Natural Light Photoshoot... Today's Guest: Josephine Ray

- For this new episode of my Natural light Photoshoot series, I headed to Venice Beach, California on a hot, bright summer day and we started shooting at around 12:30 pm. A nightmare for many, as I have heard so many times... Shooting in full sun has it's challenges, but personally, I love it!
It was so great to work with Zuri Model, Josephine Ray, on this shoot! She has one of the most beautiful smiles, the most perfect pout and such beautiful features! We quickly connected and it was fun to walk around together looking for a few fun backdrops to use. I truly had a blast with her! Please make sure to follow her on Instagram: / josierayyy
It was awesome to have my sister with me doing the behind the scenes videos for this episode. She is SO good at it, so creative and her presence puts me at ease. I had worked with another model at that location and wished I had a good video of it to share, so I decided to almost kind of recreate the shoot so that I could capture some of vibe.
Yet again... A little note on being on-camera. I hate it! So incredibly much! It's really hard for me to remember to pause my train of thought while I'm in the middle of shooting to explain what it is that I am doing. But I promise that I am trying to get better!
So I'd love to hear from you on what you'd like to see more in these videos so that I can work on better content for you.

Recently discovered your channel Amanda. This is the third video Ive watched, just gets better and better. Goes to show everyone how minimalist gear with the right knowledge and experience can create stunning images. Josie was great. To help with content, perhaps think why am I putting the model here, why am I doing such and such and explain that. A comparison of tight shoulder, relax your shoulder etc. ? All the same I have learnt so much watching these. Fantastic work recording these too, sis!
