When my Mom and my sister and I ate at Woolworth's 5&10,we'd pop a balloon to find out what price we;d pay for a "C.M.P."( chocolate, marshmallow, peanut sundae). I think the year was approximately 1962,or so. My balloon had 10c !!! I haven't been that lucky in a long time! Really enjoy your channel. It's so relaxing!
I lovelovelove MY lil Debbie…she’s my baby sister! 10 years younger than my twin sister and me but she’s still my lil Debbie …too bad she’s lives in Montana and I’m in Illinois….but we talk every day! Bytheby…the fall colors are MADE for you! 😘
Nanny, I love your front door & the wreath on it! I used to eat Woolworths strawberry pie, when I went there, so yummy! Love your fashions!! Love the white suit! Love the cropp pants that go with it!! Enjoyed so much!!!
What I wouldn’t give for a REAL…I mean REAL malt! I remember Woolworth’s malts VERY well…yummy! What the kids THINK is malt nowadays is 😝compared to what we were used to. I took my grandson out for one a few weeks ago…and NOPE…no malted milk powder in that “thing”! Do you remember when we could buy malt tablets?? They looked like a huge aspirin and you could just chew them? They even came in a bottle that looked like an aspirin bottle…YUMMY…we used to love them. Anyone remember those AND a REAL malted milkshake…🤔???
Hi Nanny, I am crazy about your Crushing your 80's videos. You bring a smile to my face with every video I watch and I watch them all. You really are endearing and such a good loving and caring person. I am 80 this past August 2nd and I too feel much younger than my years and feel so blessed to be healthy and alive. You really do have such a sweet and darling face and you are so meaningful when you speak about all of the topics you choose. Thank you so much for bringing happiness into our lives. As for your question about Woolworth's store was so wonderful and had just about anything and everything we ever needed. We would sit at the luncheon counter and usually order their very special Grilled Hot Dogs on their very special buns and a coke. Then we would go out front of the store and have our pictures (4 photos) in that wonderful booth where you and a couple of friends could laugh and smile and have fun having your photo taken. Thanks for the memories. Keep your videos coming - I know it must be a BIG job to keep up but I think they are good for all of us, you included. May God Bless us all! P.S. I love your Red front door and wreath.
Oh Nanny when I was in high school I worked in Woolworth in notions I remember the wood floors and we would go up on our lunch break order our lunch it would come up on a dum weightier . I worked on a Friday after school and all day on Saturday.Yes I watched the Queen’s funeral such a life she had ,great wreath. It’s getting a little more like fall here in NJ still some warm weather 😊 How I love your cottage it’s a little bit of heaven ❤
Nanny , I ate grilled cheese sandwiches 🥪 in my Woolworth in New York and then my mom would let us go see those tiny turtles and Dr Doolittle toys and Mary Poppins book ! Those were the days over 50 years ago!
I remember those days at Woolworths. My cousin and I would walk to town and stop by there for lunch every Saturday. We would have a Coke and an order of french fries. After that we would go into the music section and each buy a 45 vinyl record of the current popular song. I think we each spent 98 cents for lunch and the record. I loved the old creaky wood floors and the smell of the store. That's something that's impossible to enjoy when you are buying from Amazon isn't it?
Yes, Judy…you can’t beat the pleasures of our past shopping experiences…but at 85. now….Amazon will do…if only for saving the gas and conserving energy.❤️
Great video. You are just full of energy. I love it. Thank you for sharing I woke up at 3:00 am and started watching getting ready for the funeral. Queen Elizabeth II will be missed forever. 💜Jeanette Turner
Hi Nannie and Moosey I have been enjoying all your video’s for quite some time . Our beautiful sister of my heart Nathalie the beauty diva and Patti rxmom knew we gals would love you . I can’t express the Joy and excitement you share . This is my first time commenting because I am shy and I think I know you . Without revealing to much personal info I refrained to mention it , however I live and have lived in NJ for 64 yrs . My Grandparents on my Mom’s side and Dad’s too since 1910 . My Uncle had a insurance business for decades in Somerville and that is where My Gran took me to Woolworth’s for shopping and the luncheonette counter as a treat . I am also an equestrian and worked at , well at first mucked and groomed the horses later on to compete in the 4-H shows in Flemington and later became a trainer . I almost fell off my chair seeing your home there because I know it well and always admired it so much . Can you imagine we may have sat next to you at Woolworths !!! I am the elder of the family at 64 our family has had some trials of unfortunate illness but the short time I was blessed to have the best Elders and such beautiful memories of all we shared . I love you both and your beautiful Family . God Bless you All and again thanks for the memories it is a small world for sure . Till we meet again oxoxoxxoxo
Now you have me soooo curious, Doreen….you are 20 years younger than Moosie and I ….I assume you are speaking of the red house in White House Station…did we know each other there? Thank you for being here with us and commenting today…Hugs, ❤️
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose Good Morning Nanny and Moosie yes the red house . We had family friends that lived by the river “ the famous bridge “ and we went to visit weekly and Sundays at the wonderful flea market near the train station . I am older than Dub but I am pretty sure We all rode our horses together and wading in the river with the most wonderful family’s . I am the oldest child and have 3 younger brothers My Mom and Dad would have been your age God rest their Beautiful souls . I also taught summer sewing courses at Singer sewing on main street somerville and was very active in 4H . I am pretty sure I remember your family because when you moved we all missed you . When we were younger as you know I would have greeted you and Moosie as Mr and Mrs . And I was always the oldest child watching all the younger children while ridding or playing together when we went to your neighbors house all the time . I am so curious too . We are catholic as well and went to church there many times before . Did you know monsignor Kroger At Our Lady of Lourdes in Whitehouse Station? He was a family friend as well . I will ask my Aunt Helen she will hopefully remember . How cool is this I am almost positive I remember you your lovely family in the cool red house . God Bless you . We will figure this out my memories of this time in my life are so precious .
I saw that same Woolworth's menu on my feed. It brought back so many memories. We also had a JJ Newberry store in our little town. It also had a soda fountain. My favorite sandwich was the grilled cheese. It was always plated with a dill spear and a few chips on the side. To this day...A grilled cheese sandwich just isn't right unless it has a dill spear with it. I do remember occasionally getting the egg salad. Do you remember how the merchandise was displayed? So different than these days. I have especially fond memories of Christmas. My older sister and I would save our money so that we could go Christmas shopping at Woolworth's. We always got Mother a little cobalt blue bottle of Evening in Paris perfume(I think that was the name if it) and a pretty hanky. We got hankies for Grandmother, Great Aunt Bessie and dear friend..Bossy (Mary Boss) too. If we had to go to the doctor or dentist and we behaved well. Mother would walk us to the Woolworth store (or Newberry store) and we would get to buy one thing that we really wanted. I remember seeing a little brown bear with a rubber face sitting in the store window so I already knew that when it was my time to get something, that would be my choice. The day came...and that little brown Teddy bear became my best friend. I named him Teddy Snowkraut...because I thought that was the name of the little white bear that advertised SNOWCROP Orange juice on the Arthur Godfrey early morning show. I still have Teddy Snowkraut....he has some "age spots" but he is to be laid to rest with me. I love looking at all the nostalgic posts...such wonderful memories...a much gentler time. It was no fun finding out ..that white picket fences actually do get pooped on by the birds🙂 but how blessed I was to grow up in their world....See Spot....See Spot run.💕
Oh what wonderful memories, J….thank you soooo much…Jj Newberry’s was a great favorite of mine, too….Moosie didn’t like the $$ I spent there …always stuff for the babies…❤️
Nanny, I admire you so much. Love your sweet personality and your positive attitude. Please never stop making videos. I always look for your latest video before bedtime at night. Wish we were neighbors!
Lovely varied video Nannie. Thank you for mentioning our dear Queen and her spectacular funeral. London has been so busy these last 10 days, I myself took flowers to lay near Buckingham palace as the police had sectioned it off and you just couldn’t walk up to the gates as usual and the wait to do that was around 4 hours, just to lay flowers so we aborted that idea and lay them nearby. I love your pumpkin ideas and look forward to seeing the mantelpiece dressed out for fall. 🌸
Being from NE Pa, our experiences were probably similar. I loved going to Woolworth’s and have Pizza and a Coke. Good memories when I was young and at the age where my girlfriend and I could go by ourselves and feel so big. ❤️
Oh boy…those were the days,Maria…my friend, Meryl and I rode the trolley on Bloomfield Avenue from Montclair down to Newark to shop in Kresge’s Dept. store…ALL ALONE AT 12! ❤️
I love your fall wardrobe ideas and I am happy to see how enthusiastic you are about life and all the things you get up to. Having and making plans always keeps one moving forward and enjoying life. I wish your grandson and granddaughter well in their studies. I know you and Moosie will miss spending time with them as they focus on studies for awhile. I'm sure Brendan loved the salad you made for him before he heads off to college. God bless.

My favorite Woolworths counter meal was a BLT followed by a hot fudge sundae!…also, remember the little ice cream sandwiches they had in a cart and assembled them at the cart - they sliced off a 2-inch by 4-inch square of frozen Neapolitan ice cream and put it between two wafers made of same material cones were made from. Wow, what a blast from the past … strolling into Woolworth’s on Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, Florida.❤
I love your style of clothing. And, I like the fact that you shop at Walmart, Big Lots, and thrift shops, like I do. Lots of hidden treasures there. Your videos are always so quirky and fun.
When I began driving at age 16, I would drive myself to Woolworth's to have lunch at the food counter. I like your variety of fall clothes. Your cream suit, very nice....
Hi Nanny, I remember shopping trips to Texarkana for back to school clothes for my Mom (she was a teacher) and myself. We always had lunch at Woolworth’s. I can’t recall what we ate but I do remember cherry lime sodas made with freshly squeezed limes and maraschino cherries. So good! Don’t forget about your fall pants sets you showed up earlier this summer. Blessings to you and Moosie and your family❣️
“Red door “ remember the “RedDiir” salon in NYC ???? We had a Woolworths on main st Madison NJ I remember going to Christmas shop as a kid😏Love my Nanny fix every chance I get sending good thoughts and autum breezes 🍁🍁Jane from the Jersey Shore
The NYC Red Door was Elizabeth Arden Beauty Salon. wasn’t it Jane? Always wondered what it would be like to go in for a facial or massage…..BTW…my younger brother lives in Madison…do you still live there?❤️
Yes Nanny my favourite was a savoury roll delicious filling, does anyone remember having a savour roll served warm I think it might have been a sausage meat filling soo tasty from Woolworths every Saturday down Holloway Road north London UK 🇬🇧 ❤
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose yes Nanny I had great experiences for the Woolworths growing up in Dublin In Ireland 🇮🇪 the living London,I would go shopping with my Mammy every Saturday in Moor street then pick&mix sweet’s&big bag of Jacobs broken biscuits from Woolworths ahh happy memories from way back 🥰.Thank you Nanny&Moosie for giving us the opportunity to go down memory lane together Love&hugs always Pat&Reynold xxx 😘😘🙏❤️🙏🌹🌹🌹
Lovely today Nanny! We've always loved Little Debbie's but rarely buy due to the sugar. Favorites for me: oatmeal cream pie & nutty bars (I think that's what they're called.) And yes we got up early to watch the entire service. The carpet of flowers on the "long walk" for burial service. Seeing Emma on the side made me cry. Off on 10 day trip to visit mom ( 400 mi drive) then up to see daughter (200 mi) for her birthday. Then 350 miles bk home. Good thing gas prices are down!
@@rhondaandrews613 I know! But my mom's been sick so I'm trying to go down to check on her 1x/month... and we haven't seen grandkids since July. When we get home it's back to work 😕
All the downstairs were fallout shelters. Funny, I was just telling my grandkids about our school drills…60s when we had to get under our desks , hands over and under our head. Loved Woolworths and the chocolate shakes. Lunch with my Mom I had forgotten about too. You heighten my life! I need a hip replacement and spend my time immobile for now. You inspire me and give me hope. Long way to go, only 65…Thank you to you and Moosie. The Chunky Guru
Sending good thoughts and prayers for your hip replacement, Jennie…my Daughter had it done and she’s soooo glad she did! Those darn hips don’t last like they should…I’m keeping my fingers crossed!🥰❤️
Mary Ellen ,you are such an inspiration,l just love your red door ,how amazing does it look .it reminds me of Narnia ,you never know what’s behind the door ,well Nana & moose of course .
I just want to say hello, i'm not always put a comment, but do watch your video's, they are so much fun and inspirational!! much love to you sweet Nanny and Moose, 💞 Conny from Belgium 🌺🤗
There is an old Woolworths building in Bakersfield. I was traveling through and saw it. We went inside and it's now an antique store but it still has the original counter serving food. We sat and had lunch there. It was really nostalgic and brought me back to my youth.
Hi Nanny, always a pleasure to view your videos from the back ground music to the contents, so refreshing and always relaxing. My safe place to go to and just so relaxing to listen to with you as you have such a comforting voice . Love your smart white jacket, small carry pursed ( mt favorite purse the smart camel /black one .As for me , I preferred wreath no2 looked best on your beautifully painted red front door that you newly refreshed. BTW good news, could not hear the small fan in the background. Brandon is in for a treat as your macaroni salad looks delicious. Your grand kids are so blessed to have such a kind and giving grandma. I am sure Moose is also a great and kind grandpa to . It was very nice and nostalgic to view the old Woolworth menu. When small I loved hot dogs all dressed, or a smoked meet sandwich, a coca cola and banana splits. Best regard to you and your Moose. 🍃🍎🍃🍎🍃🍎🍃
Nanny, When I was young, I went to Woolworths almost every Saturday with my mother. My favorite was the hot apple dumpling topped with a sweet white sauce. I think it was around 25 cents in the late 50's to the mid 60's. They were so delicious. 😊 Agnes
We are going through 2 more days of 90s here in Indiana - then I think the cooler temps will enter - even into the 40s at night which is such good sleeping weather! I remember our local department store had wooden floors - loved that creaking sound - and Buster Brown shoes!
Beautiful video with all the fall clothes. I remember going into Portland, Oregon, to a drug store. I don’t know if it was a Woolworth’s, but it had the best tuna salad sandwiches! I think it was the sweet pickles. It was 1949 when we lived there. What wonderful memories!👍🏻💕🙏🏻🇺🇸
Can't wait to see your fall fashion show. I love all your accessories! Your front door is gorgeous! You are so good at everything you do! I know the things you do are not easy, since I've tried some of them 🙃but you make everything look doable, which inspires me to try new things! Seeing the different ways you do your hair sent me to Amazon looking for some kind of something I can use to help style my hair as I'm letting it grow out some. I found a " stretchy double hair side comb" 🤔😊. It's for updos, which is not for me, but I'm thinking it might look good holding both sides back and to the center. I hope they'll work because I'm seeing quite a few I like. I always enjoy hearing about or seeing your family. And your last video, with you & Moosie with all the little ones, was precious. Loved the song the two of you sang ❤as in the song EVIDENCE by Josh Baldwin, I see the evidence of God's goodness all over your life, and it warms my ❤
So glad you are okayHi whe I saw the word fall I thought you had fallen over,as we say Autumn in , England so glad you are okay😂 it is a year this week since we lost our Queen😢.Loved your clothes.❤
I remember Woolworth in Hawaii and Oregon later. Tuna sandwiches were my favorite. For your pumpkins, use Chalk Paint at Walmart. Also, Dollar store has cement, foam, glass and ceramic pumpkins. Bring the wreath down a bit on the door. Love your program.
I did not eat lunch at a Woolworths when I was young. We did not shop there much because it was an hour away from Paso Robles, Ca where we lived. The only time I have eaten lunch at a Woolworths lunch counter was after Woolworths closed but they still had the lunch counter open. The store part had turned into an antique store which I loved to shop at. Just this year, it all closed down. They are promising to reopen the lunch counter when the building reopens. I hope it is just the same food. We loved the hamburgers and french fries there. My husband loves Little Debbie's Nutty Buddies. He can no longer eat them though. We had a Rasco's where we lived and I remember being my two cousins and I being "good" while we waited for my Mom at the doctor's office. She took us to Rasco's and bought us a bunch of little toys to play with. I love your door and wreath. Also, the way your pumpkins have faded is gorgeous. Your comfy clothes are fabulous!
Nanny. I have my granny's hair comb from 1913. It was a Spanish style, tortoise shell color with blue tiny crystals on it. She was 13. It's so pretty. I love your fall color clothes, and your door and garden look wonderful. I need your energy. I have a treadmill, so I walk on it while watching you. It makes the treadmill walking go by faster and more pleasant. Being a cardiac patient, I need to walk and where I live is too hilly. Don't you just love the cooler weather? Since I retired, I haven't been able to see any of my coworkers. I'm going to see some of the girls from St Jude Saturday for a wedding shower. So excited. I'm an hour away from the hospital, so I don't tackel the freeways much anymore but I will this time. They are all still working so I can get all the scoop on what's going on. Ha ha I too miss getting out and I need to do more with the fall season coming. So glad you are getting out more. I too watched the Queens funeral. So beautiful. The Corgies and Emma the horse made me cry. They will miss her too. Blessings to you and Moose.
I remember Woolworths Five & Dime, it was my very first job in Baltimore City on The Avenue at 15 yrs old and my blue smock. Me and my Grandmom would go there and get soup and my favorite Strawberry Short Cake! I worked in the Cosmetics Dept of course my favorite area and we sold FlameGlo makeup and lipsticks oh my how i loved that and my counter was the prettiest and clean. What great fun. Do you remember FlameGlo Makeup a lot of soft pinks then around Twiggy's time. Great memories!
Greetings Nanny! Oh what fun! Yes, Woolworths, Kress, etc.! My favorite at the counter was chocolate ice cream soda. Do they even make those anymore? I love your fall capsule wardrobe and your fall decor! You definitely have it all together for fall! See you soon! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Oh my goodness, Woolworth smh. In Houston Texas downtown had the most awesome biscuits. As good as homemade. Thank you for this memory 😍 and yes my eyes water too... especially in the car AC. 🥲 I enjoyed your video. Thank you!
Good afternoon Nanny! Yes, as a kids, Mama would take me sister and I to Woolworth’s store. Egg salad and grilled cheese were favorites! Those were the good ole days! I like the Little Debbie oatmeal crème cookies and the pinwheels, too. Thank you for reminding me of childhood memories! I was thinking why not leave your pumpkins in their naturally aged state. Maybe just add some moss or a leaf to the tops! You’re going to look fabulous in your Fall wardrobe! 🍁💕
I used to go after school and had hot fudge sundae or French fries and cake. Junior high. Southern Wisconsin. Woolworth was right at the corner of the main downtown street and Rock river. Memories.
Dear Nanny, your Fall wardrobe is very pretty. You can pull off anything! As I have said previously, you are a fashionista. My husband loved those colors. Warm colors. I like cool colors. Navy, burgundy (with a bluish tint), rose etc. Thursday is the first day of Fall and it finally feels like it. However, they are saying that by Monday it will be hot again…Ugg! Your door looks so pretty! I like the wreath that you chose. I too woke up in the middle of the night to watch the Queen’s funeral. I was very touched by the pony and corgis. Animals grieve for the family that they lose. She was a wise, strong, brave and gracious lady. I have the utmost respect for her. It was wonderful to see the outpouring of love for her. I have a story to share another time about animals and grief. I used to love Woolworths. I liked the grilled cheese sandwich and a malt. There is a Facebook channel that has all old recipes. They have shown some from Woolworth. Little Debbie has some delicious treats. I used to put them in my children’s lunch as well. They are just the right size. Recently I bought their Cosmic brownies. They are very chocolatey and moist. Your pasta salad looks so delicious. I did try the recipe a while back and it is a meal! I just had crackers and iced tea with it. I smiled when you mentioned foot ball. I had no idea how important high school football is. My granddaughter is a cheerleader for St. John Bosco football team. You or Brandon probably know them. A few weeks ago their family traveled to Texas for a game. Bosco won and is on their way to winning this year. That is when they told me about high school football. Wow, when I was in school it was for fun. In Texas football is a religion…lol. I had no idea! Did Brandon play? I know how much you will miss him. I am so glad that you and Moose are able to spend time with family. What joy it brings. Stay cool and safe this week. Blessings to you both, love, Sharon
All of our sons and grandsons went to Servite, Sharon…,and Bosco was a rival….Our daughter, Dub was a Servite cheerleader in the late 70’s…..great memories…we still root for them. Brendan was a basketball player…thanks for always commenting and I’ll wait for you animal grief story…hugs, ❤️
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose oh dear Nanny, so you know Bosco. My granddaughter goes to St. Joseph which is all girls and Bosco is all boys. I am learning about high school sports. My daughter was a classical pianist and my son rode BMX. That is why this is new to me. Besides that was many years ago as you said with Dub.
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose My dog Molly’s story. When my husband passed I could not have him taken from the house until my family arrived and I was ready. Hospice was there as was the caregiver company management. After a little while I thought that Molly should say goodbye. I had heard that a pet would wander to find their person. So I lifted her onto his chest. She sniffed his nose and mouth then sat back. She knew that he was no longer with us. She opened her mouth and a clear liquid fell into my hand. Not thick like saliva, like tears. She had said goodbye. She never looked for him after that. I later thought that perhaps I had imagined it. I spoke with the persons who also saw it they confirmed that Molly had simply opened her mouth and what appeared to be tears came out. I have asked that she be allowed to say goodbye to me as well. I don’t want her wandering to try to find me. I had told a friend to allow her dog to say goodbye to the other dog when it was time. She said that she couldn’t. The other dog tried everything to go find it’s friend. I know that this sounds unusual, however there are witnesses and Molly accepted that he was gone. Animals are much smarter and more intuitive than many people think. This is a sensitive story to me, however seeing the Queen’s animals at her funeral yesterday brought this to mind. I wanted to share with you. Love, Sharon
I remember Woolworth’s. My parents would take us to Saunder’s. They had hot fudge cream puffs to die for!!! You can still buy the hot fudge and Carmel sauces but the store’s went away about 15 years ago. They had a lunch counter and we did have sandwiches there but it was this hot fudge cream puffs that you would ask for first! Lovely memories of childhood.
Hello Nanny 👋 I admire you so much and I do take your lead and sound advice on makeup 💄 and being your best at my age of 78 yrs. You make me feel young thank you💓
We love the Little Debbie cinnamon rolls, too! When traveling in our RV, we always have some on hand. On travel days when we want to get up and get on the road, a cinnamon roll and a cup of coffee is our go-to quickie breakfast. Loved the fall fashions. The camel color looks so pretty on you.
I used to eat sloppy joes at Kresge’s. I found all of my tortoiseshell jewelry and put it out so I wouldn’t forget. Also I have a lot of Amber rings. My birthday is topaz and It can be blue or brown or yellow.
Thank you Nanny, I worked in Woolworth on the weekend when I was 13 and the following summer they hired me to work on the soda fountain on the weekends and I used to run it my self on Friday nights. It was fun I made so many Sodas and milkshakes and they used to bake their own apple pie. I am going to go through my purses and pick out Fall ones too. Hugs Bea
I loved your door and your Fall clothes. The wreath you put on the door was my favorite too. Great video. I am glad you are seeing your family again. So important. 🥰
You look great in white suit Alittle tidbit on Debbie’s years back you could order a glass cookie jar with Debbie’s name on it Sadly it broke years ago but wish I still had Wonder if anybody on ur channel ever ordered one for $10 Love all your videos ❤️
Your watery eyes could be your eyeliner or mascara. They could be past use time…..3 months. If you get a pack of mascara wands (Amazon). Use those in mascara and discard each time. Ink now it’s just one use but saves the eyes and mascara. You won’t be dipping same original wand and leave in tube with STUFF on it. 💕

In the 70s when I was like 10, 11 my best friend and I use to walk to Woolworth’s and sit at counter with change and eat lunch..fabulous memory! I think your beautiful suit is perfectly acceptable for fall and winter paired with caramel as you have on or browns etc…it looks beautiful on you!

Yes, I do remember Evening in Paris. I can’t remember who made it.. was it Coty ? Pretty sure it wasn’t made by Revlon or Avon..
Yes very much, loved my Evening in Paris perfume back in late fifties early sixties also loved Coty perfume,Thanks for the memory ❤❤️❤️🌹

Yes! It was my mom's favorite in the 40s. I loved the bottle.
My mom also loved
Hipnotique perfume. Not sure of spelling it was on the 60s. I was pregnant and the perfume made me sick. Ha Ha

Hugs to you all, Teeny,,..lil Debbie, too… ❤️
Your front door looks great .Nanny ,you are so real. Love ❤️
As always, you look classy no matter what you put together. I love how you love life ❣️
You made the right choice on the wreath nanny, but I just love the linen jacket, so much my style. Blessing to you all ❤
Nanny, I love your front door & the wreath on it! I used to eat Woolworths strawberry pie, when I went there, so yummy! Love your fashions!! Love the white suit! Love the cropp pants that go with it!! Enjoyed so much!!!
Job well done. Love ❤️ your door 🚪 and wreath is cheerful and beautiful. Have a safe blessed day 🥰💞💞💞
What I wouldn’t give for a REAL…I mean REAL malt!
I don’t remember the tablets but we did buy z hot malted milk powder and make our own shakes, Teeny…❤️
Thank you, Sharon..for your lovely comments…and for the bit of Woolworth’s nostalgia …❤️
Those grilled chees Sammy’s were a fave of mine, too, Gianella…❤️
I loved Hostess chocolate cupcakes! I craved them when I was pregnant back in 1962!😋
Hostess SnoBalls! LOVE them! ❤❤
Great video. You are just full of energy. I love it. Thank you for sharing
I woke up at 3:00 am and started watching getting ready for the funeral. Queen Elizabeth II will be missed forever. 💜Jeanette Turner
Such a delightful part of the day - to be greeted with this. Thank you.
Everything looks so autumnal. Lovely
Thanks, Pat..❤️

Hello Moose and Nanny, I enjoy your videos so much. Love Woolworth,s popcorn. Your cottage is so lovely. God Bless You Both!
Thanks for sharing you news of London at this time, Jacqueline ❤️
God bless.
God bless you, too, Joyful🙏❤️

Love me some Little pennies. Spin wheels and nutty buddies
Great -memories, Patricia,,,thanks foe sharing…❤️
I love your style of clothing. And, I like the fact that you shop at Walmart, Big Lots, and thrift shops, like I do. Lots of hidden treasures there. Your videos are always so quirky and fun.
Thank you, Christine…❤️
My fave at Woolworths were toasted tea cakes, and an orange soda float. ( under a dollar) . Hmmmm……nostalgia !
I remember the stairs!
When I began driving at age 16, I would drive myself to Woolworth's to have lunch at the food counter. I like your variety of fall clothes. Your cream suit, very nice....
Thanks for sharing your memory, Wendy…❤️
❤️✨🥰 I love your energy!
Gorgeous fall clothes!
Yes I remember the food counter.
I’ll be wearing one of those suits tomorrow, GRANDAFLORA…lovely memory of good times with your mom…

Yes Nanny my favourite was a savoury roll delicious filling, does anyone remember having a savour roll served warm I think it might have been a sausage meat filling soo tasty from Woolworths every Saturday down Holloway Road north London UK 🇬🇧 ❤
Woolworth’s must have been everywhere, Patricia…I bet those sausage rolls were delicious!❤️

Oh my, ur gonna need a vacation after all that traveling.
@@rhondaandrews613 I know! But my mom's been sick so I'm trying to go down to check on her 1x/month... and we haven't seen grandkids since July. When we get home it's back to work 😕

Beautiful love your front door good job

Thank you for commenting and enjoying our videos, Conny…❤️
There is an old Woolworths building in Bakersfield. I was traveling through and saw it. We went inside and it's now an antique store but it still has the original counter serving food. We sat and had lunch there. It was really nostalgic and brought me back to my youth.
Love old nostalgia, Susan…❤️
So glad so many of you enjoyed the Woolworth nostalgia…CWP…we need those places again…❤️
Nanny, When I was young, I went to Woolworths almost every Saturday with my mother. My favorite was the hot apple dumpling topped with a sweet white sauce. I think it was around 25 cents in the late 50's to the mid 60's. They were so delicious. 😊 Agnes
Mmmmmmcan you still get white sauce anywhereAgnes…mom made her own…❤️
Yes I was their in the 60 s too
Never had a Woolwirths but had a pharmacy w lunch counter.
I love your videos and all the wonderful comments! Best wishes from Middle Tennessee.
Thanks so much, Vickie ❤️
Thanks, Lana
Loved the song the two of you sang ❤as in the song EVIDENCE by Josh Baldwin, I see the evidence of God's goodness all over your life, and it warms my ❤
Thanks for enjoying our videos, NLC….❤️
You are so creative!!
Leopard is in again for fall, as well as camel color and stripes.
So glad you are okayHi whe I saw the word fall I thought you had fallen over,as we say Autumn in ,
England so glad you are okay😂 it is a year this week since we lost our Queen😢.Loved your clothes.❤
Thanks, 64….I’ll check out the pumpkins….The door is iron and I can’t move the hook. ❤️
Such a shame that so many of those great stores are gone now…but we do have the memories..Willa…❤️
Have a wonderful time at the shower, Carolyn…stay well…hugs, ❤️
I remember Woolworths Five & Dime, it was my very first job in Baltimore City on The Avenue at 15 yrs old and my blue smock. Me and my Grandmom would go there and get soup and my favorite Strawberry Short Cake! I worked in the Cosmetics Dept of course my favorite area and we sold FlameGlo makeup and lipsticks oh my how i loved that and my counter was the prettiest and clean. What great fun.
Do you remember FlameGlo Makeup a lot of soft pinks then around Twiggy's time. Great memories!
Thanks for all the nostalgic memories…I loved Woolworths and spent many hours there for years! Yes, I’m sure I wore those Twiggy-like lipsticks!!❤️
We always have made our own,Jean…love loved cream soda…
I remember coke floats.
Oh my goodness, Woolworth smh. In Houston Texas downtown had the most awesome biscuits. As good as homemade. Thank you for this memory 😍 and yes my eyes water too... especially in the car AC. 🥲 I enjoyed your video. Thank you!
Thanks, Marigold…❤️
Good afternoon Nanny! Yes, as a kids, Mama would take me sister and I to Woolworth’s store. Egg salad and grilled cheese were favorites! Those were the good ole days! I like the Little Debbie oatmeal crème cookies and the pinwheels, too. Thank you for reminding me of childhood memories! I was thinking why not leave your pumpkins in their naturally aged state. Maybe just add some moss or a leaf to the tops! You’re going to look fabulous in your Fall wardrobe! 🍁💕
I will leave most of my pumpkins ‘au naturale’..Kathy….I just was curious to see if I would like this lighter look ,too.❤️
I used to go after school and had hot fudge sundae or French fries and cake. Junior high. Southern Wisconsin. Woolworth was right at the corner of the main downtown street and Rock river. Memories.
Thanks, Carol…Woolworth’s was a big part of our lives…everywhere!❤️
Thanks for the memory of hot fudge cream puffs. christy…mmmmmm❤️
Hello Nanny 👋 I admire you so much and I do take your lead and sound advice on makeup 💄 and being your best at my age of 78 yrs. You make me feel young thank you💓
Thanks so much, Frankie....❤️
Woolworths in Calgary Alberta Canada used to make hamburgers with gravy. They were delicious
Sounds so good right now,Dona..❤️
We love the Little Debbie cinnamon rolls, too! When traveling in our RV, we always have some on hand. On travel days when we want to get up and get on the road, a cinnamon roll and a cup of coffee is our go-to quickie breakfast. Loved the fall fashions. The camel color looks so pretty on you.
I can smell the cinnamon now, Louann..❤️😥
Thanks for all the fall fashion and decor ideas. That pasta salad looks delicious. Front door is very cheerful and welcoming.
I used to eat sloppy joes at Kresge’s.
I found all of my tortoiseshell jewelry and put it out so I wouldn’t forget. Also I have a lot of Amber rings. My birthday is topaz and It can be blue or brown or yellow.
I’m November, too, Lynda…have fun!❤️
In UK we didn’t have Little Debbie, but I do remember Woolworths did the very best Jam Doughnuts , dusted in icing sugar
What great comfort foods Woolworth’s had, KIWI…because we all remember what we ate and loved there!❤️
Thank you Nanny, I worked in Woolworth on the weekend when I was 13 and the following summer they hired me to work on the soda fountain on the weekends and I used to run it my self on Friday nights.
You look great in white suit
Alittle tidbit on Debbie’s years back you could order a glass cookie jar with Debbie’s name on it
Sadly it broke years ago but wish I still had
Wonder if anybody on ur channel ever ordered one for $10
Love all your videos ❤️
Your watery eyes could be your eyeliner or mascara. They could be past use time…..3 months. If you get a pack of mascara wands (Amazon). Use those in mascara and discard each time. Ink now it’s just one use but saves the eyes and mascara. You won’t be dipping same original wand and leave in tube with STUFF on it. 💕
It’s the fans and the car air-conditioning, Carolyn, that do it….I’ve seen those wands, too….good idea, though.❤️
Such a great video !! I love your stories of the past. My momma use
to take me to Wool Worths.. such a sweet memorie❤. Loved your fall
outfits! Have a great week Nannie!!
Thanks, Marcia..
