Excellent commentary by a man who knows what he’s talking about. Thanking you 😊
Very clear and concise and without the need for a special twist tool. Excellent. Thank you
Great video/demo! 1 of top 2 videos on haywire twist. Thanks folks, in front of and behind camera.
Love it
Highly professional, & the parts about disposing of the points for safety is huge, oftentimes understated in almost all Internet videos, in multiple realms

I'm having a problem breaking off the wire, gone threw 2 whole spools just practicing
Go the Nomad lures!. Living on Thursday Island in the Torres Straights Nomads and wire are my best friends.
Thank you sir!
Great video thanks.
Can this leaders be applied to a bluefin Tuna lures or not?
It can be! But it's not all that necessary compared to fishing for very toothy pelagics like wahoo or dogtooth tuna.
Love this thanks boys!
Cheers!
Nice thanks
Which LB class is the wire in the video? And which brand do you recommend? Thanks for the info, great video!
Thank you
Cheers!
What lb wire is 59lb good
I swear they make it look so easy lol
is that 7 strand wire?
When i was a kid i would take 2 coffee straws from from McD. I would slide them on the wire to help twist the gotcha plugs. A old lady show me this cause the 27# wire would cut her hands.
Do you use the same haywire to attatch at the other end?
Great video! what number wire is that? thanks!
Split-ring on wire connection can slip thru the split-ring Better to use solid ring?
you can!
How many pounds is that wire you are using? I have 100lb and hard to twist
I think it's difficult either way. Practice and you'll get better
Thanks mate. Slowly getting it right.
Get the hay wire tool for the size wire you use
Okay to use single strand with haywire construction pulling MadMacs high-speed ?
Yup!
@@BDOutdoorsdotcom I appreciate the reply.. I want something to pull on the way out to the Northeast canyons at speed for a chance wahoo. I was thinking a short section of single strand might be stealthy enough for the odd tuna too, as opposed to cable..
Can go on casting rod
Yup!
But the fish don't bite with wire leader.
