The creators should've studied about Brittle Bones Disease bit more when creating Betty's character. It's genetical ailment which affects your bone density since birth. You don't just get brittly bones at 8yo etc. and start breaking them easily. BBD also causes bone growth abnormalities so people with Brittle Bones Disease have unusually short limbs and barrel-like chest with very short neck. Betty looks like average ~10yo who broke both her shin bones when jumping off high swing and has to sit in wheelchair for awhile, not a girl with BBD
