Hey there! S**t happens! Trust me, I know! I’m a 67 yr old gay man who lives vicariously through your postings here. My generation of gay men was wiped out by AIDS, that means my best friend and all my friends were all gone by the time I hit 35. I’m alone these days, relationships came and went, love came and went, my last boyfriend who was much younger than myself passed away from health issues he’d had since childhood. Watching your pieces here means everything, I look forward to your postings and you’ve brought me much joy and laughter and you remind me of my friends I had so long ago. Stay strong, thanks again for everything you do here and take care👍😀
Raven… we’re of the same generation and, like you, living vicariously. I’m a survivor too and the only of my group that survived. Enjoying Ethan’s adventures.
I am a 62 yr old granma(yes, 62) and I enjoy watching your vids. Your positivism provokes a sunny feeling. I think your age, intelligence, and learning experience will eventually get you where you wanna be. on an oasis somewhere
Ethan, NEVER ignore a noise and assume it will never go away. It often starts taking out other components, and costs you more, but most of all can be dangerous. Hang in there.
Dude.. you deal with life's SH*T better than anyone I've ever seen - so you're allowed to be a little bit negative once in a while!! You are a ROCK of Gibraltar! Also, your hair looks fantastic!!
Ethan, at any RV supply store, or even in the RV supplies aisle at Walmart, for about $5 you can get an adaptor that will plug into the round 30 amp, 3 prong female outlet at the power pedestal at your campsite. Then a regular heavy duty, outdoor extension cord can be plugged into the adaptor, and voila! You've got power.
As a general rule, (some) motors don't "like" running on long extension cords. The voltage drop can be a problem if it gets too high. Also, many motors might need 3x the normal running power to get it started (even more voltage droop). So, when buying an extension cord, get one with large AWG diameter copper conductors. 12 is larger than 14, 10 is larger than 12, etc... For 100-foot, 12 AWG should be fine for about 20 amps. Note: Google "extension cord voltage drop calculator", but a good rule of thumb is to keep the voltage drop under about 5% drop.
Give yourself some love/grace. It is human to vent, to lament, and to share your experience. It is that authenticity and display of beautiful humanity that caused me to stop and tune in. Thanks for that. I hope your days are getting better and having great experiences! I'm subscribed!
You sure experience some troubling times but are always positive and deal with it. It's great you have Peachy by your side for friendship and comfort. You haircut suits you and makes you more handsome. Continue to take care Ethan. 🤗🤗
I was shocked when Ethan said he does not have shore power ability. Ethan, you need to get that corrected. That was one of the first things you should have done as soon as you got the camper.
I am so glad I found your channel. In 1979, my boyfriend and I took off driving around the Untied States in my 1977 Customized Dodge Van. We were gone for a year and the memories are some of the most precious in my mind. There were so many people we met, places we seen and experiences that that we shared. It led me to a career of driving semi-tractor trailer, tour busses and eventually transportation management. I too am living vicariously (actually re-living) through your adventures. Thank you for sharing! (BTW, I'm also a professional videographer and have a full editing studio if you ever need help)
Ethan I've been watching your videos over the last several months getting to know your channel. I have to say that you've been faced with several situations from being stuck to issue with your camper and now your vehicle. I can understand how these things can cause your anxiety. Like others who have commented you overcome it and just continue to move forward. Its ok to have negativity every now and then. That's a part of being a person and living life to the fullest. I truly commend you. Your doing something you love and have a fan base that supports what you do. Continue making awesome videos.
Ethan, when you're down and at the bottom, there is only one way to go, and that's up. The best thing is that you have an awesome following, and they help you continue on your journey. Keep on doing what you love as long as you can. Always looking forward to your next post and update on what's happening in your world. Will you be getting to the south this winter? Arkansas usually isn't too bad in the winter. Be careful and stay safe out there, Ethan. ❤ yes, I got through the whole video, so here's a heart for you.
This makes me smile. Not for the troubles you encountered, but how you navigated through them. Mechanical things break down over time. You've been traveling a lot. It was bound to happen. I love the way you worked through it all. ❤
Your channel gives me hope. You go through so much and still come out the otherside better than ever. Your a good looking, talented man. Thank you for all you do.
Exactly, you’re surviving and getting yourself through all this tough stuff. You’re self-sufficient and quite accommodating to what ever life throws at you. You’re doing well!
lol, this is just part of owning a big truck, or any car. They all break down, they all need fixing, they all cost money. Is no different than a kitchen sponge, eventually it wears out and you go buy a new one.

You would be welcome 🤗
Please don’t feel bad, your not nagging or complaining, you’re a remarkably resilient person for everything you go through. I hope for nothing but the best on your travels 🤗
Your haircut looks great. It does seem that the last few videos have been nothing but challenges but you kept your cool and dealt with each one of them. You're so resourceful and full of positivity.
I agree our young 'Nomad Lad' has it bad! Luck that is. I'm afraid to watch the rest, I stopped to peruse the comments at the parked in shade and 57% bat left on phone.... Here you said the nicest thing about Ethan, he has determination in Spades.
Ethan, you are not a Negative Nancy! You are extraordinarily resilient and adaptable. My brother does auto repairs and you would not believe how long it takes to source some parts - and how often the wrong parts turn up and have to be returned and reordered. Get some shore cabling refitted and stay safe. Us oldies are living our lives again vicariously through you. Don't get old - it sucks!
Hey Ethan. Sorry you have had to deal with so many problems recently. It is amazing how you keep such a good attitude and just do what you have to do. Hope things are get better for you and I look forward to your next video!
Your not being a Negative Nancy, you're just living life taking the hits as they come. You actually are very calm & grounded. Most people would have gone outside & scream at top of their lungs & throw things around. Happy travels
You're not a "Negative Nancy"! You encounter adversity and, through your tenacity, you get through it and share your joy. Keep doing what you're doing, you beautiful man. ♥️
Love your channel. I haven't read all the comments but am surprized that nobody picked up on the name "James". As a fellow James I wish I still had your youth, enthusiasm for life and get up and go. Not to mention countless other very admirable qualities. Keep up the good work and take care.
I think that a lot of nomads don't realize that when it comes to their vehicles, stuff breaks! And it never breaks at a "good" time. And it's almost never cheap. Glad you were able to get the driveshaft fixed up, sorry it was so expensive.
I feel for you!.. I'm sharing in your bad week, one thing after the next. But seeing how positive you are through everything. You are a shining star, in the face of difficulty. Best of luck!
Hey Ethan, sorry to hear your having problems with your truck, hope it is fixed now. You should have stopped here in Arkansas and overwintered here where you have a sister. I live on a remote mountain top near Russellville that has an airstrip that Hannah could visit up here also, which I mention to Hannah once after she visited Arkansas with her friend. Been watching you the past couple of years and always enjoy your posts. Let us know if you got your truck fixed please.
Recently found your channel and been straight bingeing it for a few days. Your last few videos are seriously stressing me out though. I'm legit worried about some random kid on the other side of the planet, so thanks for that! Anyways, love your content, love peaches. Keep being a masterpiece in a world of copies!
Ethan, you are awesome. I admire the positive attitude that you have when dealing with difficult situations. Not only that, you are dealing with these things alone, which shows what a strong person you are. I wish there were more people in this world like you. I think your haircut looks great!
Ethan, As a full-time RVer it's not negative at all it's reality. My motorhome is 35' and it's very hard when you have a breakdown to find a place to work on it. I am going on two weeks now of being broke down but hopefully will be back on the road this next week. It's all about the adventure😊 Cheers
The hair looks great! Well done on getting through all that - life sucks sometimes and you just have to put your head down and plow on. It gets better. Love your work, sweetie
Love your updates. I'm sorry that you're having so much trouble with your camper and truck. As my mother always used to say, "this, too, shall pass". Just keep your chin up and keep plugging along.
I enjoyed watchin this video and you're a heck of a good sport, man. You're a trooper, I hope you get a nice lil break from all the rough patches soon, friend. Be safe.
Thanks, Ethan, many of us are dealing with difficult times and situations and I've taken so much inspiration from you on how you deal with things. It might be super stressful but you always do what you have to and get things done. I'm trying really hard to be more like you!
Extension cords are really a great idea. You may not have the ability to plug everything in but it is better than sitting in the dark parked next to a power source. Good Luck with the truck. 🥰♥
I have to say your resilience and resolve are better than mine. In this upload you seemed to have one thing after another. Proud of you for keeping it together. I have said in previous comments but I'm a nurse, stuck in a hospital most days so can't be free. I live vicariously through you 🤣 In saying that all walks of life bring there challenges. I just started an advanced RN practitioner role 9 months ago and it's a struggle. Been a stress fest getting additional coaching. I wish I had your upbeat mentality as I often feel wiped out emotionally, physically and mentally. Keep being fabulous.❤
Ethan, If your brakes are making that noise that means that your brakes are very warn down and need replaced as soon as possible, its dangerous to keep driving with them like that. Good Luck with them............
Im glad you got your truck fixed . Hopefully the bad things are behind you now and great things are to come. My thoughts are with you for safe travels.
Yeah, I'm a little surprised he did that. Those of us who have been around here for awhile know that Ethan is his middle name. I think that's cool because I don't use my first name either, except to sign checks, etc. But when I'm dealing with trades people I still use my middle name. They don't care what your name is as long as your money is good.
Just wanted to say hello, and was sorry to hear about your truck issues hi too I’m going through many issues with my own truck although it’s still runs fine just a lot of issues but I love it too much to get rid of it. I just got around to subscribing to your videos cause I just discovered I’m not that long ago and since I have I think I’ve watched just about every single one. I really enjoy watching. I’m 29 years old. I live in Oklahoma. I think what you’re doing is awesome, I always thought I wouldn’t get to do something like that till I retire. Keep it up and good luck and God bless.
Peachy is just doing her job, It's not easy keeping a 24/7 vigil so as to protect you from the "Magic Squirrel" in the "Magic Squirrel Tree"! Good Luck and take care. ❤
Ethan , if I knew , I live outside jackson , would had you come to my property, you could stayed while we got you repaired . Peaches would had a blast with squirrels. Man I hate your troubles. Hope you loved our road construction from hell . Jackson is home of Elvis high school girlfriend, Carl Perkins who taught him rockabilly , & Casey Jones who saved 100 lives from 2 trains crashing . Lots of history plus you missed Tina Turner, Loretta Lynn would been great campground to visited on your way to Nashville.
Nice to see an update but sorry you had to go through all of that. Just stay safe. Once I get a car I'll be doing a lot of road trips so it'll be nice to meet up and hang out with people who live this life. Can't wait to see your next updates.
Ethan, you need to learn how to do essential checks and maintenance. You can see the disks and pads through the wheel to a large degree. But, you need to be able to jack the truck, remove the wheel, inspect and replace the pads yourself. At any point in time, you should know roughly how much pad life you have left, don't leave this type of thing to chance. You can buy new pads from any auto shop, and fit them yourself.
@@Miner-49 I was aware of this, and you are correct. But, my advice is sound advice and it is essential for anyone in Ethan's position to attain the skills.
That sounds intense! 😳 Truck camping in Memphis must’ve been a wild experience, but $8k in damage?! Yikes! Glad you're safe, though-hope things are better now! 🚚🌧️
Ethan, you’ve been breaking down in every way possible. You either need a new camper, one that doesn’t leak when it rains. Or you need to go home and regroup to figure out when is it best, and safe, to go back onto the rough rider roads where you are constantly getting stuck in the mud. Thank god no serial killers are out there. You will run, get back to the camper, start her up and be out of gas just 5 miles away.
To the nervous Nellies on here that lose their panties every time something goes wrong with the truck, or the kid has some kind of mini crisis, try to remember that this is a good portion of his content. Half the fun is watching our boy sidestep another disaster, and come out with a smile on his face. So chill.
The way you cope with everything in such a sunny and positive way is nothing but admirable, and your videos are always enjoyable, especially as you're such a cute young guy. I wish I was 35 years younger and American, I 'd certainly volunteer to show you a thing or two!
Hey Ethan...haircut looks great. Seriously, shorter bangs work well on you. Sorry to hear about all the troubles. Somehow I think you are the guy that can handle it. LOVE how you just roll with the punches. Love watching the vids. Keep up the great work...enjoy life Dude!!!!!!!!

I was shocked when Ethan said he does not have shore power ability. Ethan, you need to get that corrected. That was one of the first things you should have done as soon as you got the camper.
even just an extension cable and multi socket is a way to start
The power bank battery thing should have the ability to charge from the mains supply. A look on the manufacturer’s website should get the right cable!

It wasn’t the brake pads that were bad. The mechanic told what the problem was.
@@Miner-49 I was aware of this, and you are correct. But, my advice is sound advice and it is essential for anyone in Ethan's position to attain the skills.
Heart emoji!! Dude, I hope it gets better for you. You are much too cute to go through all this. Stay amazing and best wishes!
No offence but you are one of the unluckiest people ever lmao 🤣🙏
Great video and good luck, keep slaying Ethan 🌟
Stuff breaks when you are actually using it. It comes with the territory.
Oh sweetie I hope this is the end of your troubles. Keep your chin up and travel safely! Love your vids!!
To the nervous Nellies on here that lose their panties every time something goes wrong with the truck, or the kid has some kind of mini crisis, try to remember that this is a good portion of his content. Half the fun is watching our boy sidestep another disaster, and come out with a smile on his face. So chill.
We all seem to go through phases in life. Goes good for so long then a bad time that seems to not end. Very happy you got your truck fixed.
I like your negative videos . Life is NOT a bowl of cherries . It’s been a tough week for many of us !
Sorry to hear you’re having some dips in the road. I just love watching you whatever you’re doing.❤
Dude head West...as a gay man that travels alone leave red states behind. BE SAFE!
Now is the ideal time to travel red before the changes happen, if they do.
@@tropperjon33 I guess, but why support these red states...I'm using the map of the electoral college as my travel guide within the US.
You are amazing that you find joy in each day. So go, make tomorrow great. I know you can do it.
Ethan! Do not let things get in your head! Life is beautiful, and sometimes things dont go the way we would like.
Maybe you should come to Arizona!
Yikes! I hope things get better. ( sending good vibes your way! );
I love your videos. You don't need to apologize for anything. I love to see you😊
The squeaky sounds when you were loosening the camper were hilarious. Made my dog bark too
Hope things go better for you Ethan
The way you cope with everything in such a sunny and positive way is nothing but admirable, and your videos are always enjoyable, especially as you're such a cute young guy. I wish I was 35 years younger and American, I 'd certainly volunteer to show you a thing or two!
You did the best. So in future you ll get it without losing your humour. Happy new year with good fortune!
❤ I'm hoping things go in an upward direction from now on Ethan.
Hate it when those things happen. You are a flexible traveler and persisient for sure!
Haircut looks good. Life is just a series of sorting out constant issues. Trust me things always all go wrong at once.
Things will get better!❤
Sorry for the truck issues, it’s saying it can’t take those back trails anymore. I wish you better days ahead. Big hugs. 🤗 ❤
