Please change the spelling of "quiet" to "quite" if possible...The learners are getting confused. The correct statement would be " The film was quite interesting".
I think quiet means silent. And quite means completely or pretty or wholly . For example!! Your quite amazing.. that means your pretty amazing. Just like that...
Greetings to u ..whole day I watched ur lessons today.and I feel motivated. You are beautiful and extremely good in ur presentation. Thank u. Loved all ur lessons
Thank you! Your class helped me a lot! But could you help me to follow? Because I'm a beginner in English. I think they are representing levels. Are these phrases correct and they are represent levels? If yes, what is the correct order? - I think math is very difficult. - I think math is rather hard - I think math is pretty hard - I think math is fairly difficult. - I think math is quite difficult.
Hi Niharika! I just have a doubt What does this sentence mean? ' His performance was quite magnificent ' Is it reducing the intensity of the word ' magnificent ' ? But how? Because the adjective ' magnificent ' is already such a intense one.
I watched your lesson just now. Many have noticed the confusion of ' quiet' and 'quite' there. These things happened but the confusion for a beginner is the closeness of the spelling and yet the distance between their meanings. However, how right are you presenting the words 'quite' and 'rather' only as mitigators ? Are they never used as intensifiers in English?
mam i have a little confussion between adverb and intensifier because as you know that very is a adverb of quantity so and adjective also modify to an other objective can you please explain it little bit
