There was a Grateful Dead tribute band that bought a camp ground and would put on festivals.
At first they just looked the other way when it came to drug dealing but soon some unsavory types moved in and they had trouble.
The band went to the cops and asked for help, tried to hire the police for security.
      The police blew them off.
Turns out the cops and the feds were building a case against the band leader and owner of the camp ground.
Turns out the camp ground was next to a park that wanted to expand.
The locals didn't like the music fests so someone came up with the idea charge the band leader with drug trafficking, lock him up then seize the campground.
The locals get a larger park and no more music fests.
The only bright side of the story is the band leader got sent to a prison that allowed the prisoners to learn an instrument and play music.
So he got to practice guitar full time for however long he was locked up.

This is not the only time this goes way far back in time, bud. If the state thinks that you’re doing something illegal or not, they’ve gone after innocent people over and over and even if you proven court that you are innocent, they will drop the charges right at the end of court. Turn around and recharge you for something else.
There’s a video somewhere on here of a paraplegic that was charged for selling his narcotics which he was not in a jury, found him guilty and gave him 10 years . He was just taking a larger amount of narcotics because of how fucked up he was which is legal. But the state didn’t drop because they had that money they’ll to anyone. Doesn’t matter what year. The actual good reason to have it in the morning is that the attendees will spend money in the local community. Holding it at night means that the city gets nothing back for being the venue. Usually if you do something at night, the unwritten rule is you pay bribes to the police or offer women of the night for the local community. They did none of those things.

just putting this out there... we had some issues with police about an hour and a half south of Nashville with an officer involved car accident on our land. Officer trespassed on our land on the side of a mountain. Dad slid into the back of the guys personal car, not a squad car. Guy was off duty with his daughter in the car. We have signs and a gate and he ignored it. Essentially, no damage to either vehicle aside from a scuffed bumper. The arrested my dad on the spot, impounded his truck and threw 4 charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon on him. It's taken us 3 years to get his charges dropped down but we had to fold because we simply couldn't afford to pay the attorney anymore. Having sold a bunch of tools and vehicles from our homestead. My dad had to take a plea deal because we simply couldn't keep going financially. These cops are CORRUPT in the southeast of TN.

Got pulled over doing 15 over on a side street on my junior operator license, guy was a rookie cop scared of his own shadow and pulled a gun on me when I had zero tints, my hands were visible, and there hasn't been a shooting in my town for almost 30 years now... guy said I reached for something when all I did was pick up my phone and pause my music... Anyways guy tickets me after all that and swears up and down I wouldn't lose my license, for context in Massachusetts one infraction on your JOL can turn into a 6 month suspension. Driving to work 2 months later I get pulled over and told I'm driving on a suspended license and being charged for it. Got the case thrown out in court because the state never notified me my license was suspended but my court hearing was 6 months after it already happened so in the end I still lost my license for 6 months. Law enforcement and the judicial system in this country is beyond broken and often blatantly corrupt.

Reminds me of a local case with a nightclub. It's the 90s, ecstasy is everywhere and a local nightclub owner is tearing his hair out trying to stop it. He asks the police to post officers in the club regularly, even offering to pay for the officers to be there, and the police simply responded saying 'we can't do that'. The owner posted extra bouncers and banned people for anything to do with drugs whenever it was found.
Meanwhile the council was trying to buy the nightclub - it's a historic venue and the council wanted to do up the street that the club is on. However, the council always massively lowballed their offers and they were all rejected. The council commissioned a report on the club and one of the findings of the report was that the value of the building would be significantly less if it were unoccupied.
Surprise surprise, a few months later there was a police raid and they found drug dealers in the club. Nothing in the private areas, nothing connected to the club owner, nothing to do with the staff, just punters doing 90s club scene things. The owner was however arrested and charged with allowing drug dealing on his premises, and the club was shut down.
He was sent to jail for 9 years and the council made another dirt cheap offer, pointing out that the building was now no longer a busy nightclub and effectively abandoned, hoping that the owner would be forced to accept in order to alleviate his financial issues from fighting his case. However, he rejected it, and has done so ever since.
He was offered 1.5m for the building a few years back but he said he'd rather give it to the city for free in return for an admission that he was innocent. The offer was rejected and the building still stands derelict.
If they want to hang you the police will more than gladly facilitate crime and stand aside, just so they can get you.

It's as if someone held a music festival, some random guy who attended was selling drugs, got caught, but the person throwing the event was arrested and charged as a drug lord. It doesn't make sense to charge the event holder over the actions of someone else acting maliciously.

    • @JH-wd6dp

Event holders do bear some responsibility for putting on a safe and secure event, particularly against foreseeable problems. This guy just publicly admitted he knows this problem will occur at his events, but apparently hasn't done anything to prevent it. Adding "no burnouts or donuts" to the flyer isn't enough and if he wants the police to actually be involved and help him do his job, then he needs to pay them to have special police details present.
In other words: he's too cheap to hire security and is complaining that the taxpayers won't foot the bill for securing his event.

@@JH-wd6dp Where do you get that from? He said he attempted to contact the police for assistance and got no reply. He never said he expected it to be free. Also, if the police are present there anyway, why not do their jobs while they're there or notify him that he will be held responsible for what happens instead of just charging him out of nowhere for 5 car shows that police were present for. There's a right and wrong way for police to operate. This is the wrong way. They're trying to claim 5 riots happened in their presence, but they did nothing. Sounds like the police should hold some accountability if he has to.

    • @JH-wd6dp
      @JH-wd6dp Місяць тому

@@James-vn8zb He made no mention of trying to hire any kind of security, police or otherwise, and neither him nor the police have mentioned any sort of security being present. All he said was he emailed the police to come assess the locations and he received no response. Translation: he asked them to do security consulting and they declined by not responding. As well, it's important to know exactly when he started "asking for assistance."
"if the police are present there anyway, why not do their jobs while they're there or notify him that he will be held responsible for what happens"
You're assuming they weren't doing their job, but one part of doing their job is the collection of evidence. Keep in mind this video is only his side of the story. The police's side appears to be their presence at some of the meets was because they were already looking at who was organizing the events. The police are under no obligation to give people advice, especially during an investigation.
By his own statements, he didn't start looking at getting things like permits, permission, and insurance until things had already started to go wrong, in which case I suspect the police were already building a case against him. They went after the root of the problem (illegal/poorly managed car meets) instead of the symptoms (individual drivers attracted to the meets).

Australia the state of Victoria. there were these thigns called "Skid Meets" where car guys would all get in a group and go to industrial areas and go burnouts untill their tyres pop.
Nobody around, organised, several locations because cops would come when someone hears the noise. My friend took me on a few of these nights, the youngest people, on probationary licences would run read lights at high speed to try keep up with the group because they wouldnt be in the group that gets told the pre planned locations.
One kid was going home from a meetup one night and went too fast, on his own (one car), over an overpass and went over the rail killing everyone in the car mostly because of being a new driver.
Things like that would spoil the whole thing for everyone, the organiser ended up going to jail. even though he never told anyone how to act, just where to meet.

Some "official" (probably a local politician or other high-placed individual) gets wind of these gatherings and wants them shut down. 3. Said "official" complains to the Police brass that they aren't "doing enough" to stop them. 4. This goes down the chain of command in the department that officers need to "do something". 5. Seems to be a common theme in America as of recent. Law enforcement goes after everyone EXCEPT the actual criminals. It appears they allowed the events to get out of hand and are using you as a poster child for prosecution. While you were pointing out law breakers, they were building a case against you.

the reason the cars and coffee meetups attract more shade than the night time meetups that end up in a takeover is there are no off duty cops attending your private daytime meetups. my guess is that almost every takeover group has multiple off duty officers there that are known to the uniformed patrol folks standing there and watching instead of intervening.
