Modernization of the Marine Corps Reserve - Ігри
Semper Fi. Thanks for the great information Gentlemen!

Est-ce que le Sergent Major Carlos Ruiz parle Français ?
I appreciate that both leaders are taking their time to answer some important questions that Marines in the reserve have been talking about.
Growing up with a marine father was rough any problem that I had he would always say improvise adapt overcome he wouldn't do anything to help me I had to work it out myself which turn me into a strong man I love my dad for being such a hard-ass😊😊
Sgt Maj. Ruiz was my kill hat drill instructor many years ago. Outstanding Marine and the best drill cadence caller I’ve ever heard.
He was very firm, but fair. And was a drill instructor that actually took the effort to truly teach you how to act and carry yourself as a Marine.
Wow!!! What a great conversation and the ideas are ground breaking and exciting! sf
Thank you Gents for the great information. I really love seeing this. Semper Fi!!!
Was worried about marine forces reserves. They clarified everything I needed to know. Will be signing up once that program is available
Something they mentioned: take that SSGT and 18 Marines. Send them to Columbia with a mission set and limits.
I’m starting to realize that’s what FD 2030 is all about. Being able to take a SSGT or 1st LT and send them out to act, independently, in an isolated environment where their own lives are on the line. I think it’s fantastic and truly an opportunity for Marines to show that tenacity and initiative.
A Marine in combat next to his team leader, squad leader, PL, and CO is going to wait for instruction. A Marine in combat next to his buddy is going to drop bodies without asking permission.
Maybe after 6 years, I might get a chance to go somewhere. Ive always wanted to know if I’d ever get a chance to go active or AR. Nice to know there’s some hope now. Thanks gentlemen.

You can also find a wide range of billet opportunities on our website, at www.marforres.marines.mil/Billets/
2-3 days of 8-16 hours is not enough time to get all paperwork BS done that is necessary for a bureaucratic nightmare that is the modern military. ... let alone competently train an MOS.
Model needs to be 1 solid week every quarter or two weeks twice a year with say a day of admin stand down BS every month. Both models need to be room and board at wherever training element is.... or preferably field conditions.
90% of Reserve experience is cleaning and recleaning some bay somewhere. The actual job training was miniscule in comparison to admin paperwork or medical data collection
Can't believe this gem of a comment doesn't have more comments or likes. Spot on.
This MARFORRES seems to be worlds different than the Marine Corps reserve of 1987-1992!!!!!
The reserve components were pretty much a drinking weekend club prior to the GWOT. My local NG armory had a bar/poor house lol.
@@EmperorSenateDamn y'all were lucky 😂 it sure as hell ain't like that today
2 years late instead of the 15mins prior to the 15mins. Yet better late than never. SEMPER FI GENTLEMAN.
3/5 GET SOME SGTMAJ
In the Marine Reserves Infantry how often is specific drilling for your MOS really done and are there a lot of opportunities to volunteer for training experience or schools?
One weekend per month and two weeks per year. Deployment and training opportunities are always available, and can be found here: bit.ly/3vYkTlZ
Does this mean it’s possible for us to see marsoc allowing reserve marines enlisted and officer to try out for marsoc or the soc pipeline soon
A lot of guys throughout the reserves would love to see this instead of feeling like the only way to go spec ops in the reserves is to go into the national guard sf
If I were in the Marine Reserves Infantry, should I do it before college or after
You should probably do it during lol
Do it during. Get through your boot camp, SOI, and buckle down in college. Then reassess where you are. Do you want to go to more training, school, etc? Talk to your senior Marines and leaders. Get different perspectives.
In the marine reserves infantry, can we volunteer to deploy and get experienced?
Absolutely. Work through your local chain of command, first and foremost. After that the MARFORRES AAU is a great place for deployment options and opportunities.

Can marine officers go reserve?
Absolutely!
It's ONE MEF, TWO MEF, III MEF versus 1st MEF, 2nd MEF, 3D MEF
I'm so proud of what you're doing young man, But sometimes people really need to know the truth!!! AND I REALLY DON'T LIKE WHEN PEOPLE SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
👏👏🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿
Manionggor: You should prepare for that submarine, sir. tommy have a requested for you when he is gonna make it like Submarine Missile. Make that Submarine most of it.
So when somebody picks up your mo such as I'd tags and walks off.and fortes therselfs with fact of fiction.and wow the attribute.sonlike i set my I'd down on the ground and it says jarhead on it,and states my name as --walker Wich i contribute to and i saw that and didn't feel like asking for those because of the way all that was and didn't ask for feplacemyeither.he says let's see how far he actually goes with those.and when forte means so much to be likewise.and man i so walked off when i saw that.i thought wow.and another says jus go to the dog tag center in the store and have one made.and i said no thank you.waited for those to be returned too.
3/4 Hawthorne to Helmand 😉.
Nobody touch my gomer pyle he was backbone of corp, me I don't have a firearms licence
Modernization is good. I remember scraping wax off of the floor boards of a demolished building since command had nothing better for us to do. I view my service mostly as a waste of time.
