back and play it again now and then (trying new mods -- such as New California, etc.), and of all the entries in the Fallout series, I think it's given me the most to think about. Thanks for the video! It was fascinating to learn about the various elements that ended up on the cutting-room floor and that "could have been," if things had turned out a little differently.
I agree about the dialogue options, but about the ending choices not being great... yeah that's kinda the point. Ideologies put into practise are always flawed because there's always a human element. There never can be a perfect way to resolve these kinds of complex problems. The game's main themes would be severely undermined if one of the options had no major downsides.
@@Wveth Even the "Yes Man' option has a big flaw that lots of people overlook because of their ego. And that's the fact that you don't rule the strip yourself. Yes-man puts the securitrons on autopilot, under you perceived worldview, before shutting down to upgrade on a non-specific time frame. At best you can come back and take House's place but the power vacuum will be filled likely before you return - its why its the anarchy ending. You leave no one in complete charge for the foreseeable future, with whatever chaos that might ensue from that.
Anne Isopod Where? The securitrons remain and keep order on the strip, but the outlook on the strip changes by your karma and so likely in the way the bots enforce things. You leave the mojave to its own devices, possibly up to leaving it altogether as of the final slide about you disappearing into history, iirc (really House has that too, even if you work for him). Its not specified how long Yesman takes to upgrade and you can't give orders in that time unless you had access to the network Yesman hijacked, and the entire game treats the Yesman ending as free in its autonomy (not Yesman being free, but the Mojave), which includes from you. I don't think there's anything wrong with a headcannon that leaves you in place of respect or influences but the point that you're not leaving youself in charge seems pretty well made by virtue of no mention of your direct control of an independent mojave. I mean, hell, the ending for Boomers and the Followers even talks about how chaotic and anarchic it gets without a defined leader: ua-cam.com/video/FBQJSz1ZYJ8/v-deo.html The only part that seems to talk like you made a nation under you is Dingbat McBadGeneral
That's the beauty I guess, it took me some minutes to kill house, Altough , While roleplaying, I came to the conclusion that, house's ideology and mine were different. Altough he gave me a second chance to live, he's a menace to the freedom of individuals in the future. The man has the Most important brain of the mojave but you have to kill him because he doesn't have a heart. Truly amazing work by obisidian by make me feel uneasy by trying not to kill a ficcional character that could enslave a fictional world. But yes, I understand ncr/legion/yesman decision to eliminate him. He's the one who can stop them/you. And there's the fact that the Most important man in the mojave (and maybe in the us) dies by the hand of a courier. A noone. That's amazing
House joining the NCR could have made sense if it was a deal like, he becomes a citizen of the NCR, and gives nominal control of the Mojave over to them, in exchange the NCR let's him run New Vegas as well as many other casinos and business dealings within the NCR, perhaps becoming the economic minister. The NCR would also be required to provide him workers and material to make his Securitrons. House would be required to give the NCRA some amount of Securitrons with a special police protocol like how the protectrons have in fallout 4. Or something along those lines.
I wish that we could have seduced Mr. House. He had the best ending IMO. Such a brilliant man, he can always scan my brain. That way, I could be with him when he colonized the stars.
The man is my boss and nothing more. Why would you want a 264 or so year old guy as a romantic partner? I get it some women like older men for whatever reason, but that's taking it too far.
A better translation would be 'The bored women's newspaper. (Aburrida is the feminine of aburrido: bored. Which may also played with the 'bored housewife' trope and their consumption of variety/gossip magazines, hence the name)
Honestly it had little to do with the engine at the end of the day. It had to do with the promised metacritic score being below the desired score during the release window. Yes, the game was buggy. Yes it was a complete mess until several weeks later and (several) fan patches to fix the major issues but in the long run, the game is more successful that anything Bethesda has released for the Fallout franchise since F3 (and even that was a disaster)
@@ProductioDestruction Wow I didn't realize YT was so bad at notifications. I had no Idea anyone liked this comment or even commented on it until today. I would love for Obsidian to use that Microsoft money to buy the Fallout IP back for Bethetic and restore it to proper glory 👍
TriangleCity Still an excellent video! Quite enjoyed the last videos about the legion they have been the talk of the town amongst my friend group! Really looking forward to see the rest.
I thnk you're totally wrong it's the option I would have chosen and it would be TOTALLY in character for House to be pragmatic. You would destroy his burried army so he would not have sufficient power to resist a military force but still enough to negotiate good terms that would allow him to keep some local and economic autonomy and then you have two forces keeping eachother in check against the other's excesses.
I've been lowkey stalking your channel waiting for the next video in this series LOL. My 'canon' run is an independent Vegas - I have a hard time doing anything else. I've always loved the relationship between the Courier and Mr. House as a sort of disobedient child/strict father relationship. I would've LOVED the option to seduce him. The initial confrontation with Benny and the option to seduce him was one of the moments in my first playthrough that stands out to me as being like.... holy shit, this game really is something else. Seducing Mr. House would've been infinitely more disgusting, but also hilarious and downright delightful in the way that only F:NV can pull off. Another fantastic video, I can't wait for the next one. This series is truly awesome.
wow they really shouldnt have cut the House dialoge for when your killing him, doing it in game is just so weird and feels so absent without it. Also makes killing him even more of a shit move for those players who are greedy bigots lol. JK im just a House fanboy and you are given the choice to kill him and thats a freedom I appreciate.
I mean holy shit can we take a moment to appreciate the effort to figure this all out. Thank you man, that is badass and the effort is really appreciated.
What's interesting, if you consider The Outer Worlds a spiritual successor to this game, and you choose Mr. House, is the fact that humanity becomes essentially one massive corporation-driven species, according to his dream. He mentions he wants to spread humanity to the stars, which could easily end up with an even more dystopian & wacky future that culminates in the plot of The Outer Worlds. Really cool to think about.
It be so insane if they remastered NV to put all the cut content now imagine getting dlc or a sequel showing off what happens at the end of every faction if they win that put NV as the best rpg ever made like the Witcher on steroids and acid
I think it makes sense that the cut House surrender to NCR to revolve around the destruction of the securitons in the Fort. Whilst following the NCR questline - For the Republic 2 - there is no point, either mandatory or optional, where the Courier is expected to visit the Fort and encounter Caesar and the Legion questline. Having this as an optional stage during the section where you need to take care of House could make sense, as it is better for the NCR to easily annex Vegas this way, as indicated by one of Moore's voicelines where she admits that assassinating House will weaken the Strip economy which they want to colonize, but it's an acceptable loss. Plus, even though I'd support the NCR myself, I think House means well for Vegas even if it isn't the best option, and he deserves to still have economic ownership of the area. I don't like having to kill him.
On Xbox the lucky 36 has to be opened each time by victor before you reach a certain point in the House mission tree Also you can kill victor as much as you want he’ll respond but still hostile he plays the “I should have left you in the dirt”
You didn't talk about House's dialogue with General Oliver that never appears in the game: "Ah, General Oliver. I expected you would survive. I see you've met my star employee. A real performer, obviously - and a lot more reliable than the other candidate I considered for the position. I'd pay very close attention to what he has to say, as well as any official papers he hands over for your perusal. Let's get on with it, shall we? Hmm?--"
Thank you so much! :)) I'll most likely have a new episode out next week. It's an interview based episode and those are generally much, much easier for me to create.
TriangleCity I can’t wait. Maybe once you’ve cleaned the cutting room floor with Fallout New Vegas you could do some other games as well. This type of content is really interesting.
I'd like to make a series in this same vein on KOTOR 2 at some point. Potentially one on Van Buren too. Both of those are pretty massive undertakings though, as KOTOR 2 has a significantly more cut content than F:NV, while Van Buren was cancelled, so those are likely very, very far in the future. I'd like also like to make a mini series on the other Fallout game's cut content. :) There are many games with a tremendous amount of cut content, but considering the nature of making these videos(which involves a lot research and rifling through code and files), I only have the patience to make them about games I'm passionate about. I never even planned on making this series, until I saw, that at least in my opinion, no one had ever done F:NV's cut content proper justice.
In a game where you can convince the Terror of the East, Lanius, to surrender peacefully, being forced to destroy the Brotherhood of Steel when siding with House was a huge mistake. Sure, House wanted the Brotherhood out of the way, but this game had a ton of systems in place to persuade others through SPECIAL stats, speech checks, dialogue choices, reputation, and more. It should have been possible to play peacemaker. Difficult, certainly. but possible.
Lanius never surrenders really. He withdraws with a stated goal of returning, but likely just isn't charismatic enough to pull it off. I actually think he's stronger and at least as smart as Caesar but he lacks the respect and so can't gain control.
Thank you do much! I sincerely hope so. It would be a tremendous effort to implement properly in certian cases though, which is unfortunately why there hasn't been more content restoration. Or at least I assume that's the case.
fallout.wikia.com/wiki/File:Earlyfnvmapdraft.png The next episode is going to an interview with Lead Producer Jason Bergman, talking about the game's cut content, as well as it's development.
I think the compromise could have worked, I just think the explanation they put in game doesn't. If you could convince the BOS to become a security force able to enter the casinos and manage the use of techonology abuse within House's empire, on the downlow, while giving them access to the newest tech (almost newest tech - House should always have a kill switch), while also highlighting *to* the BOS that House's technology, knowledge, and weaponry doesn't get removed if he's killed and he's proven himself responsible in its use. (Who knows what a Yes-man Benny nightmare could have caused.) In short, you sell House on a secret police force that goes where the securitrons *can't* without causing chaos, and the BOS gets to protect some of the most invaluable technology from falling into unworthy hands if House dies at some point. They have a lot to gain from eachother.
Thanks again I seen mod of Ligth vegas and House flirts (but there wasnt scan) and the mod of death house message too. Mod for this cut are more then others cut, maybe because there was almost complete.
It's a passion project for me in my free time, so it might take a while to get all of the videos out, but I'm definitely going to complete the series. :)
I AM SO EXCITED!!! Raul just confirmed my theory that House had the means to scan brains and turn it into transferable data! House could have sent the gunners with copies of his mind to bring to different commonwealth factions. Macready - Desperate for work and answers on the illness affecting his son, Macready would be a motivated individual with a more personal drive to complete tasks, House could have seen his potential and sent him to Goodneighbor to find railroad agents. He got his pay so he was able to leave the rougher work the gunners were making him do but would explain how he had the means of staying at the bar all the time before you run into him at the third rail where he just finished drinking his retirement. Deacon - the promise of a body for Robco security codes, The Institute - This was a gamble but since the Institute collects technology and information, All the gunners had to do was show up at the high range broadcasting radio / tv stations around the city to send an encrypted message House made asking for a dialogue. The synths on site probably killed the gunner mercs but also collected the copy of House's mind. Once in, he used the locations of the DC Enclave remnants House had provided housing in old robco and us armory bunkers as a bargaining chip, hence why we see so many enclave defeated in the region but not an active presence. He escaped with the help of Patriot, and lured the Institute to the original Railroad safe houses as a means of wearing down both groups, by then he had a copy that stole data from the switchboard, and another copy that lured the Institute to the Switchboard. This copy is killed but knowing House he probably flat out told them they failed and that he had more copies, challenging and luring Zimmer who had all the knowledge of the FEV and synth projects into the wastes for abduction and mind scanning to use all of the Institutes work he had missed out on since the Great War. By then, he could copy his mind and put it in any synth. With the means to Immortality achieved, House uses a group of synths he acquired from the Rivet City surgeon and orchestrated the assassination of Lyon's Pride. If this is correct, all the damage caused in the commonwealth before we left vault 111 was caused by House, and the Brotherhood of Steel were tricked into wiping out his loose ends. Kellogg could have also been paid off by House for assistance in getting an audience with the Institute, possibly even gave him inside knowledge he had of the Institute to further his own gains as a trade to not hunt him once he escaped. A lot of variables but The fact House went to CIT, Founded Robco, Worked directly with the US government / enclave, and was possibly a protege to Lorenzo Cabot (Also implying the hidden Alien city Lorenzo references was under or very close to New Vegas!).
we defenitly need a mod that restores the second female robot and its dialoge ... and i wish there would be a way to enter mister house´s secret room without turning anyone hostile and without killing him ...
18:50 I was just about to point that. I actually got a bit of a glitch for it to happen somehow, not sure how, this was on 1.00 :/ 19:40 He actually does do that in deals and writing, I usually attribute the vault incident to his AI and the tribals he used as he doesn’t factor in your methods all that much
Theres a mod that restores the intended lucky 38 climate and i just downloaded it 2 days ago, its great. Now i just wish you could see the city and lights from there
Thank you so much! :) The next two videos will be interviews with Jason Bergman and Jorge Salgado. Jorge has given me so many great answers it's getting to the point that video might have to be 2 seperate episodes though.
Oh man. I really want to watch this, but feel like I'll have to come back to it once I've actually finished the game. I only started playing it for the first time recently. Yes, I consider myself lucky.
First! ( I think) But also, great video! I really enjoy this series, even though I know most of this stuff. There was plenty of stuff I didn't know though, and I enjoyed learning that. Edit: 13:13-13:15 the dialouge (transition?) is hard to understand and overlaps
Started watching through this series yesterday not even realizing this one was just released yesterday. I can't wait to see the rest. Thank you for putting this series out there. I've heard about some of this stuff before, like Marilyn, but the footage you provide actually showing these off is quite interesting to see as someone who knows nothing about digging through game files. Sub well earned.
Thank you so much and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Yeah these videos take me a while to put together unfortunately, as this is something I just do in my free time. The next episode should be out relatively soon though(hopefully early next week), as I've already written the script and recorded the VO/footage, and those parts are typically the most time consuming.

Mr House has *VOLUNTARILY* lmao
Mr House's voice acting is honestly one of the best in any game ever imo.
Agreed. His amazing voice acting, combined with the excellent dialogue is truly something special.
He's an actual actor. Check out "person of interest." or on a newer, but smaller scale, "evil"

“I kind of just wanted to say Libertarian Technocrat. Not sure the next I'll have the chance haha "
Still not fitting

Kinda, yeah. Although, the first time I met House, I already had my suspicions that he was some kind of cyborg or android, the game throws a lot of hints about him, and even if FNV was your first Fallout game, you wouldn't be susprised if that was the case, either. I know I wasn't.
I always thought Victor should have been a Mr House specific companion
"only to be done in by a mail carrier with a grandiosity complex" thay should have kept this in the game, it fits house perfectly and would have been hilarious
It might make a few people check themselves before going through with it
I still didn't like that they cut the BOS house alliance.
NCR and a peaceful brotherhood
House and a true techno raider brotherhood allied to the greatest mind alive.
Furthermore the BOS doesn't intermingle with society, if the legion treated them with some sort of "tech priest" DO NOT INTERFERE WITH class of society, this would work amazingly well)
Bit back with house, how would you convince him?
(Having said all my rant about that, what I recall from a forum post back in the day however, another reason BOS+House was cut was because, WITHOUT house ordering the BOS deaths, his ending is borderline idealistic if you make appropriate story choices in other areas of freeside and the game and the devs definitely went grey>happy with NV which overall I quite like)
Wow...this comment is incredible and easily one of my favorites. Very astute perspective. :))
deaths dentist you say that the brotherhood aren't a threat, but if you want to join the brotherhood, Hadrian literally sends you to go kill all of the van graffs because they have energy weapons.
deaths dentist 1.

Very good points my friend. :)
it along with the bos would of been good, tbh.
I do think the moral dilemma part is important, and NCR playthrough shouldn’t just be every single faction on board no matter their ideologies or motives

From what I heard ZeniMax fucked obsidian over. They were the one who made the 18 month deadline
I could imagine that. After losing his securitron army and NCR victory becoming more likely, I could see a begrudging truce.
Alreay exists. Sort of. Grab the Chip from Benny, go directly to the Fort, without letting him upgrade the securitrons, blow up his army, and he'll announce that the Strip is joining the NCR.

Wonderful video, but that was legitimately the most hideous version of Veronica that I have ever seen. Creepy as hell.
"Overbearing." I see what you did there.
I can see your point but Benny shot me in the face, so.....
Which Bioshock
Nothing says "maintaining autonomy" like committing genocide to tribes and communities
Joe Joseph K which tribes?
What did you THINK was going to happen?")
That said, this is still an amazing game, and I go back and play it again now and then (trying new mods -- such as New California, etc.), and of all the entries in the Fallout series, I think it's given me the most to think about.
@@danielmira97 Mr house allows A LOT MORE FREEDOM than the NCR
House joining the NCR could have made sense if it was a deal like, he becomes a citizen of the NCR, and gives nominal control of the Mojave over to them, in exchange the NCR let's him run New Vegas as well as many other casinos and business dealings within the NCR, perhaps becoming the economic minister. The NCR would also be required to provide him workers and material to make his Securitrons. I am loving this series. A ton of info I didn't know put in an entertaining way. Very much looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work!!
Aww :D
What's interesting, if you consider The Outer Worlds a spiritual successor to this game, and you choose Mr. House, is the fact that humanity becomes essentially one massive corporation-driven species, according to his dream. He mentions he wants to spread humanity to the stars, which could easily end up with an even more dystopian & wacky future that culminates in the plot of The Outer Worlds. Really cool to think about.
My favorite faction and ending.
The house always wins, baby!
lucius was hard enough to convince, i dont want to think about how hard it would be to butter up house in a speach check
It be so insane if they remastered NV to put all the cut content now imagine getting dlc or a sequel showing off what happens at the end of every faction if they win that put NV as the best rpg ever made like the Witcher on steroids and acid
I actually kinda like the creepier depiction of Houses face. Makes him feel more dead and ancient
Honestly this series is the only thing that excites me anymore, cracking stuff, well done.
I'm flattered! Thank you so much :)
i honestly hope one day someone can restore the scene of victor helping you activate the strip reactor.
I think the legion wanted to make new vegas call Rome New capital city? Instead they probably crucified people who's been living there
5:17 Mr House= the animal xD.
On Xbox the lucky 36 has to be opened each time by victor before you reach a certain point in the House mission tree
Also you can kill victor as much as you want he’ll respond but still hostile he plays the “I should have left you in the dirt”
god damn that opening was perfect!
Thank you so much! 🖤
Hmm?--"
Love the cutting room floor videos. I would love to see more!
Thank you so much! :))
I'll most likely have a new episode out next week.
There are many games with a tremendous amount of cut content, but considering the nature of making these videos(which involves a lot research and rifling through code and files), I only have the patience to make them about games I'm passionate about. I never even planned on making this series, until I saw, that at least in my opinion, no one had ever done F:NV's cut content proper justice.
i like the final screen face he looks more smug
This video explains exactly why killing House in the final game feels so empty and absurdly easy.
Sound editing is the meme itself
Just discovered this and I love this series. Maybe somebody will make a mod that restores a lot of the good cut content.
Thank you do much!
I sincerely hope so. It would be a tremendous effort to implement properly in certian cases though, which is unfortunately why there hasn't been more content restoration. Or at least I assume that's the case.
TriangleCity can you send me a link to the original fallout new vegas map, also what's gonna be the next episode about?
Thanks

The next episode is going to an interview with Lead Producer Jason Bergman, talking about the game's cut content, as well as it's development.
Happy birthday to Mr. House!
I love the voice artist who played Mr. HOUSE
That intermission killed me, God I love New Vegas.
This is an editing nightmare, what happened man
Thanks again
I seen mod of Ligth vegas and House flirts (but there wasnt scan) and the mod of death house message too. Mod for this cut are more then others cut, maybe because there was almost complete.
Thank you for watching all my videos!!! 🖤🖤🖤
I hope this game gets remade someday with all content restored and more dialogue options included.
Fantastic video once again
Thank you so much! :))
"its a strong hand...i dealt it to myself" is such a good line holy shit
Call me psycho but House telling you to stay away from the console result hilarious for me
Thanks for all your hard work mate
I'm glad you enjoyed it. It definitley justifys the monotony of making these videos.
Please continue this Fallout series!
Wait a minute... House was voiced by Reverend Oliver from The Patriot? Now that would explain why he sounded vaguely familiar.
Yes he was the reverend in that movie, and more notably a major character in Star Trek Deep Space 9.
oh you had to bring that show up? Yeah, ok. He was also Odo. But I try not to think about that.
18:50
I was just about to point that.
I actually got a bit of a glitch for it to happen somehow, not sure how, this was on 1.00 :/
19:40
He actually does do that in deals and writing, I usually attribute the vault incident to his AI and the tribals he used as he doesn’t factor in your methods all that much
Theres a mod that restores the intended lucky 38 climate and i just downloaded it 2 days ago, its great. Now i just wish you could see the city and lights from there
An excellent video! I can't wait to see what next
Thank you so much! :)
The next two videos will be interviews with Jason Bergman and Jorge Salgado. Jorge has given me so many great answers it's getting to the point that video might have to be 2 seperate episodes though.
Oh man. I really want to watch this, but feel like I'll have to come back to it once I've actually finished the game. I only started playing it for the first time recently. Yes, I consider myself lucky.
Yeah this series is riddled with spoilers. I think anyone who's gotten a chance to play this game is lucky IMO. :)
8:23 ahh, so it was my ENB! I was so confused as to why house was invisible
First! ( I think)
But also, great video! I really enjoy this series, even though I know most of this stuff.
There was plenty of stuff I didn't know though, and I enjoyed learning that.
Edit: 13:13-13:15 the dialouge (transition?) is hard to understand and overlaps
I just wanna say that I can hear Wayne Newtons voice when reading the quote on the 7 of diamonds at 18:59
I really wonder how it would have been if they had more time to work on it and if only consoles didn't limit them.....
Yes man already says that line about not needing hoover damn in the base game
I cant wait for Fallout 4 New Vegas. Some of the cut content will be restored.
Any idea of the approximate release date for it?
A tragedy has befallen all mankind.
The next episode should be out relatively soon though(hopefully early next week), as I've already written the script and recorded the VO/footage, and those parts are typically the most time consuming.
i appreciate you uploading cut content vids i hope you do it with all future Bethesda games!
