  • The BBR Brothers (www.barebonerides.com) finished this build in November 2014. Once again, our customer found us through our UA-cam videos of the other KZ1000's that have come through our shop. He was hoping we would accept his KZ1100 Shaft-Drive Project ... hoping we could turn her in to a low-keyed, no bling, old-school hardtail custom bobber. We said yes and commenced the transformation ... the end result is what you see here! Hope you all like her ... and if not no worries, this bike is not for everyone. Our customer was blown away at the unveil and loves his new ride! We purposely kept her quiet to meet our customer's needs - she will not piss off the neighbors much. As always, we definitely appreciate you guys checking her out ... and thank you in advance for your comments/feedback! More photos (before/during/after) on our website (www.barebonerides.com) under the "BBR Bikes" tab ... scroll down to the "Bobbers".

      Thanks for the feedback and checking out this build, Rudolph. To be honest, we tend not to write-down how we set-up the carbs as each bike is different ... we have worked on the same type of bikes in the past that have required different jetting to achieve optimal performance. If you send us an email to joseph@barebonerides.com, we will gladly send you some tips on getting started with rejecting your bike depending on the exhaust/intake set-up you are planning to use!

    Hey I need help figuring out how to take off gas tank on my 83 1100. Any help is appreciated

    • @barebonerides
      @barebonerides  3 роки тому

      Hey there, hoping by now you were able to get your tank off. As we recall, you will need to pull off the seat to expose the main mounting bolt on a tab attached the the rear of the tank in the middle. Once you remove that bolt, you can tilt the tank up to expose some of the hoses and sending unit plug under the tank. Disconnect these items and simply pull the tank off the rubber grommets that are attached to tabs on the frame. Hope that helps!

      @@barebonerides There was no bolt. It just sits there and after removing fuel line it just pulled off

      @barebonerides  3 роки тому

      @@supertrucker1356 That's interesting ... I know ours did have a bolt holding the tank the frame. Guessing your model has the tank held in place by the seat. Anyway, glad you were able to get the tank off the frame!

    • @supertrucker1356

      @@barebonerides There is like a metal t under tank that slips into a rubber bushing, so no tools needed for this tank removal. Thanks for responding
