Number of grains do provide powerful shots and good pinch. Why? Its science, you can try this your own, try breaking one stick from your hand and it will easily break, then try breaking 2 sticks, 3 sticks, 4 sticks 8 sticks or more and see what you experience? How straight and clean they are , u need to factor that in.
Always prioritise ping, balance,pick up and profile + knock your bat and regularly oil your bat with linseed oil to soften the fibres for good ping
