Yes, this MV is about the relationship between Fans and Idols and how the connection using technology smartphones (in this case camcorder cause its in the 90s) can become obsessive and how a fans can lose themselves & develop a false sense of a genuine relationship with the Idol(s). Heesoo sees NJs thru the Lense ,thats how she Checks out of Reality (in order fo be part of them). The Boy (her Crush) He represents reality. So by choosing him , she's leaving behind the Delusion of her "Imaginary Friends" & rejoining "the real world" the tapes were always blank. As she's watching these blank tapes (older heesoo) she starts falling back into the delusion.
Hey guys! I LOVE this song. It’s my fav. My initial theory on this MV is that something bad happened and the girl is the lone survivor. Reliving memories of them thru her camera and recordings. I was so sad watching these. I’ve read the actual story but I like my thought better. lol

Serj has similiar taste to me.. first EP doesnt do much for me either (the 90s rnb not my vibe these days) but ditto and omg are amazing (love the introduction of the faster dancier sound) and the UK Garage club sound based EP after that is by far the best thing they have done esp cool with you and New Jeans (my fave 2 songs)
Its about cameragirl heesoo who is so lonely she uses her love for newjeans to create an imaginary world where shes friends with them... its about how fans use kpop to help them through difficult times but is also a word of warning that no matter how much it helps get you through its not reality and eventually you have to move on with reality (represented by the boy.. who shows interest in the girl and is her way in reality of making a real friend or something even more). In side b she comes to the realisation that no matter how much kpop and newjeans help her get through life at the end of the day in the real world shes still all alone so she braves it up and stops being reliant on newjeans (represented by her abandoning her camera) and moves on in the real world with the boy. The ending is really sad as it shows her now older but again regressing into her lonelines and depresion.. as she once again slips back into her imaginary world.... this is shown by her actually watching white noise on a blank cassette (as was shown earlier) but what we see on the screen is what she is seeing i her head.. this is reinforced when we see her seeing the girls come into the room (with heesoo as well) proving its all in her mind again.

My theory back then is, all six of them used to be friends wearing brown uniform in autumn season, but her friends and Hee Soo going to a winter holiday trip, and have a car accident or such which cause Hee Soo arm injured and casted, but took all her friends life, during that accident, Hee Soo might saw the deer that cause the accident before she lose her conscious. Hence when she return to school at spring with her blue uniform, she is still dealing with her trauma and her salvation lied on that boy she unconsciously noticed. Several years after graduation, she return to school and found those footage in memorial of her friends during autumn I guess that remind her of their good old days back then in that autumn.
